Gamezebo review:

"Overall, Married in Manhattan is a very good hidden object game that will no doubt impress fans of the series. Even if you haven’t played one of these games before, the four “extra” game-play elements and overall theme and slick presentation should ensure many hours of entertaining mouse clicking."

Pros: Highly polished. Many enjoyable “Registry” mini-games. Clever puzzle elements on some levels. “Wedding Crisis” levels are fun. Can choose your own story path. Attractive graphics and good classical music.

Cons: Some confusing items. Clicking sensitivity not 100 percent accurate. Players can remember where secondary items are.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

"Let's be honest: Here at Gamezebo, we're all for the sort of titles that engage the brain and capitalize on one of America's most popular and longest-running puzzle-solving crazes. Still, it's hard to recommend this particular outing, which is less spectacular or even average than plain old B-L-A-N-D."

Pros: Decent puzzles. Good for beginners.

Cons: No personality. Low-quality presentation. Gets old fast. Little incentive for continued advancement. Bizarre setup and extras.

Gamezebo review:

"Autumn's Treasure: The Jade Coin has everything a great hidden object game needs. It has a plucky heroine, a lost treasure, a trail of clues that leads all over the world, and a nefarious syndicate up to no good. It's even put a nice twist on the item-finding mechanic and thrown in a few puzzles for good measure. So why is it such a tedious, boring chore to play?"

Pros: Relatively unique concept. Some entertaining puzzles.

Cons: Tedious. A bit on the short side. Items can be obscure or hard to find. Harsh penalty for using hints.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

"Magic Match Adventures brings a few new things to the matching arena with the duel, helping the imps, and different rules from a typical matching game. Players have plenty of chances to put strategies to work. If you'd rather have fun and not think too much, it's possible to succeed -- it just may take longer. To paraphrase the opening song, Magic Match and matching game fans will enjoy the Imp World and its great wondrous land. They await you to give them a hand."

Pros: A new tack on Magic Match series. Original mini-game. Great overall production.

Cons: Learning curve. Few useful power-ups. Short.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"To sum it up, Be A King introduces some very interesting new ideas to the genre, sadly not executing them in a convincing way. Despite the attractive graphics and the interesting setting, the game is mostly disappointing. The casual game market may not offer the most complex games out there, but the striking lack of diversion in Be A King is definitely substandard and will leave a lot of gamers bored. "Less is more" might be true in some cases, but more than often less is just not enough."

Pros: Ability to recruit heroes. Convincing quality of graphics and animations. Unexpected game events.

Cons: Campaign levels are very similar and feel repetitive. Small number of buildings. Gameplay lacks variation. Can't call back hero even when he's facing certain death.

"With 50 levels, 15 burger recipes, and plenty of upgrades for the restaurant, Burger Rush is an inspired combination of two popular genres, and it's great fun too."

Pros: Unique combination of restaurant sim and match-three, fun characters and settings, plenty of upgrades, Challenging

Cons: Finicky controls in certain areas

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I've got both Burger Rush and its sequel, Restaurant Rush and they are really fun. It is basically match 3 but with the time pressure of Diner Dash. The combination makes for a much more exciting Bejeweled clone.

Gamezebo review:

"This game should satiate fans of HOGs and adventure games. If you're a fan of the series then you most certainly won't be disappointed in this sequel - and be sure to keep a few extra bucks in your pocket for the fall when the third game in this franchise will be available."

Pros: Challenging hidden object game with adventure game-like elements. Hand-drawn artwork. Many mini-games. Decent story and cut-scene sequences. Can play completed puzzles again, if you like.

Cons: Items always in the same place (hurts replayability). Some item pieces simply too small.

Gamezebo review:

"Secrets of Great Art is a lot like a movie sequel: it's a formulaic yet somewhat entertaining getaway but by no means is it a groundbreaking experience."

Pros: Real artwork adds nice twist. Bonus levels break up game-play. Players unlock more of the story.

Cons: Does not really add anything new to genre. Some tasks are unfair. Only one game mode. Graphics are only so-so.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

"'Something Special' is the last thing that comes to mind when you play this game. It gives the illusion of offering a lot more than it delivers and is not a game that will leave you engaged or wanting more. With 47 levels there is a lot of game for the money but with no mini games, difficult to see objects and music that will annoy after awhile this is not a game I would recommend to hidden object fans as they can find much better games for the money."

