Gamezebo review:

"Jewel Quest Mysteries isn’t a bad game – in fact, the many levels and attractive music and graphics make it a relaxing casual game – but with a number of flaws it doesn’t rank as high as more polished hidden object puzzlers."

Pros: Decent hidden object game. Can purchase upgrades. Minigames playable every few levels. Good story, music and graphics. Hidden sweepstakes a nice addition.

Cons: Some technical issues. One minigame type is obscure, confusing. Items are in the same place each time. Not as good as other hidden object games.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.0 stars out of 5

Gamezebo review:

"The Moonstone is a game that offers mystery and twists at every corner, really causing you to think about all the various suspects and motives and become involved in the story. Gameplay-wise there's nothing particularly innovative about this title, but that certainly doesn't make it a bad one. Any mystery enthusiast or hidden object gamer is more than likely to enjoy this clever game."

Pros: Excellent storyline based off the novella. Music brings game alive. Mystery/investigation twist allows for interesting gameplay.

Cons: Not a wide variety of locations. Some objects repeat. No subtitles in interview cutscenes.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.5 stars out of 5

Gamezebo review:

"Those new to hidden object games can dive right in Undiscovered World: The Incan Sun. It works well, it’s not complicated, and it’s easy to find things. Experienced players will most likely tire of the game before the one hour trial runs out."

Pros: Crisp graphics. Great usability.

Cons: Repetitious. Too easy. Not much play on Incan theme.

I couldn't find a review for Druids: Battle Of Magic. I've played it, however, and found it to be on the boring side. It is similar to Big Kahuna Reef and Jewel Match. Here is the full game description:

The recipes to the secret potions that maintain peace and harmony throughout the land are contained within the Book of the Druids. The book was stolen and four ancient druids set off toward the Dark Castle to seek the valuable tome and restore peace to the land. Assist them in their quest by matching three or more Symbols of Power to fill up their magic reserves and unleash their enchantments. They are counting on you to return what is rightfully theirs and stop evil from possessing this ultimate power!

  • Four special power-ups.
  • Two gameplay modes.
  • More than 110 arduous levels.
  • Built-in level editor.
  • Sublime graphics, mystic storyline.

Gamezebo review:

"The actual game parts of Mystery Age: The Imperial Staff are solid, and the art is beyond lovely; the music is even pretty good. If you can either ignore or appreciate the story elements, you'll certainly enjoy helping Eva and Amber on their quest."

Pros: Lush visuals. Multilayered puzzle-solving.

Cons: Offputting storytelling. Distracting clue delivery.

Gamezebo review:

"Since Daycare Nightmare: Mini-Monsters differs little from the original, first-time players to the series should skip the original and go straight to Daycare Nightmare: Mini-Monsters. Players of the original Daycare Nightmare will have to try it and judge whether it's worth more of the same with the few added features. Families should have a monster of a good time with this cute game."

Pros: New monsters and locations. Improved usability. Creative story.

Cons: Not much new since original. Hard to earn upgrades. Grating audio. Missing second mode.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.0 stars out of 5

Gamezebo review:

"Still, despite some minor issues, Hospital Hustle is an interesting time management game that brings plenty of new ideas to the table. While it's not the first hospital-themed time management game to be made (Carrie the Caregiver and Fever Frenzy both come to mind), it's still less common than the glut of restaurant and fashion themed titles available. It's a nice one to check out if you're a fan of the genre."

Pros: Ability to refer patients to other hospitals. Lots of different medical stations, and seven unique hospitals. Good graphics with amusing animations. Good length and moderate challenge.

Cons: Protagonist walks very slowly. Clicks must be precise. Halfway through the game, you must toggle between floors to serve all patients.

Gamezebo review:

"A more coherent story and more innovative mini-games would have helped Mystery Chronicles – A Murder Among Friends to better distinguish itself in an extremely crowded genre. As it stands, it's a good hidden object game but does little to stand out."

Pros: Items make sense in the scene. Variety of mini-games. Great music.

Cons: Hints take too long to recharge. Some items small and hard to see. Items repeat. Plot jumps around.

Gamezebo review:

"If you’ve ever imagined combining Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu universe into a strange tale, then Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is probably the game for you. In a gory mystery/horror plot that sounds more like science fiction than a classic Victorian novel, Holmes and Watson must track down a strange cult before they can resurrect the Cthulhu."

Pros: Excellent character model details, Options for different control schemes and character view points. Easy to find clue objects. Built-in hints system.

Cons: Bland environments. Strange and gory storyline. Slow and stuttered frame rate. Difficult control scheme.

