Big Brother 10 Discussion Thread - Game over! See you next Winter.

If Dan and Memphis are serious about going to the wire together I say they get rid of Keesha this week and then hope they can keep Jerry from winning the final HOH. Keesh is more beatable in the final jury than Jerry, but she's a much larger threat to win the final HOH in my opinion.

However if one of them becomes convinced Keesha would take them if she won then they'd obviously be wise to try to keep her as they'd potentially be in a no-lose situation.

If I were Memphis and I won the final POV I'd play it like this:
1. Make sure Jerry is wearing his Marines hat.
2. Make a deal with Jerry where you save him over Keesha this week and he agrees to take you into the final 2 if he wins the final HOH. (Hell Jerry would probably take Memphis over Dan anyway since he despises Dan.)

I'd feel more confident about Jerry keeping his word than Keesha, but either could break it. Also I'd feel more confident about Jerry wanting to take Memphis through to the final 2 over Dan than Keesha. Only downside here is you might piss off Keesha to where she votes for anyone but Memphis in the final jury.

If Keesha or Jerry win the final POV it'll be interesting to see if Memphis makes promises to them to save his butt. I think Jerry would probably dump Memphis thinking neither Memphis or Dan would take him to the final 2 and maybe Keesha would. (Probably not but at least a better shot than M or D.)

Well the finally showed the episode at 10pm last night...better late then never.

I think its a huge gamble for them to try to get rid of Keesha, the way I see it, if Jerry makes it to the final two, he's going to win the jury's vote no matter who he's up against. Anyone up against Keesha is a totally different story.

I am very pleased they didn't show Keishas laugh till a few episodes ago.
I always knew she was stupid and annoying but throw that laugh on top and forget about it. I find it funny she wanted to be an actress and is still working at Hooters.

I agree with that, but I just think Memphis and Dan should be able to beat him in the final HOH comp. I wouldn't bet the farm on it, but I'd lay fairly hefty odds. :D

If it comes down to Memphis vs. Dan in the final jury I'd give the advantage to Memphis simply because I don't see Ollie, April or Michelle voting for Dan and that's 3 votes right there. Add Jerry's vote to the mix and he has 4 votes against him which is enough to decide it flat-out. However Dan is pretty smart so maybe he'll be able to sway some votes in the final interview and/or on the trip with Michelle to a private beach.

I would expect Dan to start making that argument with whoever is left in the final 3. Especially if it comes down to Keesha/Dan/Jerry. Dan gets in Keesha's ear that there is no way she'll beat Jerry but she would probably beat himself and she'll probably keep him.

Keesha staying this week is critical because the girl sucks even worse than Jerry at challenges. She's won two of them and only because everyone else disqualified themselves while she didn't attempt any answers.

Deep down I want to see Keesha get to the end and pick Dan to go with her. Only because I know Dan wouldn't get rid of him and Memphis needs to get the boot right up the ass in this game. A lesson for all his quadruple dealing.

I agree, guys, Keesha is definitely more beatable than Jerry in the finals. Plus, I would not want to risk Jerry actually winning the grand prize. Man, Jerry winning it all would ruin this season for me.

"That's so not cool to kill the moth like that."

"I can't believe you actually did something like that, ass."

"Fruitless exit."

"If there were any single guys in the house, they would be going after the contortionist."

"Dan was a fat little guy!"

"He was, like, talking in a different language, and I was like, 'Dude... dude.'"

I would have tried to spark a conversation with the sumo wrestler. If that failed, I would have started saying in Japanese things like "Would you like to lick my burrito" and "Tiny Dancer dances in my pants."

It would have been funny to see him break character. Hehehe... ;)

Those poor moths. :whistle2:( They were my great grandparents! Those bastids.

Smart, risky move by the Renegades. Here's hoping Dan or Memphis win the POV.

And if Dan makes it to the end and doesn't win, I would be shocked. He has definitely played some real smart strategies that make him one of the series' best players. He's up there with Will.