Pros: Three difficulty levels with new objects. Upbeat story for all ages. Twelve of the locations are real U.S. tourist attractions with descriptions and artwork.

Cons: Some items blurry and hard to find. No mini-games or puzzles in between levels. Unlimited hints make the game boring. Even though points are awarded you are never given a cumulative score. Repetitive, poorly looped music.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

"Because of its difficulty, Turbo Pizza is perhaps better suited for serious players more than newbies who might prefer a casual, relaxing digital diversion. But on the flipside, veteran gamers might not find new here compared to other Diner Dash-like games. That said, it's multitasking madness, cute story and graphics, and fun mini-games all make Turbo Pizza a very fun and challenging restaurant simulation that's hard to put down."

Pros: A seriously challenging but gratifying game. Can purchase many restaurant upgrades. Mini games a nice touch. Cute graphics and animation.

Cons: Does not really offer anything different new to the genre. Pacing is off (goes from easy to insane). Only one game mode.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars, average player rating: 4.5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Cate West: The Velvet Keys beautifully shows that players should expect more from hidden object games than just a jumble of junk and a shopping list. It's a long, smart, extremely polished game that sets the standard for the genre. Developers should look on Velvet Keys with a mixture of fear and awe, because it's a yardstick by which future hidden object games should be judged."

Pros: Long. Clever, well-designed puzzles. Inventive mini-games. Above average production values. Hidden object searches make sense in the context of the story.

Cons: Plot isn't overly friendly to new players – a synopsis of the first game would have helped.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Good games today! Turbo Pizza is absolutely insane, like Diner Dash on steroids. And Cate West: The Velvet Keys is one of the best hidden object games ever. You can pick up Velvet Keys all week.

If you think Turbo Pizza is fast, you should try the third game in the series, Turbo Fiesta. It makes Turbo Pizza look slow ;)

Gamezebo review:

"Overall, Magic Match: The Genie's Journey is a respectable sequel. It's a shorter game length-wise, but the production values are actually a little better this time around. The menu music still sounds like what you'd encounter at a cheap holiday resort, but the in-game music is actually quite good, and there are some sweet-looking trophies to be collected in the trophy room for achieving various game milestones. And, most importantly, the developers have managed to preserve the quirkiness of the original."

Pros: Solid gameplay; fun spells; original bizarre theme intact

Cons: Shorter length; no reason to replay story mode

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"In terms of being a satisfactory sequel, however, Restaurant Rush does everything right by keeping what made Burger Rush work and taking the gameplay in some fun new directions. Fans can rest assured that Restaurant Rush is more than just a rehashed Burger Rush with a few extra recipes."

Pros: Greatly expanded cuisine and recipes. New gameplay elements and strategies. Fun graphics and new customers. Multiple endings.

Cons: Soup and iced tea clicks don't always take. So much stuff to buy that you won't get to see it all. Sub-goals can interfere with getting Expert.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

There was no review of Poker Superstars III on Gamezebo. However, they did give Poker Superstars II a 4.5 star rating. I've played the game and it is a very good take on Texas Hold'em. It is strictly single player, however. Here is the game's description:

"Are you ready for the next challenge?! Poker Superstars III Gold Chip Challenge raises the stakes with new superstars, new gold chips to win for great plays and a brand new challenge play mode. Poker superstars is the game that is packed with challenge. Be one of the Superstars by importing your photo in to the game! The Superstars are up for the new challenge, are you?"

"All in all, She is a Shadow is just another run of the mill hidden object game - not bad, not great. Besides a somewhat unique premise, there's nothing else that sets this game apart in any way. It's perfectly playable, just not memorable."

Pros: Replayability. Two modes.

Cons: Generic graphics. Blurry, nondescript items. Easy mini-games. Repetitive scenes. Items to steal are sometimes illogical.

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo did not review Tikibar, but the average player rating for the game at that site was only 2.5 stars out of 5.

Here's what one player reviewer said:

"Not particularly challenging and the upgrades are too expensive. On the whole, just a mediocre game, best suited for those just beginning to play the TM genre. I would have given it a 3/5, but the character lines of the customers made me want to scream after the second repetition."

Gamezebo review:

"Wonderland Adventures: Mysteries of Fire Island will likely appeal to puzzle lovers in search of something unique, but it's far from an extraordinary interactive entertainment experience."

Pros: Interesting puzzle concept with many mini-missions. Fun exploratory and collecting component. Good music.

