I'm surprised BB would be rewarding it's "devil" customers with free/renewed memberships... Seems like the only time I head to BB is to get the cheapest deals possible, never for MSRP stuff.
Then again, RZ is probably a good tool for BB to suck people back to their stores. I found myself buying Pirates ($28.99) and RE:Outbreak ($9.99) just to take advantage of the 10,000 bonus points and $5 RZ certificate... Ordinarily in the past, I probably wouldn't have bought those games but RZ got me buying them.
Roufuss, thanks for the tip about getting RZ certificates faster via email. I'm new to the whole RZ thing and didn't know.
I'm not really a devil customer as much as some of the other people on here... the only thing I get there is penny guides, but I usually don't put those on my RZ card. I do get the majority of my DVD / CD releases there, though. Best Buy has actually been good to me, so I don't really take advantage of them. Plus, when I have extra money and I'm shopping around, I generally do it at Best Buy because of the card.
Plus, I get the points form my family members as well... Best Buy lets you submit a receipt through myrewardzone.com if you forgot to give them your card. When my Mom got her DS, that went on my card, and when they usually go buy 3 or 4 DVD's, that goes on there too.
I remember they use to give you 5000 bonus points for switching your RZ certificates to email... they might still do that. You get your cert in 3 - 5 days generally, and you can print it out, rather than wait however long it takes for them to mail it out.
The card is a nice feature that I wish other stores would adopt... it's nice that when Constantine comes out on Tuesday, I can PM that to CC for 14.99, use a $10 dollar reward certificate and get a brand new, release week DVD for $5.