Dan's only advantage is he kicked absolute ass in this game. I thought he was bullshitting with the tired "I've been throwing competitions to look weak, I can win at any time" but then he goes and says it's time for him to start winning and he's won all but a couple by a very, very small margin. He's the best player this show has ever had.

So, Dan has burned almost everyone on the jury but I think everyone will base their vote on gameplay. Risks, success, dodging bullets, etc. I think it's going to be 5-2 with Dan winning. His ace in the hole will be his genuine lack of meanness when he answers questions. Same way Adam got votes he probably shouldn't have had and Ryan lost them.

I hope this jury does indeed vote based on gameplay -- especially if we wind up with Jerry and Dan at the end. While Jerry won a significant amount of competitions, Dan won his fair share and implemented a much better strategy. I wonder if Memphis and Keesha actually think they can beat Dan in the finals. If I were them, I would try to get Dan out, as I would think I would not have a snowball's chance in hell against him. :whistle2:k

Well from last night's BBAD it seems that they've decided to
let go of Keisha, seems like Memphis told Keisha that he plans to get rid of her, she was tearing up to Dan in the HOH room...Jerry will be in the final 3 :wall:...he better not make it to the final two or this season will definitely suck.
Why is everyone so anti-Jerry?
Jerry broke his word at the very start of the game and tried to convince others it was acceptable because he did not wear military colors during his strategic play then failed to understand Dan's position (Dan took off his cross) during his strategic play and went too far when he called him "Judas" and made childish cross hand gestures. Aside from that, after watching the live feed feeds, Jerry just comes off as angry and controlling. Plus, he also took things too far with Memphis when he called Memphis a womanizer. His personal attacks crossed some lines.

Really? Really?! Damn Memphis. The fool. Now, I don't want Memphis in the finals 'cause he just messed things up. :wall:

Jerry also seems like a old perv....he's always looking to get hugs from all the girls. Everytime he has a talk with Keisha, before she leaves he always says "give me a hug"...he just wants to feel her boobies.

And can we really blame him?

Getting rid of Keesha is the smartest thing they could do IMO. Jerry can't hang in an endurance competition (not that Keesha is any better, but dude is old). So, Dan and Memphis clearly have the advantage in at least 1 and possibly 2 out of the last 3 HOH competitions.
Jerry also seems like a old perv....
I'm still waiting for CBS to share Jerry's story with the audience about the Korean prostitute he rented out for a month to be his slave. He sure doesn't mind telling everyone else. Jerry gets way too much slack in editing. He never would have got that phone call if CBS didn't rig it for him.

That is how I expected it to go down if Memphis won POV. Although I thought Dan would try to convince M to keep Keesha as Keesha would potentially keep Dan over Memphis but Jerry won't. (Or at least I'd be pretty surprised if he did.) Perhaps Dan knew Keesha would go apeshit on Memphis and become a rock solid vote in the house?

Can't blame Keesha for being POed although Dan did throw Memphis under the bus with her. I'm surprised he let Dan pull all of that BS without saying anything.

Can't be sure that Keesha will stay mad and not vote Memphis (I wouldn't give him a vote in her position either) but that'd be my prediction I suppose. Also it seemed like Dan may have actually swayed Michelle a bit...

Any final two here should make for a potentially interesting final jury. Although Jerry's answers would probably be coma inducing boring. If Dan wins HOH and sends Jerry out then I'd say Jerry is definitely a vote for Memphis. If Memphis wins and boots Jerry then I'm not sure. He might be mad and throw a vote to Dan a la Keesha, but still Jerry has really not liked Dan throughout this game.

Dan's posturing with Keesha as she walked out the door would have me considering double crossing him were I Memphis but you'd have to be confident you'd take Jerry in the final jury. In the end Dan is still the better shot at the win.

As much crap as Dan has gotten away with, Im shocked that nobody didnt take the chance to get him out either..
So who won the endurance? I suppose it has to be Memphis or Dan.
Memphis won the first one

I have a feeling that if Memphis wins the events he will take Jerry with him...he'd be stupid not to. The way I see it, if its any one of them and Dan, Dan will win...Memphis vs Jerry...Memphis will(should) take it.