Cons: Only one game mode. Outdated graphics. Character is facing wrong way when enter new area. You can make an irreversible mistake and have to restart older level. Can't zoom out to see environment better.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Hey Otty, I didn't see this mentioned, so I hope it's ok that I add this here.

To celebrate topping 1 billion downloads, Big Fish is putting all of Felix's Favorites on sale for the weekend. (I'd have posted this sooner, but I just found out about it.)
Any of the games on this page are available for $2.99 with the coupon code ONEBILLION. The code is good though July 26th.

I hope people are able to take advantage of this in time. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this thread, Otty!

Gamezebo review:

"Quibbles aside, Cute Knight is a well-crafted RPG that should be commended for focusing on life instead of just combat, and for refusing to fall back on the RPG stereotype of having to fight everything in sight (why can't we all just get along?). Although a relatively short adventure, Cute Knight boasts more than 50 different endings so it's definitely worth playing over and over again. How often can you say that about an RPG?"

Pros: Accessible; Not just hack n' slash; Manageable length; Enormous replay value

Cons: So-so graphics; Tasks can get repetitive

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"All in all, Steve the Sheriff is a fun game to play, and an impressive accomplishment in integrating several different game styles. Both Hidden Object, with the partial object reveals, and Find the Differences deliver real advances in gameplay. It doesn’t feel new, but it does feel fresh, and players who enjoy these genres can settle in for a highly-entertaining mid length game."

Pros: Good mix of hidden object and inventory tasks. Excellent updating of find the differences puzzles. Fun characters. Timed and untimed modes. Good hint system.

Cons: Minor translation errors. A few scenes contain multiple objects that fit the same clues.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

"A couple of twists await and the mystery arouses enough curiosity that you want to know what happens. Mystic Diary exhibits what hidden object fans expect in a solid game: variety of scenes, good story and crisp graphics. While not as magical as some games out there, Mystic Diary: Lost Brother puts on a good show where an hour is enough to decide if you want to stay until the end."

Pros: Challenging finds. Visual effects. Puzzle variety. Decent story.

Cons: Repetitive dialogue. No hints for puzzles. Little audio. Troublesome clicking.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Enlightenus from Blue Tea Games is a creative, richly-textured game that offers an excellent combination of hidden object and adventure in a lighthearted, inspiring story. With 14 hidden object scenes and over a dozen magical rooms to explore, Enlightenus provides challenge without being overwhelming. The only drawback is that freeform exploration that lets you move as you like between rooms can sometimes leave you wondering where to go next."

Pros: Refreshing update to hidden object play, creative and inspirational story, excellent production values.

Cons: Hidden Object scenes reset after each visit, too easy to get stuck in the adventure portion and not know what to do next.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

"Many casual games are leisurely pursuits that help you unwind after a stressful day at the office. Turbo Subs, however, isn't one of them. Although fun and well-produced, Turbo Subs has the same frenetic pacing that made its predecessor, Turbo Pizza, one of the most insanely challenging (and adrenaline-pumpingly energetic) time management games on the market."

Pros: Extremely challenging. New improved twists on Turbo Pizza. Great graphics. Unique locations.

Cons: Tutorial, music and restaurant layout same as first game. Due to intensity, perhaps best-suited to veteran gamers.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Shortly before the release of the title everyone was calling Aveyond 3, developer Amaranth Games announced a change of strategy: Instead of the latest game in the Aveyond series being a sprawling 50-hour role-playing adventure like its two predecessors, it would instead be released as several smaller "episodes" offering about 10 hours of playtime each. The first such episode is Aveyond: Lord of Twilight.

"
Like its predecessors, Aveyond: Lord of Twilight is a casual RPG that offers hours of enjoyment. True, it's not quite long or deep as the first games, but if you're worried about whether you're still getting enough bang for your buck, you can put those worries to rest."

Pros: Great story and dialogue. Charming graphics and music. Three levels of difficulty. Numerous side quests. Community support.

Cons: Very little overworld exploration. World map isn't terribly helpful for navigation. Not as much depth as the first two games.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Click to read the Gamezebo review of Aveyond: Lord Of Twilight

The Aveyond games are very similar to the old SNES Japanese RPGs. Combat is turn-based. The first two were quite long, involved quests. The third has been divided into 3 separate games with Lord Of Twilight. I suspect they did this when pricing on casual games dropped to $7 vs. the old $20. If Big Fish is running this one for $2.99, I suspect the other two chapters of the story will follows shortly.
