Does anyone know if there's a way to request a reward zone card? I signed up online a few months ago and figured they would send me a card eventually, but it never came. I'd like an alternative to having to print one out everytime I want to use it.
Traded them into Walgreens. $25 a pop its really good deal and Walgreens is topnotch. Just go up to the makeup booth and give them the games. Works like a charm.
yeah okay, with your 1 trading feedback and you're still in training. sit down, be polite and answer the question properly or don't reply at all. What should be done is put all useful on the 1st page and OP should edit it out so we don't get newbies and other non-useful dumb comments like the one above. Anyways, for anyone still wondering just get these for about $10-$11 from bb with coupon then look @ the tiv on the trade in center for bb and you'll double your money.
Actually, I beg to differ on Just Cause 2, since there's just so much ground to cover and so many little secrets to find. It's well worth the $30 pricetag. Now Split Second on the other hand.....meh.
That wasn't really a statement on the quality of the game- just the price. S/S is $40 everywhere (and cheaper at costco), but in trying to follow this thread it sounded like you guys were stacking deals to get it for really cheap.

Says the person who said this a bit earlier in the thread:
you're getting the game for $11 and flipping it where? I called gs the other day and was told they're only giving like $9 and change for it so where exactly is it that people are trading these in to?
The reason the values haven't dropped like a rock as of yet is because only people who do their own legwork and figure out where to get the games cheap to flip to BB/DT/TRU/etc have taken advantage of these flipping opportunities. Putting the info in the first post of a thread that's ONLY supposed to be for the deals from BB(and not for flipping talk)will make more people aware of it and then the values will tank and who will come back here to bitch? You(and many who wanted the info in the first post) will.

The less people that know about flipping and using coupons and glitches to their advantage, the better it is for the rest of us.

Not sure why but I already received the 500 bonus points for my Halo Reach pre-order. Anyone who pre-ordered before May 15th got 500 bonus points and 3 months of Xbox Live for free (1 month if you pre ordered standard edition). I'm assuming I won't get the 3 months until the game comes out in September but I guess I'll find out. Kinda nice to have the 500 points already in my account though.

My points haven't reached me yet. No pun intended. :bomb:
Is there a June thread yet? I searched, but I do not see it. Yes I am aware it is May 31st.
Off-topic but I just read your funcoland post and that story is amazingly hillarious.

Picked up 3 SMB today from my Best Buy for $9.99 each. Had the cashier scan the coupon 3 times, thanks to everyone who contributed to this deal.
and now the tiv's drop like a rock. indy 2 down to $9 and smb down to $8. hopefully you all locked in your tiv's.
Got together with family for the holiday and I was able to hit up a BB near them. I found two more copies, but didn't have access to any computer. By the time I went to submit, the value had dropped.

Now to research a bit and see if I can still make some money, otherwise I'll just return them.

That's the way it goes sometimes.

You could always go GS... $9.50 x 1.4 = $13.30 (assuming TIV held from when it was reported 5/21), which is obviously not as good as $25 but still better than returning.
Is there a June thread yet? I searched, but I do not see it. Yes I am aware it is May 31st.
I went ahead and created it since no one else has yet. Enjoy! :D

Damn. I had locked in 12 or 13 SMB at $25 and 10 at $20... but they went off sale before I could clear out the store north of me about 20 miles. Oh well.

And that's why these TIVs drop like a rock. if you think you won't be able to send them in, then don't lock them in -_-. It just screws everyone else over.
And that's why these TIVs drop like a rock. if you think you won't be able to send them in, then don't lock them in -_-. It just screws everyone else over.
Hey dummy. The trade value stayed $25 until the sale was over, anyway. I locked the $20 in when I bought them and locked the $25 when they went up... I ended up with 6, but thought I would have 10. The extra 2 at $25 were because I couldn't figure out that I needed to hit "update quantity" before I submitted.

I'm not going to wait until I have games in hand or packed up to ship out to lock in. That's idiotic.