If Memphis takes Jerry he loses. The only two people there that were allied with him he'd have pissed off and everyone else would vote for the home team, even if it's Jerry. They both have to cut Jerry loose now.

Gameplay wise if the jury is fair, do you guys really see them choosing Jerry as the better player over Memphis?

Memphis won more competitions, he was on the block to leave a couple times and stayed, Jerry has been a floater since the beginning, if it came down to those two and they pick Jerry, it would be just out of pitty for him being 75.

Yeah, but Keesha was primarily one that helped him stay and he dumped her. He won some competitions, but Jerry won as much if not more. I think they would find more reason to respect Jerry for the wins he had than the ones Memphis earned. Jerry was on the block as much if not more than Memphis and stayed. Their gameplay is similar, it's just the social damage that would decide the winner between those two. So Memphis looks like the weaker player no matter who he sits next to.

It would take a miracle for Dan to lose this game. He'll be honest and take Memphis, further easing the dislike for him on the jury because he ultimately did have someone's back to the end despite some shady activity that suggested otherwise.

They should do a reunion special on Sunday instead of CBS's typically worthless "shit we didn't air" episodes. They do that on Survivor too and it fucking sucks to tune in and see a lameass recap show.
Big Brother really needs a reunion show.
I really want to see Dan and Will, with Memphis and Boogie (less Boogie though; he sorta creeps me out), in the same house.

Big Brother, Season 10
Episode 27

"When Dan walked out with boxing gloves, I hope I wasn't actually going to have to box Memphis as I didn't want to die in the house."

"51 minutes and 22 seconds."

"Being in the Jury House sucks!"

I'm really not sure how the final vote will go. It could be everyone who is mad at Dan will be just as mad at Memphis since they are going to claim they were a secret alliance the whole time and then you'd have to say Dan played the more proactive game so he'd get more votes.

I think Jerry would have beat either of them so Dan was smart to keep Memphis. I think maybe Memphis was screwed no matter which final 2 he ended up with, but he has a chance against Dan.

Might be either 4-3 Memphis or 6-1 Dan depending on whether Michelle/Ollie/April decide they are just mad at Dan or they are mad at both and then give it to Dan for playing a tougher game. The only vote I'd be really surprised by is Jerry voting to give Dan the money.

"And the Renegades? My new favorite Big Brother team."

Nothing has come close to topping the Four horsemen for me. They had the 5th guy (Marvin I think) who thought they were actually a 5 person alliance called Soggy Town Boys or something (I know that's not right) and actually the other 4 were laughing about it.

Besides IMO Dan and Memphis weren't truly committed to each other it just happened that's how it fell together. If Dan had thought throwing in with Ollie would have taken him farther he would have done that. Not saying that makes Dan evil, just that it makes the renegades not much of an alliance.

Even in these last few days Dan has been playing Memphis to be able to work Keesha for a vote and all the while having Memphis on board that it's cool because it's part of their plan to dupe Jerry. Then he faked being upset about Keesha in front of Jerry, again with Memphis's blessing, with IMO the main goal being Jerry will tell the jury house about it when he gets there further reinforcing Keesha's hoped for commitment to him.

You say that now, I doubt you would in two weeks.

Yes! Final two Dan and Memphis...overall I think they both played great but since Dan was the orchestrator of most of the ongoings + he was Americas player and he was able to continue going strong after America fucked him over by voting Jesse out, I think Dan is the true winner.

Soggy Town Boys
It was the Santa Monica Van Boys and yes, the horseman were a good alliance, but they all lost. That's the point. Kaysar's alliance was better than them in my opinion, but they all lost too! So, I would say that Chilltown and the Renegades are both better than others mentioned. From all the seasons, here's how I see it:

Best Player: Will - no question.
Runner-up: Dan (and he should win this)

Best Player in challenges - Janelle (this is not up for discussion, she was bad ass).
Runner-up: "Homeless" James

Most overrated player: Evil Dick (this season had the dumbest cast, period).

