This morning, I decided to jump on the Wii for some gaming. I realized I haven't played Zelda in about 4 days now, So I decided to take Wii Sports out and throw in Zelda.
When I was putting Wii Sports away, I looked at the disc and it was incredibly scratched! I was really surprised because usually I never go through something like this, but then I realized why. It was the case!
That piece of shit cardboard case that Wii Sports came in has been scratching my disc! The game still works, but I called up Nintendo right away.
After being on hold for 10 minutes, I finally got ahold of a representative. I told her my situation (of course I exaggerated and made it sound like the game would not read the disc) and then was placed on hold again so she could find out if there was anything she could do for me.
When she got back to the phone she asked me for all my information (address, telephone number) and then put me on hold, AGAIN! I thought I was going to get nothing out of this. The woman didn't sound like she knew anything about this or knew what to do.
Finally a few minutes later she came back and told me that Nintendo will be replacing my Wii Sports! She had an order number for me and that I should be receiving it in 3-8 business days.
Kickass, right? I just checked the order status on Nintendo.com just to double check on it. It says the damn thing is back ordered! Hopefully I wont have to wait because I can see the game not being able to boot up any day now.
Just in case people have been having the same thing happen to them, Nintendo will replace Wii Sports for free! I don't know how long this lasts because I heard that it will be coming out in stores soon, so you might want to get you hands on one while you can.
