Beyond Good & Evil 2 in pre-production!
i just have to say...i restarted BG&E and it looks amazing in progressive scan on the PS2

has anyone else tried this? it's a little glitchy to get working but it looks like a totally different game IMO
I've done the same thing and I agree that it is too glitchy, but it shows what progressive scan is all about.

Makes me wonder if the teaser trailer was just a hint of the game or a reboot. Because for the people who finished the first one knows, something happens after the credits are done. There was no hint of that in the teaser.

As for the people that post that the last boss was a pain in the ass, what game were you playing? That thing was easier than most Zelda bosses, granted the controls do get messed with in the middle of the battle.

It has me worried that they said the 2nd one would be geared towards casual gamers(& the 1st was geared towards core gamers).

I was thinking of posting about the last boss being hard. Maybe you just read my mind.
Yea, there are lots of bosses that are harder, but it was definitely not an easy boss. The reversed controls were a bitch, and his bouncing everywhere didn't help.

And about the ending credits
so does that mean he is infected? Or he was always on the evil side? Or what? What situation in the game did that "infection" occur to another person?
. It wouldn't surprise me if the new Beyond Good and Evil is a vehicle building "platformer".

Yeah, it's supposed to mean that he's in the final stage of the infection. If you mean the infection on the guy that became your sidekick around the 2nd half of the game, the resistance gave him the last of the antidote they had.

Geez, I finished the game (PS2 version) and I have no idea what you're talking about in those spoilers. I remember that the ending was a cliffhanger, but that's about all I remember. Hopefully I can read an FAQ or something for the first game and get the details of the plot.
If that's actual gameplay for BG&E2, consider me absolutely FLOORED.
Sorry, it's not.

Note the comment I added to my post:
Before anyone gets too excited: this is pretty obviously a proof-of-concept video.
It is some very pretty proof of concept footage and I like their concept... a lot. Looks to be fast paced and exciting.

It's starting become that time, where every E3 announcement gets leaked on the internet. I think I will go for a media black out...

Saw that video on Joystiq and its very cool. My guess is its an ending sequence of programmed actions, so you don't necessarily play here, as you see the hero escape the level. The animations from going up the stairs and running into the wall were cool. The jump then recover on the rooftop and then the extended lung to the air vehicle were nice as well. I'm studying animation in game art & design right now if you couldn't tell already lol.
