Gamezebo review:

"It would be nice to see a sequel that's double or triple the length, with more scenes to explore and more challenging puzzles and minigames. Hidden object fans will probably appreciate the trial of Amazing Finds, but might not be as “amazed” as promised. "

Pros: Amusing characters and a humorous premise. Good graphics.

Cons: Too short. Not very challenging due to a generous hint system. Minigames are interesting but easy to beat. Limited replay value.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Lost In The City - A blending of the adventure and hidden object genres. Long adventure with an X-Files-like storyline.

Gamezebo review:

"Lost in the City may be an uneven experience, but it's certainly never boring. The story keeps you guessing and the atmosphere of conspiracy and dread it creates will have you thinking twice about accepting a cup of coffee from anyone. It may ultimately leave some questions unanswered, but its journey is an unusual and intriguing one."

Pros: Great atmosphere. Interesting blend of adventure and hidden object games. Nice and long.

Cons: Puzzle types re-used too much. Poorly-drawn characters.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Top Chef brings a number of great new ideas to the cooking game genre. Perhaps if the developer gave us a cookbook, explicitly letting us know exactly what flavor each ingredient was, and a glossary of combinations, things would be much clearer. As it stands, Top Chef is a smorgasbord of potential, but the finish is a little off. "

Pros: Inventive new gameplay system. Uses real food ideals. Great representation of the TV show.

Cons: Bad pantry system. Hard to keep track of what you’re working on. Mostly useless power-ups. Odd naming system. Ingredients change flavor categories.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"On the surface, the concept of combining the ancient Chinese tile-matching pastime of mahjong with British author Lewis Carroll's classic fantasy story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland seems as far-fetched as... well, a white rabbit in a waistcoat carrying a pocket watch. But thanks to outstanding production values, solid mahjong gameplay, and well-executed hidden object rounds that don't manage to feel tacked on, Alice's Magical Mahjong is a thoroughly charming outing."

Pros: Beautiful aesthetic. Stellar production values and attention to detail. Fun mahjong and hidden object-lite gameplay. Long-lasting modes, plus level editor.

Cons: Free tiles sometimes obscured by perspective. Hidden objects sometimes too well-hidden. Text captions miss out some of the narrative.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

I couldn't find any reviews of this game... If you have any interest in a SpongeBob game, you might want to download the trial version first to see if it is any good...

Gamezebo review:

"Make no mistake: Gripes aside, we liked Camp Funshine: Carrie the Caregiver 3 a lot. With three level goals to shoot for (Goal, Advanced and Expert), and an Endless Camper mode, the game offers a lot of replay vlaue for completionists and time management veterans. And the fun and heart-warming theme is one that can be enjoyed by everyone."

Pros: New camp-themed activities, partner paring and critters. Three level goals including Advanced and Expert. Rock solid time management gameplay. Two modes. Cute and colorful graphics.

Cons: Less innovation than previous game. Improper context for sound effects sometimes. Little explanation for items and power-ups being present or absent in levels.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Sorry, no reviews of this game... but you probably don't want it anyway...

But at least Big Fish is running its Spring Fever sale with 30% all the other games, too. Check the thread for that sale for details...

Gamezebo review:

"No-one would blame you for taking one quick look at Angela Young's Dream Adventure and writing it off as just another sloppily thrown-together hidden object game. It has typos a plenty, the story is barely intelligible, and its characters look like poorly-proportioned wax statues. Look past its rough edges, though, and you'll see that it's not just more of the same old, same old. "

Pros: Well-built hidden object levels. Plenty of variety.

Cons: A nonsensical story. Ugly characters. Short. Music that quickly grows tiresome.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Treasure Seekers 2: The Enchanted Canvases from Artogon is a thoroughly enjoyable Hidden Object/Adventure game that shows that at least in casual gaming, sequels often improve on the original. Beautiful graphics, well-balanced gameplay, and puzzles that are engaging without being too hard combine for a game that’s sure to be an instant hit."

Pros: Very good inventory puzzles. Beautiful graphics. Good variety throughout.

Cons: A few objects are too dark. Length is a little short if you skip the mini-games.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Another fantastic game offered today. Combine Treasure Seekers II with Saqqarah on the Reflexive $2.95 thread and there are some very good buys today. And there's still today left on the Big Fish Spring Fever sale, too.

Do I really need to have a review for this one? Take Diner Dash, replace Flo with SpongeBob, and you have SpongeBob SquarePants Diner Dash. You already know if you will like this game!

Crazy Machines - A puzzle game where you build Rube Goldberg-style contraptions similar to the classic game, The Incredible Machine.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"More than 200 puzzles are included in Crazy Machines, which is quite a lot of fingernail-biting gameplay. We would've scored this game higher if the developers added a hint system so stuck gamers wouldn't get frustrated, plus the graphics are sub par compared to other casual games, but this title is certainly unique among today's overpopulated genres and will provide many hours of mind-numbingly good fun."

Pros: Many challenging puzzles to solve. Simple, intuitive interface. Physics works very well. More than 200 levels to play through.

