Biggington: 1 Nintendo: 0

This morning, I decided to jump on the Wii for some gaming. I realized I haven't played Zelda in about 4 days now, So I decided to take Wii Sports out and throw in Zelda.

When I was putting Wii Sports away, I looked at the disc and it was incredibly scratched! I was really surprised because usually I never go through something like this, but then I realized why. It was the case!

That piece of shit cardboard case that Wii Sports came in has been scratching my disc! The game still works, but I called up Nintendo right away.

After being on hold for 10 minutes, I finally got ahold of a representative. I told her my situation (of course I exaggerated and made it sound like the game would not read the disc) and then was placed on hold again so she could find out if there was anything she could do for me.

When she got back to the phone she asked me for all my information (address, telephone number) and then put me on hold, AGAIN! I thought I was going to get nothing out of this. The woman didn't sound like she knew anything about this or knew what to do.

Finally a few minutes later she came back and told me that Nintendo will be replacing my Wii Sports! She had an order number for me and that I should be receiving it in 3-8 business days.

Kickass, right? I just checked the order status on Nintendo.com just to double check on it. It says the damn thing is back ordered! Hopefully I wont have to wait because I can see the game not being able to boot up any day now.

Just in case people have been having the same thing happen to them, Nintendo will replace Wii Sports for free! I don't know how long this lasts because I heard that it will be coming out in stores soon, so you might want to get you hands on one while you can.

That's prettyy much the reason I took it out of that cardboard sleeve, put it into a DVD case and tucked the cardboard thing away.

I would buy a case to put it in, but theyre not available yet through the Nintendo website, plus, I DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARD!

on launch i asked the guys at eb if that had any extra display white wii game cases. they did and they gave me one as they were just going to go into the trash. i took out the cars or whatever it was insert and put in the wii sports one made here on these forums. it looks strait up professional!!! no scratches

For those looking for cheap Wii cases: Check your local Target for those penny DVDs they had before launch. I just found four at my local Target.
Not being able to find a wii is driving me crazy now that my component cables have shipped. :D
Tell me about it. I have the cables, an extra controller and zelda. NO WII!
We in Europa get a case for it :)
Yeah, but shouting "Europe! Europe!" is not as cool as shouting "U-S-A! U-S-A!" ... just ask Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Way to cry like a girl about something that isn't even a problem. AND it was your fault obviously since no one else is having the problem. Way to tie up support for such a minor issue. I'm glad you got yer way.

Something I noticed that may be causing the scratches: Notice how when you first opened the sleeve, the staples of the manual were facing the outer edge? Well, did you take it out, and put it in with the staples on the binding side? I noticed that the staples ome dongerously close to the disc that way.
