Post your best deals you got today on black friday! We got home an hour ago and got quite a few things.. for some great prices.

Started @ Walmart. Price matched ads this morning around 4 AM, and left walmart at about 4:10 AM with all items i wanted price matched.. some include:

CoD: WaW (360) - $50
Farcry 2 - $37.99
Boom Blox - $20
De blob - $39
Guitar Hero world tour (wii) w/ guitar - $55!! (one of the best deals)

Then i decided to go by computers plus.. We got 2x 20$ Gift cards for being front in line.. Then to top it off picked up a Dell Inspiron 1526 notebook for $497.. got a free 2GB flash drive with purchase as well! There were probably about 40 people there, and i got there at 4:30 AM and was third in line.. (opened at 6) They had 4 laptops.

And that was pretty much the end (finished it off with a nice breakfest at cracker barrel), got everything i wanted plus a little suprise (the notebook.. didnt plan on buying it.)

So, post your stories, and great deals!

360 Elite, Gears Of War 2, & the replica lancer for $340
& Infinite Undiscovery, RE4 for $30

Seriously.... Besides haven't people learned about the internet yet? I stayed home and got me a laptop off Dell, and all the games I wanted from Amazon. :applause:

Got

Saints Row 2 from Fred Meyer all games 20% off,
2x 2 GB sd cards $7 a piece,
2x Colby digital picture frames $29.99, (Wife got these)
casino Royale 6.50
Toaster Oven $20 from Macy's, used a GC
Sonic Mega Collection ps2 $10
Ace Combat $10

Started at 4:30 AM Target was a mess, Fred Meyer had doughnuts/juice/coffee.
Saints Row 2 was a gift from my wife and the 2 digital picture frames are gifts to her family. The two ps2 games were for a gift basket for the salvation army and the toaster oven was bought on a GC.

Total I spent $40
Wife Spent $110

Hit Target this morning to grab the biggest thing on my list, as I'm working all day till 5 and won't have much of a chance to shop till tonight. Nearly got shanked by a little old lady who was extremely annoyed that I walked in front of her cart she'd parked in front of the DVD section.

Anyhoo, I grabbed :dvd: The Simpsons: S10 for $13.98. First ten seasons of The Simpsons acquired. :)

I didn't feel like buying much, so I went to Radioshack and got a Dualshock PS3 controller for $30, then went to Gamestop for Rock Band 2 with the Volume 2 Track Pack for $63 total. It wasn't too bad of a deal.

woke up at 8 walked over to gamestop (5 minute walk), 4 people were in the store browsing, went up to the counter and got Armored Core For Answer for $20 and that was it for my black friday, i was surprised to see that the gamestop was't as packed as usual.

Last night I grabbed Infinite Undiscovery + Gift and the Blu Wave PS3 Remote from Amazon. $27.90 Shipped.

This morning left the house around 7:00 and went to GameCrazy, bought Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Assassins Creed at $9.99 Each and returned them 40 minutes later to pick up used copies + B2G1F. Ended up with Assassins Creed, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and GRAW 2 for $22.60.

After my first visist to GameCrazy I headed out to Gamestop and picked up Crysis Collectors Edition for $21.54 after tax. Easy morning and installing Crysis now, I am a little worried since Crysis was a gutted copy so anyone could have gotten a hold of the CD Key.

Started @ 3AM for Amazon.com madness

L4D x 2 @ 19.95
Persona 3 w/Soundtrack and Art Book @ 29.95
NCAA Football 09 @ 29.95

Slept until 9am, then bounced out to Best Buy

Assassin's Creed PC @ 9.95

Finally ended up at Circuit City

Dead Rising @ 9.95

I was looking for any Xbox systems with the Jasper Serial #, but luck wasn't on my side.

God damn, Walmart was SWAMPED seriously I arrived at 4:35 and the line was about 1000 deep. It wrapped around the store and the entire street was blocked off. Then at the very front of the store there was about another 200 or so. I said NO WAY and then I went to Target, the line was large but not that large. Most of the people were waiting in the front and were going to try and rush in when the doors opened but the cops blocked it off and told the people not in line that they have to wait. The line eventually got damn large at target wrapping around the back But I was near the front. Thankfully I did not have to kick any canes out to score copies of the games and DVDs as they had more than plenty. Some arsehole though it was funny to stick Gears 2 in front of the copies of Dead Space and rip the tag out. Everyone was pissed until I knew something was funny and started checking behind the games.