Looks like SMB is back up to $49.99 at Best Buy now anyway. Looks like yesterday was the last day to get it for $9.99 AND to lock in the $25 TIV. I'm gonna send in the 3 I got yesterday, very close call.

That's unusual that a sale price would last until a Tuesday, though I guess maybe the holiday yesterday was what kept the price from going back up.

Weird.

So if I locked them in at $25, I should be good right? Somebody said it is good 30 days from the day you locked in the price, is that correct. If not I don't want to send them in if they're only fetching $10 each...

Has anybody else had problems with the people at the UPS store? Last time I dropped something off with a prepaid shipping label they got all butt-hurt and gave me a lecture that it doesn't benefit their company when I drop off stuff and that I should pay through the UPS store if I want them to stay in business.

I have had that same problem at several different UPS Stores. Apparently, they only get a very small amount of money for handling a package that gets dropped off with a pre-paid label. Personally, I don't care. If they're going to hold themselves out as the "UPS Store", the fact that they get shafted by the franchising company, UPS, is not my problem. At one point, UPS delivered two packages to my address that weren't even addressed to me (i.e. different name and address) and I tried to drop them off at the UPS Store and they refused to take them. They claimed I had to return them to the regional UPS center. I just stormed out and told them I was trying to do the right thing and they could throw them in a dumpster for all I cared. So, yes, I dislike the UPS Store.

They didn't give me any problems today when I dropped off my shipment of games, other than I wasn't allowed a receipt for some reason.

hahah! I've gotten the same lecture. Twice.

I'm like "dude, I don't pay for these. leave me alone!"

Instead, I just drop it off at the Staples where they actually appreciate my dropping off UPS. I talked to the guy at staples and he says that even if they only get a small% of the shipping cost if you only drop off, they get you in store.

In either case, UPS store aka mailboxes etc can go fuck themselves. I don't need a lecture when dropping stuff off. Either negotiate a better deal with UPS or go out of business. You're here to serve me as a UPS customer. I don't give a shit what your internal money breakdown is.

Next time that happens just call the UPS 800 number and they'll send out a driver to pick them up. No charge to you and you don't even need to be home. I worked at (and basically ran) a UPS store for a good 3-4 years and UPS essentially instructed us to not accept any mis-delivered packages that customers brought in. We were told to tell them to call the UPS 800 number and inform them of the mis-delivery.

For prepaid labels that were dropped off the stores actually get $1 for each dropoff that they accept so they shouldn't bitch about it.

In my case, the UPS drivers around here must've been trained by some martial arts master, since they're stealthy like a fuckin' ninja.

If not for me being downstairs and being able to hear the 'plop' when they unceremoniously dumped my Red Dead Redemption that Gamestop overnighted to me(and the big box from EA's online store glitch/sale a while back) I would've never even known they had dropped off anything.

I mean, I know these guys are on a time schedule sometimes, but how hard is it to ring a doorbell and drop off stuff at the front door.
I'm all about the "read the last few pages" stuff-- but some of the conversations that happen in this thread are so cryptic and tight lipped that it's impossible to figure out what's going on even if you read the last few pages.
Actually, it's just that many are too lazy to skim posts to find the relevant information.

Or you know....just look and cross reference games on sale at BB and other stores versus Reward Zone coupons and trade in values.

That's just soooooo hard to do too.

Before the holiday weekend, I shipped out a bunch at $20 each, then on Sunday I finished up the rest of Northern Virginia and shipped out another package at $25 each. This is my first time using Dealtree, I hope everything goes off w/o a hitch. From what I've read on these forums, everything should be fine.
Anybody else having problems logging into their BB trade-in account? I've tried 2 or 3 times and it won't let me in...:bomb:
No. But my current/pending trades(6 copies of SMB:S&R, MAG, AFRIKA)are NOT SHOWING UP!!!:bomb:

Time to check the DC#'s for the packages, which went MIA as of the Capitol Hills, MD scan two days ago.

EDIT: STILL MIA!! Last scan was Capitol Heights, MD. Here I thought the games would make it to the verification stage in record time too.