Having said that, I agree with everybody. The way I see things, it will go 4-3 in favor of Dan. Jerry/Ollie/April just strike me as people who won't let it go (look at how April is acting). Memphis was going to lose out either way... Dan has been the master of this season and yes, they need to put Will v. Dan in an all star competition (especially if he wins this season).

The reason Will edges out Dan is he did it twice, most importantly, in his all-star season... He didn't win but carried Boogie to a win which is ridiculous considering the target on his back.

How does gay James beat the other James from S6/All Stars? That guy played and won more POV's than anyone, he was even told he broke a BB record...and they backdoored him in the beginning in All Stars because they were afraid of him.

You do have a point. I think my view is a little jaded because James and Janelle played together in both their seasons and she clearly was the best at comps IMO. I guess you could put them both as runner-ups.

Come to think of it, in terms of gameplay, I think S6 had the best cast. I'm still trying to figure out how an alliance of James, Janelle, Kaysar, and Howie lost - ever! Especially after the shit they pulled... In terms of alliances, it's the only 4-person group I've ever pulled for!

Yeah S6 was a solid one...fucking Kayser ruined it for everyone though when he trusted that little bitch and handed her HOH.

You just KNOW that still eats at him even today.....

If I was Memphis, I would have been happy after day 1...I would have been so stoked to have that Camaro on day 1 and now he at least gets 50 g's....lucky bastard.
Yeah S6 was a solid one...fucking Kayser ruined it for everyone though when he trusted that little bitch and handed her HOH.
Agreed, but I do have a little bit of respect for Kaysar since he came up with the idea. His "trust" is what messed it all up. But out of all of them, clearly Howie was the weakest, he was E.D. before we knew of E.D. He was very amusing to watch though.

What do you guys think of the chances for another All-Stars? And I guess what do you think it takes to win this game? I know floating, making a HUGE move about halfway through (basically turning on someone), changing strategies on the drop of a dime, and earning another player(s) unwaivering trust...

It has to. That was a pretty harebrained decision. :whistle2:#

I think Dan and Will did the same thing but with different attitudes. Will was openly arrogant but deliciously tactical. Dan has been more humble, which appeals to me more.

But yes, both are/were brilliant Big Brother players. I guess Will gets the nod because of Season 7. If Dan partakes in an All-Star season and does as well as Will, I would put him ahead.

Speaking of Season 7, I would like to see the coup d'état power return. I think Dan saw that season and used it as inspiration for his "platinum"/aluminum foil POV. :whistle2:k

I guess I missed a lot of funny moments this season...the recap show last night was hilarious. Renny's impressions were the best...also when Jerry was yelling at Libra..."your gone this week!"... good times...I'm going to miss this season.

I now want Memphis to win...the last DR comments last night were something like this:

Memphis: "I'm going to do what I can to win, but I'll be a man about it and not talk bad about Dan"

Dan:
"I have to do everything in my power to win, even if it means throwing Memphis under the bus"

Memphis is just arrogant and thinks he has it in the bag after he thinks he got Jerry's swing vote. Dan is still playing the game.

Fearless prediction -
Memphis 4 - Dan 3
Jerry - M
Ollie - M
Michelle - M
April - M
Keesha - D
Renny - D
Libra - ?

I believe it's currently on the final comm. break before the vote is revealed.

I was way off! :whee:

Are they gonna show the other votes? C'mon Julie!

I wonder if Dan won it with the interview. He was great and Memphis was fairly pitiful.

Wow, surprised that Jerry voted Dan. The others I'm not shocked.

I didnt see it being a total landslide like that...then again, I thought Ryan had a chance against Adam last season....

I thought Renny would win the bonus as well. Keesha surprised me but not as much as April, Libra or Jessie winning would have.

Jessie's reply when Julie asked if he wanted to say anything to Dan was pretty funny. "Well I'd like to say something to America more Julie." I wish he would have yelled "fuck you America!" and flipped off the screen. BB HOF moment.
