Let's say I want one of the first two cards, (first one being sold out, may have to bite on second one).

decent deals... especially for the usually more $$ bfg brand.

I think i got mine for about the same price or a little cheaper after cashback a month ago.


Price drop is due to the 295 and 285 coming out.

How big is the card? I'm looking to upgrade from my 7900gs, and I think my case is relatively small.

probably a full size card that requires a mid-tower. I imagine these run a little warm, so even if you can fit it in a small case, you'll want breathing room for it.


Are these the top of the line Nvidias right now? I haven't kept up with cards since I bought my GTS512.

Combining the 10 coupon for being a new customer to buy.com, the 20 mir, and free shipping you could get the card for 180 bucks. Which is an insane price for the GTX280. I want it to go out of stock already so it doesn't keep tempting me to order one.
 
Yeah looks like they raised the price. Damn! I was about to hop on the EVGA. Here's hoping the 4870s and 4870x2 jump down in price. I know XFX just released their first 4870s which are sweet.
 
now that I've researched it, I really want one at that price. :lol:

some guy just listed one on ebay new for $255, but I'll wait until I can find another at sub $200.
 
Tempting deal...but I think I'm going to wait until the summer where I can afford to build a whole new computer...by then that or something else will be equally as cheap.

Besides, my current tower and power supply prolly couldn't handle it :p
 
I bought one at like 2AM. The SSC version. We'll see if it actually ships. I still have a step up on my 260 and I really want a 285, but a 280 would be nice.