Cons: No hint or solution button. Low production values. Professor banter gets annoying.

My Tribe - A real-time strategy game that is very similar to Virtual Villagers.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"OK, so here’s the deal: If you’ve read any of the forums you’ll see both sides of the argument – whether Grubby Games “ripped off” LDW’s Virtual Villagers with My Tribe or were they merely influenced by it and created an island sim in the same vein? Gamezebo will also let its readers become judge and jury while debating back and forth, but there’s little argument it’s virtually the same game (real-time play, tech trees, breeding, collecting, tribespersons instead of villagers) but with a few extras, mentioned above. We really liked My Tribe, yes, but if you’ve played Virtual Villagers then there’s not much more here for you – download and play to see for yourself."

Pros: Engaging game-play. Many different islands to explore. Intuitive interface. Lots of variety and challenges. Game plays out even when not playing it. Unlock trophies.

Cons: Very, very similar to Virtual Villagers. Not everyone likes games that continue when you’re not there.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Obviously a labor of love for its creators, The Flying Trapeezees stands out less for addictive play than pure originality. Minor setbacks aside, however, considering the unique theme and range of challenges, let’s be frank – it’s still the most fun PC owners have had under the virtual big top in ages."

Pros: Charm and personality. Unique play mechanics. Constant introduction of new features. Silent film cut-scenes. Wide range of bonuses and tricks.

Cons: Mostly shallow action. Scenarios’ repetitious nature. Won’t challenge expert-level players.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"You won't find '80s gaming classics more aged or hoary than Lode Runner or BurgerTime. It's 100% fitting then that Super Granny 4 - the latest globetrotting adventure starring everyone's favorite octogenarian - once again draws inspiration from these elderly gems. Adding a few nice nips and tucks, not to mention some intriguing new features, it's mostly more of the same great action puzzler you know and love. And, as 160+ new levels prove, that's not a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination."

Pros: Top-notch stage design. Hilarious voice-overs. Side-by-side multiplayer. Miniature visuals. Built-in level editor. Tremendous replay value.

Cons: Unsaved cats revert to original position. High difficulty level. Offers only iterative gains over past installments. Bound to induce frustration.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Not all hidden object games are created equal. With its charming story, high production values and adventure game-like puzzles, Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold is one of the better ones available today."

Pros: Fun take on hidden object games. Good mini-game puzzles. Attractive graphics and great music. Charming story.

Cons: Some objects are confusing or don’t make sense for task. Only one game mode.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Winemaker Extraordinaire is definitely a recommendable game for both fans of and newcomers to the genre. The quest to help Maria bringing her family business up to its former glory is undeniably entertaining and compelling. It is up to you to find out if this wine is to your taste."

Pros: Convincing storyline and fleshed out characters. Addicting gameplay. Rather complex system of grape variety, wine quality and pricing.

Cons: Might be too easy for gamers who are experienced in this genre. Could have differentiated itself more from the Chocolatier series. Rather short length for this type of game.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I can't find any reviews of the PC version of this game, but it also came out on Wii.

IGN gave the Wii version a 3.5 out of 10...

Granny In Paradise - An action game similar to Lode Runner where you must rescue Granny's cats on each level. This is essentially Super Granny 2.

I will update this post every day for the new game each day.

Gamezebo review:

"Granny in Paradise is a game that you can get a long life out of, so long as you play it in short stints. It's not going to leave you frothing to find out what happens on the next level, but it may make you laugh a bit - especially if you enjoy taking on the persona of an aggressive, active and rather high-spirited person. Of course, if you happen to be a cat and parachute-loving, sarcastic grandmother yourself (or the daughter of one), you may find that Granny in Paradise hits a little close to home."

Pros: Good, old-fashioned arcade-style game with no violence; Granny can be a funny gal from time to time.

Cons: Game play and music can quickly become tiresome; A few glitches and bugs cause frustration.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

hmmmm.... didn't they just run Super Granny 4... why run Super Granny 2 just 3 days later?

I guess it is better than yet another Dora The Explorer game!

This game actually generated a sequel, too.

Gamezebo review:

"At the end of the day (or, in this case, days), G.H.O.S.T. Hunters is an enjoyable diversion. Music and sound effects, like thunder, footsteps, whispers and creaking hinges, are appropriately atmospheric. Visuals share company with the best in the genre, though, are a smidgen less pristine than characteristic of the Mystery Case Files series. And, the game offers a modest degree of replay value thanks to alternating culprits and random object lists (though items are stationary, so by the second time through you'll know where most are hidden)."

Pros: Atmospheric music and sound effects, attractive visuals and modest replay value.

Cons: Weak story elements, limited variety, one mode of play and fixed item locations.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"The game leans toward the short side, but in this case that's a good thing. Mystery of Cleopatra has the base for a strong game, but its lack of cohesion and sometimes tedious gameplay put a damper on the fun factor."

Pros: Educational for history buffs. Lovely graphics. Mystery element.

Cons: Hard to see objects. Gameplay can be tedious. Lack of hints for mini-games. Text-heavy.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars
