Big Brother 8 - Who's in?

Right now everybody is locked up in the HoH. The producers must be setting up for the second round of clues. Jen and Jessica are sharing the bed. BONER!

Oh man. This is the time to get Showtime!
So... the above is true then?
I wouldn't be surprised.
Via realitynewsonline.com:
If you were watching the Big Brother live feeds yesterday, you may have seen some pretty odd behavior – and not from the houseguests, for a change! Indeed, CBS sent out an announcement to RealityNewsOnline that the houseguests “were surprised to find some unusual and uninvited guests in their house when they woke up this morning.”
Who were the guests? “Unbeknownst to the houseguests, a group of specialty performers were let into the house while they slept. As the houseguests emerged, the performers presented various playful and colorful acts before the Big Brother 8 group.”

Rarely does anything happen in the Big Brother house without a reason. And the fact that CBS sent out a special announcement about this even further emphasizes that point. So let’s take a look at what the performers said and did while hanging around.
In the house, a Mad Hatter said the following quotes on numerous occasions:
 • What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
 • Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead.
 • A stitch in time saves nine.
 • Fish or visitors stink after three days.
 • There is no little enemy.
There was some other stuff too, like a human statue and a barbershop quartet. Check out the bold quote though - seems to point us in the direction of that super spoiler.

ET mentioned the BB house getting interesting guests tonight.

Watching now, and I'm already opposed to what's going to happen in the spoilers are true, but I'll save that until the ep is over and I can bitch after seeing it for myself. ;)

What a crock. The Entertainment Tonight story is hillarious considering all those "visitors" were, as Dick said, a big setup for a lousy True or False competition.

Even though that "leak" about the spoilers was a total prank by somebody with way too much time on their hands, I'm surprised there was still no double eviction. A couple seasons back they started doing them so the first houseguest to make the jury didn't have to spend a week all alone in sequester, so the first person there doesn't get cabin fever from all the isolation and threatens to leave. Dustin's going to be bored as hell. At least Porkchop...I mean Amber...should be joining him next week.

There will be a double evicition if you think of it. There are 7 people left and the Live Finale is on the 17th of Sept? Or wait I dont remember the exact date. Anywhere from the 12th to the 17th I think she said. Thats 4 weeks left of Thursday evictions. So there has to be a double eviction soon.

Eric will throw all further HoH comps if he knows what's good for him. Hopefully he has realized America has turned on him.

Turns out that lockdown earlier today might have been because Big Brother finally got their shit together and put up a tarp in the backyard.

Sweet, I was hoping it would work out this way. I couldn't stand Dustin at all, and since ED is my pick to win, obviously it worked out well. Wow, what a turn of events this week.
Turns out that lockdown earlier today might have been because Big Brother finally got their shit together and put up a tarp in the backyard.
Is this speculation, or is there some evidence of this?

Dick was in the backyard talking about how cool it was. That it would be even cooler if they had giant fans above it flapping it around. The lockdown was in the HoH though, which is weird since it would only need to be an inside lockdown. Maybe they were doing something in the house too.

The camera's don't point high enough to see it, but Jameka said something about it only covering half the yard, probably so people could still suntan or whatever.

The episode last night was by far the best yet for the season. That is if you weren't a fan of the "Good People". This is my first full season of following the show and I was leaning towards not even trying out BB9, but after the eviction ceremony I'm looking forward to what lies ahead this season and BB9.

I avoided this thread all yesterday fearing somebody would let slip America's vote for Eric's vote.

Crazy episode. Dustin was floored and pretty upset/pissed during Julie's interview. I think you have to feel bad for Dustin, they showed some clips to make him look like a jackass, but I'm betting they could put together a greatest hits clips show on any of them to cast a bad light. He's the one who saved Eric last week and this week Eric stabs him in the back. (Of course Eric didn't have any choice but nobody else knows that.) Eric even seemed to have parlayed the 'screw Eric' America's vote into a D+D, Jessica and Eric alliance. I guess we'll see if that holds up when Daniele makes her noms. IMO Eric is really smart and I think he's even trying to pull America's strings with what he says when the vote is revealed. He's probably thinking America must really like Dick so he might as well align with him now. I wonder if it's that America likes Dick or most people voting are just trying to do whatever would be the most difficult/shake things up the most. Him being instructed to give the silent treatment to Jessica points to the latter.

Oh, and it certainly seemed like Jessica has a thing for Eric based on her response to Julie's question. He needs to jump on that.

I cant feel bad for someone being pissed about getting stabbed in the back when they themself stabbed others in the back.

If Dick hadnt blown up like he did on Dustin and Amber like he did, Amber might have thought a little and realized what a backstabber Dustin was. Dick took the heat off him and nobody thought much of that.

From the 8/16 live feed:

Yes, they put a tarp up.

The HOH lockdown was to clean prior to the live show.

Dick, for a moment, speculates that Eric is working for the show, but doesn't really elaborate.

Amber figures that Eric and Jessica are aligned with D+D.