I got a stack of DVDs most x3

Gain Laundry soap was like 6 bucks for the HUGE box. Got several of those.

Dead Space x3

BIA:HH x3

BURNOUT PARADISE x3

Teenage Zombies x3

and a few SD cards for CHEAP.

After that we went to Gamestop for the 20$ Armored Core x3 and we also got 3 copies of the Arcade unplugged disk.

After that, straight to Gamecrazy for the last 2 copies of Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The guy working the counter said that they sold about 33 copies of The Darkness within the hour and they also got rid of EVERY cake mania.

Also, I was turning the corner in the games aisle some lady smashed her chest into my face. Then it happened AGAIN with the SAME LADY when I was trying to grab a Transformers DVD. At least the blow was cushioned @_@

Woke up at 5:30, drove to Office Depot with my bro. Store opens at 6 but there was already a long line of people there (had to be at least 150). At 6 they started to let people in but only 20 people in the store at a time so we had to wait in the cold for another hour before we were able to get in.

While we were in line, this one guy started walking around asking if anyone wanted tickets for some doorbuster items (I think it was a laptop and a hard drive). Sold them each for $50 and left. Before I got into the store, the store manager came out and asked if anyone had any doorbuster coupons. One dude said he bought them from the scalper and the store manager told him that he was sorry but he was duped. The tickets were already handed out a long time ago and the ticket that he had was a black and white copy of the real ticket.

Stood in line for about another hour but I was able to come out with:

-Three 16gb flashdrives ($30 each)
-500gb portable HD ($129)

Got out at about 8, drove over to Gamecrazy. They already sold out of Vegas 2 so I picked up Brothers in Arms and TNA Impact ($20 each). When the guy was ringing it up, he said that TNA was $40. I showed him the BF ad where it said $20 and he said that was only for used copies. So I told him I wanted the used one then and he looked around and couldnt find it. Said fuck it and just gave me the new copy for $20.

Drove over to Target and picked up the last copy of Dead Space for $30.

Not a bad haul, I'll never go back to Office Depot again during BF though.

i stayed up for the midnight amazon deals, i missed the xbox glitch but still got

the batman lego ps2 bundle 99.99
persona 3 bundle 29.99
god of war 2 $9.99
memory card 2 pack 14.99
blue controller 9.99

the sheild s6 for 15.99
i will try for the katamari damacy for 9.99 lightning deal at 1pm today, its 15, i probably should just get it for that in case it runs out.

from bestbuy.com

futurama 2,3,4 for 14.99 each
digital photo frame for 49.99
a bluetooth for 19.99

the photo frame was for my mom, the rest was all things that i wanted, but didnt want to pay full or regular sale price and some of that NEVER goes on sale it seems. i was a little bummed the singstar bundle was not 99.99, i think it was last year or 2 years ago.

i will probably check target and macys for clothing.
:wii: Okami ($15)
:ps2: Katamari Damacy ($5) - Lightning Deal in a few hours
i thought the katamari damacy was going to be 10 dollars in a few hours?

I did all my shopping online, bought the entire West Wing series for $74.99 from Amazon, one of the $0.02 PC games from Stootsi and Wonderworld Amusement Park for $14.99 for the Wii from TRU (I know it is horrible but I am planning to play it and then sell it).

I didn't see anything that great in any of the ads and I have a huge backlog of clearance games to work on so $20 and $30 games didn't seem that appealing to me.

