CAGiversary!

I've recently come into the possesion of a PSP game I'd like to play, and there are some other games that look interesting to me, so I'm interested in buying one. Thing is, in typical CAG mentality, there is no way I'm going to buy it through anything except the best deal out there. I would naturally want one of the new shiney slim PSPs, so there isn't much selection in the way of used stuff as far as I can find.

I can't imagine I am the only CAG doing this search, so we might as well collaborate. The base MSRP for the PSP is either 169.99 for the core, or 199.99 for the Daxter or Battlefront bundles. The best deals I've found so far are these:
  • Meijer TG: BF, Get $30 off when you buy a PSP (any) and Mercury Meltdown ($19.99) and PSP starter kit ($9.99). Here
  • Target: BF, Get 5 UMD movies free with a PSP system. (Casino Royale, Air Force One, Jumanji, Open Season, and Talladega Nights). Here
  • FYE: BF, "Make your own bundle" $199.99 after $50 rebate, choose any two of Jackass, FF Tactics, NFS: Carbon, Naruto, or Battlefront. Here
  • K-mart: 20% off any item in store. I tried this and it didn't work, but YMMV. Here
No way can this be all the deals, but it'd be great if we could make this list exhaustive before thanksgiving. Help, please?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, how about the Daxter bundle (includes a 1 G memory) at CC with the $40 off $200 coupon?

or a $169.99 unit minus 20% at Kmart?

Link for CC thing? I hadn't heard about that yet.

As for the Kmart thing, I tried it and the Kmart I went to said they wouldn't honor it. I'll go ahead and add it, tho.

The Circuit City coupon doesn't allow for consoles, so that won't work. And I got the Kmart coupon to work with the PS3, so I know it will work with the PSP. You're best bet is to go several times during the day and find an older lady back in the department who doesn't care so much. I went 5mins before Kmart closed and there was an older lady working there, and she didn't even read the coupon at all. I've heard of several people getting turned down by one person, returning, and then it working with another. Just keep trying, because IMO, you're not going to find a better deal in a long time.

I would, 'cept they didn't even have any PSPs in stock. And it's kinda far away, so it's not entirely economical to keep trying... I might give it another shot tomorrow, I guess.

Oh, shoot, I meant to post this in the "Request a Video Game Deal" forum. My bad... if anyone could move it, that'd be sweet... or should I just repost it there?

the circuit city coupon does say EXCLUDES vg consoles, but if you go through a similar approach as you have done with kmart, it may work. again YMMV, as i was able to get 40 off a daxter bundle (caved when i saw my bro and cousin playing fftactics) with the 40 off 199 coupon by approaching a csr who was just about to clock out and join his buddies for a night out. if you're daring enough, you can try it. it's always worth a shot...

I visited K-mart (hayward, CA) again today, but they were still out of stock. Grr, and it looked like the person managing the section would have taken the coupon, too. Oh well.

Again, does anyone know how I can get this topic moved?