D+D decide to nominate Jameka and Amber with plans to backdoor Jen. If Jen plays in the veto, they'll instruct everyone to play against her. If she doesn't, they'll instruct everyone to throw the competition. If Jen wins, Amber goes home, as Jameka isn't a threat due to her non-participation in the HOH comps.

And as for the most surprising aspect, and the part that pissed me off the most, Daniele's HOH letter is from....NICK. WHAT. THE. fuck. Her boyfriend must either be too pissed to write, or CBS must really love rubbing it in his face. Either way, I'd love to see how she reacts to that.

Oh, and I can't believe Eric hasn't jumped all over Jess by now. Especially with the scene in the bed on Thursday. Guy must really be focused on the game. Or really gay.

Who has he backstabbed?

America hates "the gays" so that's why Dustin's name kept coming up.

I also can't believe Eric hasn't tried anythign with Jessica - if he's single (seems like it) and straight (questionable) then he has no excuse. She is pretty hot.

It's over between Danielle and her boyfriend. The guy doesn't write to her, looked like he was 'bout to cry when he got interviewed weeks ago, and Danielle never says a word about him. Everytime she opens her mouth she either says "frustrating" or "Nick."

Danielle's boyfriend is at the titty bar right now.

She should have broke it off before she went into the house. Shocker that somebody was going to try to hook up. How long are they in that house if they go to the end with the same people everyday? That's a long time to leave your boyfriend/girlfriend at home. I will never understand why people cling to these relationships.

Have you guys heard this rumor?????????
Big Brother 8 Jen Rumor

Here's an interesting Rumor that was posted about Jen today as a comment here on the Big Brother Addicts Blog.

Ok, I just got the Jen low-down from a PA at CBS. Apparently, very early on in the game, Eric was leaving the DR and Jen was going in. Eric had just received some instructions, but the staff left the envelope on the couch. Jen came in and found it, and saw HER name on the card (it was a vote on getting someone put on the block). At that time, they had to scramble and fill her in, although she doesn't know the names are coming from America- she just thinks it BB. This now explain why she's calling him 'Mr. America" (it's on the outside of the envelope), and why she's fairly cocky about knowing so much more than others. For the record, they did not tell Eric that she knows. Also, there has been no proof or even suspicion of either Eric OR Jen telling anybody else about his status. Oh, yeah- in return for playing along, if Jen wins the money, she does NOT have to give up the $250K she wagered.

What do you all think? Does Jen really know that Eric is America's Player?

Jen doesn't know everything. She found the envelope, and knows it's related to Eric because he was in the room last. I knew she called him "Mr. America" and joked that she was going to pretend to be a "mole" (saboteur) in the house, but this is the first I've heard about the magic envelope. I suspected she knew something, but this envelope revelation just assures it. Funny that it has her name on it, but Eric never pushed for her. This was back when he was going after Dustin. So Big Brother obviously changed the vote and maybe made a deal with Jen in the Diary Room. There was a point where Eric was acting wierd after an extended Diary Room session, after which he came out and really pushed Jessica into bailing on Dustin. And another odd thing is Eric suddenly seems adamant that Dick and Danielle don't go after Jen.

Either way, Jen will figure EVERYTHING out if they don't succeed at backdooring her this week. Last night was the second time on Showtime that I've seen houseguests crying that there hasn't been an America's Choice luxury prize yet (it's almost two weeks overdue). Once one of them complains about it in Jen's earshot, she's going to realize exactly what's going on with Eric.

Wait, it says Jen caught on early in the game. She only called him "Mr. America" fairly recently. So she must have kept it to herself and only started calling him that after he went on the block and survived.

WTF?

Forget that, my first post was confused about the timeline. I thought Jen only found this out back when Dustin was America's target, but she knew longer than that. I just can't remember far enough back when America ever voted for Eric to target Jen for anything.

wait a tick I have been rooting for her ever since day 1 so you all need to get in line for some sloppy seconds :) The best thing about Jen is every time someone gets evicted she reminds them that her name is Jen. Way to funny. "Hi Dustin it's me, Jen" and so on and so fourth

Too lazy to read every post here but what reason is Jameka not able to play HOH for?

and why is Jen on perma-slop?

The veto comp where Jen ultimately ended up giving up 250 grand.
Same with Swamp Thing...I mean Amber...somebody needs to tell her Dustin is gay and is never going to fuck her.

Awesome pic...and  at the "Swamp Thing" nickname...did you come up with that?

As far as the show right now...I gotta give props to Dick...he's totally playing the game like Will Kirby did last season. Once Amber or Jameka are gone, then things will be getting really interesting.

No way is he playing the Game like Dr. Will. I don't think anyone can play like the Dr.

Yeah, when she lets her hair down she just reminds me of Swamp Thing. That's what I call her.

It should be those useless hanger-ons, Amber and Jameka, back to back, not backdooring Jen. Danielle reminds me of a kid at summer camp crying about how they hate everyone and want to go home." People say Jen lives in another world but I think she can't help it because she's wired funny, Danielle on the other hand chooses to live in another world. Danielle is so much more self-absorbed than Jen.

Think of Darth Vader in ROTS when he finds out Padme is dead
That is how I feel about the possibility of Jen leaving-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
