I know I'm a little behind the times but I just wanted to say I am having a blast working my way through Bioshock 1. I found it hard to start the game (playing on medium) at first because I was always low on ammo and didn't know what to do but I looked at some wrench run videos which gave me some good strategies allowing me to be a lot more effective. Also I realized there was a map so I can tell when I have completely explored an area and it is okay to move onto the next one. Now I always have a good amount of ammo and money so I am able to make it through pretty well.

Just got through fort frolic and it was a blast. My favorite part was
after you post the 3rd picture and he turns out the lights and plays nutcracker music and you fight
also the part
where you flip the switch in the spirit shop to get access to the basement, and let loose the crazy plaster spider splicers that pose like statues and then jump out at you
was pretty creepy. But in a good way.

Now I can finally understand what people are talking about in how the art direction in this game is so great. The enviroments are just so fun to admire and explore. I will be looking forward to cracking open my Bioshock 2 SE when I'm ready to play it :).

I swear nobody can post shit on the net without some smart ass comments over nothing. Oh, I can't wait till someone doesn't use correct punctuation....

See that's what's so great about CAG. Not only do you get great video game deals, it also replicates the XBL chat experience right here in the forums!

I guess I called it retro because bioshock 2 is out. Besides, the art deco style in the game is pretty retro if you ask me.

Just trying to have a video game discussion geez

Actually, I think we would need a bit more swearing in here for that. Better responses:

  • "Whoops, my mistake - I thought I was posting at Cheap Ass Gamer, not Cheap Ass Comedians."
  • "Hey, cool, I didn't know CheapyD merged the forums with 4chan."
  • Embark on an epic tantrum. Not so great for you, but it would be damned hilarious for us.

A highlight for me was getting the Irony achievement purely by accident. I was so used to snapping a pic of every mini-boss for Cohen's wall that after killing Cohen I instinctively switched to the camera and snapped his corpse without even thinking. Heard the achievement bing, saw the words "irony", and realized shortly afterwards what I had done.

Hi,

the game is not even 3 years old, but i love it. Retro is for me very old stuff. Not exactly 3 years old.

Can i ask something about bioshock?

With the research challenge, i missed by the first play 4 items. Do i only need to do the ones i missed, or do i need to do all. Right now i do all, since i am not sure about it.
Also, thats funny, the first time i killed conen but at the game i realized that i need his picture for an achievement. So i went back, but the corpse wasn't there anymore. I hope i can trick the game in saving first and reload again the previous save.

You will need to research everything all over again.