Gamezebo review:

"Ahoy there, casual gamer! If ye enjoy the 'ol match-3 puzzlers you'll want to set sail with Caribbean Pirate Quest, a clever downloadable game that weaves in a treasure hunting component to the core gameplay. Argghhh!"

Pros: Enjoyable 3-in-a-row match game. Adds treasure hunting component, upgrades. Optional timer adds Internet high-score list. Great sound effects and music. Funny.

Cons: Gameplay gets repetitive. Only one game mode.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Gamezebo review:

"Despite the drawbacks this is still a charming title with a wide variety of puzzles. The game may seem short to some due to the fact that hints are so readily available and puzzles may be skipped, but overall it's a good length with a nice pace, and chances are you'd be getting your money's worth out of this title."

Pros: Original and charming story. Large variety of puzzles. Many unique and colorful environments.

Cons: Too easy. Past lives are disproportionate in length and gameplay time. Objects don't always make sense in their settings.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player review: 3.5 out of 5 stars

"When it comes to quality time management games with quirky stories and interesting twists, PlayFirst still is the company to look at. Hotel Dash: Suite Success is as polished as it could be and will meet the expectations of most dash fans. The endless mode somewhat compensates for the easy story mode, so that there is also a challenge for the more experienced players."

Pros: Fast-paced. Two modes. Amazing variety of customer types. Wonderful graphics.

Gamezebo review:

"Mind-blowing the simple excitement isn't, nor will a basic range of play options (including an Adventure and instant action Ala Carte mode) featuring 45 levels with three themed locales wow. But with 80 recipes to unlock, truly hands-on cooking action and activities that feature a greater resemblance to the act of frying, grating and broiling than any seen to date, what's not to love? Real-life inability to slice or dice notwithstanding, you'll still find Hot Dish goes down easy and leaves you feeling satisfyingly full after each frenetic play session."

Pros: Highly interactive challenges. Variety of recipes. Bonus mini-game; Personality. Frantic play. Brings something new to the table.

Cons: More player feedback needed. Background selection. Repetitive speech clips. Could use additional game modes and settings.

"Mystery Case Files: Return to Ravenhearst really is a spectacular achievement. It's not the first game to blend hidden object and adventure gameplay, but it's certainly one of the most polished and challenging. Hats off to Big Fish Games for somehow managing to make an already stellar franchise even better."

Pros: Stellar production values. Clever and challenging puzzles. Creativity. Length. Seamless point-and-click gameplay.

Cons: Some items are too small. Soundtrack is overbearing at times. Snarky comments when you click in the wrong place.

Gamezebo review:

"Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove isn't the huge leap forward that Return to Ravenhearst was in terms of depth and gameplay - in fact, those who have played Return to Ravenhearst will find that a lot about Dire Grove feels familiar. But a fresh new story, original puzzles, and the introduction of video shows that the developers aren't interested in resting on their laurels just yet."

Pros: Convincingly creepy atmosphere. Realistic sound effects. Videos add an interesting new twist. Interesting story and gameplay.

Cons: No subtitles on videos. Music seemed too intrusive at times.

I find it amazing Big Fish is running their premier games back to back in their Daily Deal promotion. Dire Grove is the newest, most advanced Mystery Case Files so far, with theaddition of video clips thoughout the game that give back story, clues and more. Maybe they are getting ready to announce a new MCF game...

Dire Grove is great. The production values are much higher than you usually see in casual games, and it's well worth the $3.

"Eco-Match definitely has a spot in the match-3 gamers collection and has the added benefit of teaching about environmental issues and how to solve them. While the game requires a lot of reading and can at times feel overwhelming, it's also a beautiful game with calming music that always offers something new to learn."

Pros: Fun teaching tool for environmentalists, teachers and parents. Beautiful visual scenes and beautiful music. Three matching modes.

"Your time with Strange Cases: The Tarot Card Mystery, brief though it may be, will be well spent. Gamezebo review:

"Dr. Daisy Pet Vet is a lot of fun, but it's not overly original and there's only one mode to choose from. Also, the different animals keep things fresh, and you'll read about their illness at the start of the level, but all animals are basically treated the same; perhaps it would be fun to have a challenging secondary game mode where what you did for the animal was directly tied to their illness. Minor issues aside, this game is a solid B that's worth downloading for the free trial to see if you like to register to keep fixing your feathered friends."

Pros: Fun spin on waitressing games. Many animals and locations. Can upgrade look for areas.

Cons: Not a unique gameplay concept. Only one game mode. Treatment same for most animals.
