Big Daddy Figurine Issue

2K Games has identified a small percentage of Big Daddy figurines that have been damaged in transit to US and Canadian retailers. We are in the process of setting up a replacement program to ensure customers who are affected by the damaged figurines are issued replacement figurines as quickly as possible.

Since redemption will not be immediate as replacement figurines are currently beginning production, we will be also sending affected customers a complimentary special printed edition of the BioShock art book, "Breaking the Mold," to enjoy while the replacement figurines are produced and shipped. Additionally, 2K Games will cover all shipping costs for the figurines and art book.

Please check back at this page shortly for details on how to obtain a replacement figurine. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.

Why do I have a feeling the "small percentage" of broken figures will turn into 100% broken figures. I could definitely see people breaking their perfect figures to get a replacement AND the art book. :lol:

The photos are pretty clear (albeit a little small) but you can still read the entire article with little difficulty. Credit for the photos go to diablokiller18 and P0kie but I moved the photos to TinyPic so both of our forums don't kill their bandwith. I would have used thumbnails but I don't know how to with TinyPic (ImageShack is down for me).

I had pretty much anticipated all 9's and 10's for Bioshock due to the dev team's game resume, and this just validates my assumption.

Thanks a lot OP, now I REALLY can't wait for my LionGames preorder!
 
damnit, I only have enough money to get this or madden...son of a bitch. I've been waiting for this game forever so I'll probably have to pick this up. Thanks for the article OP.
 
As I've stated to numerous people, if I didn't have a 360 by the time this was released, I'd have bought one to play it. Looks like I was right in saying that back in early 2006, from that review.
 
That's surprising, since usually, those UK mags and websites ALWAYS underrate games, mainly to make themselves look more critical and to get more attention. I've been saying since BioShock's GI cover debut that it was going to be Game of Whatever Year It's Released, and it looks like it's on its way.
 
Dammit. I hope I get my 360 back in time for the 21st or whenever it drops. The coffin is scheduled to arrive today so I will be shipping it out tomorrow...
 
What genre is Bioshock? I've not followed it at all. ;)

But if it's hitting a week before Metroid, which itself hits when school starts, I'm probably going to have to pass for now.

The developers have been VERY clear on this one: It's a first-person-shooter. Period.

I heard 15-20 hours. But im thinking i can get lots of playability out of it.
 
I really hope the framerate is good.

I started playing Darkness, and really enjoying it at first, then as I got to the sewer levels the framerate got pretty shaky, and I began losing interest in it.

I worried with all the gorgeous graphics, the fps will suffer.
 
LE coming to my door the 21st :). But excellent that the reviews have given some great press to the game. I bet the official boards are practically salivating about this :).

I knew from the moment I saw the first teaser pictures that this game was going to be epic. I wasn't let down. I need to go reserve the limited edition at Gamestop.

Wtf? You get the same game with Madden every year. Its not really a hard choice to pick BioShock over Madden.

Well to get all the achievements you will have to play through twice, at least. So double that estimation. IIRC, there is one for saving ALL of the little sisters and one for harvesting them ALL.

I would put a spoiler tag on the OP. I started reading the first review, and now I've already found out how the protagonist makes his way to rapture. I've been trying to keep myself in the dark for the plot line, so I skipped the rest of the review and just looked at the pictures. I'm already happy with my preorder at Liongames, after seeing these pictures. What was the playtime of the mainquest for Oblivion? I haven't beaten that yet, so I doubt I will have the time to beat this game all the way through.

It's called "Art Deco," and lasted from roughly 1920-1939. I'm not bein' nitpicky, just clarifying. The aesthetics of this game are incredible, I agree.
 
I don't usually pre-order games anymore, but for some reason this game is just giving me good vibes so I put 20 on the LE at gamestop. I only own Oblivion, Gears of War and Viva Pinanta so far for the 360.But Deus Ex invisible war was one of my favorite games for the xbox and from the screens/info this looks to be similar in the / open ended / weapn upgrades/fps hybrid. I've never played System shock ..but if i was a fan of Invisible War should it be safe to assume I will like BioShock? Either way the game looks amazing and I can't wait
 
I am so fucking pumped for this game.

I guarantee my 360 will break in within the week before it's release or within the week after it. It always does.

Sorry to ask this in the 360 thread, but is this a timed exclusive or an exclusive exclusive? I'm PS3-only and I can wait until next year if need be. Any info is greatly appreciated!

MGS4 is almost guaranteed to come to the 360 at some point. MGS2 came to the X-box even though it had a minuscule user base compared to the PS2.

Now they'll have to port it just to make a decent profit given the crappy PS3 sales.