Ooh, Manassas was out on Friday, as was Gainesville and Fair Lakes. ;) Thank goodness for the "In-Store Availability" function! While I was hitting Alexandria, VA I couldn't find any copies so I checked to see if they had any in stock. Turns out Alexandria had 1 copy and the next closest stores (Bailey Crossroads, Arlington, etc) were out of stock. The lesson? Save yourself a trip if you're hunting down copies and check their inventory!

^^ You guys were lucky I wasn't in town for a work trip. I would have hit up Springfield for sure since I usually stay right near there. I haven't been out there since January though.

Yeah, I figured they got something and if it is $1 why the hell are they complaining!? I've never had a problem dropping stuff off at my local UPS store and getting receipts as well. Sometimes they are pretty slow dealing with the customer in front of me but they always seem to appreciate having stuff dropped off. I mean, $1 isn't much, but considering it is 30 seconds of work to scan and print a receipt (or even less if you just drop it and go) that isn't too bad a deal for them. I dunno - maybe the receipt costs them some money ;).

But why are we talking about UPS anyway? The only place I know of that uses UPS is Amazon/NorAm. All my Dealtree stuff has been USPS.

And don't worry about Dealtree. They sent out a big batch of PayPal payments today (to everyone). One of mine was for a Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll (submitted, obviously, when it was still just $20).

5 of my smb's ($20 each, doh, lol) got there on may 27th according to track n confirm... im just waiting for bestbuy's tiv to verify or whatever they do. i know it took a month last time, but im hopin for a lil faster turnaround this time...

Same here. I sent in my games and the DC says that they were delivered but they still haven't shown up on dealtree.

What is the most games you guys have bought (where you got them for free or on sale AND used a coupon) that you also entered onto your rewards card?
How can you add them to your RZ account? Did you pay cash for them? I
I used cash.
The coupon only works on one item instead of three(like the coupon says it does), so you would've needed to have the cashier scan the coupon three times to get the discount on all three games.
y.
Does every coupon always only work on 1 game instead of 3? If we use one in June for instance.
Paranoid much? How will the cookies stick if you log out (and properly logged in without checking any sort of "remember me" options)?

Log out, and force it to go out to the main menu. Try to go back in. You won't be able to get anything (username), if you did it properly.

I'd be a lot more worried about Best Buy's ability to REALLY lock down the computers from keyloggers, viruses, etc.. I hate using public terminals for ANYTHING and usually will change my password as soon as I can after using one.
I'm sure people who know how to really use computers or hack can find your username relatively easily. Then they run a program somewhere else that attempts passwords for them. I'd rather be careful about stuff than pay a huge price & frustration to save a couple cents. Anyways, if you change your password immediately after using any public terminal, then maybe you shouldn't throw out the paranoid word.
Maybe I'm missing the point but....don't ALL these purchases go on your Reward Zone account, regardless of payment type or other factors?

A. You are using a RZ coupon.
B. You must scan your RZ card to use a RZ coupon.
C. All purchases made during that transaction now get attached to your RZ account.

Yes?
.
No, not when you don't give them your RZ card and they don't ask.

How did you get on average 4-5 copies per store, did you go to each store 4-5 times? How many did they put on your reward zone card?
Does every coupon always only work on 1 game instead of 3? If we use one in June for instance.
Actually, the coupons used to work as intended up until corporate fucked them up during the first free game glitch where the coupon applied to a sale game.

Then they edited it in the system to add in the asterisk of doom that is supposed to be an automatic red flag for cashiers/managers to not apply the coupon to the game(s) as the asterisk denotes that the game is on sale and thus the coupon should NOT be applied.

Yet with the Nerf and SMB games the asterisk was up on the screen the entire time when I was getting copies. You just have to get a cashier and/or manager who doesn't give a shit and will just apply the coupon, as a grey screen comes up asking if they want to apply the discount on the sale item.

So their system still isn't fixed 100%, which is still good for us.;)