Got Endwar (360) @ BB, saw they were out of Farcry 2, went to walmart and that priced matched. Yeah, boring, but I'm gonna pick up MC:LA (360) on Sunday when it's $39.99.

btw, just an observation. BB employees for the lines were outside, keeping everyone in check, calm, etc. Walmart employees were all huddeled inside as if the apocolypse was coming. I know walmart's crowd is worse, but talk about inept management.

i stayed up late looking to grab a deal from TRU online with the $25 off, but no luck!! those bitches..

i did manage to snag these

amazon order 1: mario red ds bundle $134 = $146 tax w/ sh
amazon order 2: mgs ps2 bundle $14.99, cooking mama cook off wii $14.99
amazon order 3: mgs ps2 bundle $14.99 (couldnt order 2 at a time), big brain academy wii $19.99

circuit city online: dead rising $10, okami wii $19.99, rock band drums 360 $29.99 (pick up only)

i really wish amazon honored my vote for the $200 ps3, that was a bummer.

EDIT:

live.com 30% off deal + 10% stackable ebay coupon: x2 360 controllers for $30 after the discounts!!

im fucking broke.please stop posting any more deals!

I got all my Black Friday shopping done online Wednesday night by 11:30pm.

Three orders from three stores totaling about $70. That's the lowest amount of money I've ever spent on Black Friday.

Not much for me.

Transformers Blu-Ray $9.99
Superbad Blu-Ray $16.99

Resident Evil 4 $9.99

I got what I was looking for (RE4), so I'm a happy camper. :D

Currently its the 360 Arcade Bundle with DDR for a total of $130 shipped, and i want to thank CAG for all the info and input concerning this and so many of the deals this past month. I went from being a likely ps3 owner to a definite 360 owner. From watching threads ive pretty much concurred that the 360 is the system that the best deals are being offered for up till now. No matter how good a deal is available for the ps3 through the remainder of the year, the 360 will be my system for 08! Now for a steal on a HD and im gtg!!! Thanks again!!!:bouncy:

Ive been thinking of buying Shaun White Snowboarding for 360 and a few other things for xbox, so i went to BB at 5:00, to find at least a 200 person line. I said hell with that, came home and ordered this.

Free shipping, grand total $25.91.
Found it suprising how SW:S is $60 in stores, and i snagged it for 20.

All i got, and im happy.

I got Dead Rising for $10 from NewEgg. I also used Microsoft Cashback to get a brand new Gateway 6862 for $550. I was planning on using the HP deal, but that's more or less dead.

I decided not to go out to the stores this year, but I did get Personal Trainer: Cooking for $9.95 on amazon.

I had been one of the overnight campers the past 3yrs in BB but there was just nothing out there that screamed "great f'n deal" to make me do it again this year.

I went out about 7am and hit walmart and price matched the Target ad for the Sex and the City sets for my mom for xmas.

The only thing I really wanted was Reno 911 the movie and CC was out.

Listened to the live chat, gave up around 3:30am, fell asleep, got up around 9:30, went to bb at 11..picked up AC, The Die Hard Collection and AVP:R on BR, went to TRU, used one of my 10 dollar gift cards and picked up a wired controller for GH3 (for my brother), ate some Chinese food (S&SC), went to microcenter, said fuck that to the lines just trying to enter the HD area went home , watched some netflix and fell asleep.

That was my black friday.

I decided to pick up only 2-4 DVD's, but I picked up a massive stack of penny guides from Best Buy and one from Gamestop.

I picked up(online yesterday):

Sex & The City: The movie(for the gf for Christmas)$13.76 shipped
Venture Brothers: Season One + Two(backordered from CC, but hopefully they'll honor it)$16.94 shipped

I picked up in store today:

Superbad(DVD):$5.99 in cheap Blockbuster credit

I also picked up 5-6x Rainbow Six Vegas, 3-4 Pokemon Travelers Of Time + Darkness and one Soul Calibur IV LE from GS.

I got Venture Brothers Season 1+2 for 13 from Circuit city online.
Also got Seasons 1-4 of South Park for $10 each from Circuit City B&M.
Bar store in the mall had everything half off so I got 4 Guinness glasses for $10 and a poster for $7.
Not terribly much but I'm very happy with my haul.

Sick part is, I completely forgot to check my one local CC I went to today for the Venture Brothers 1+2 season pack, though I'm sure they sold out early this morning.

I just hope they honor the order I made online for the price it was listed as.

I always go to the Black Friday sales in my town, not because I need anything particularly badly but because it's fun, I get a bunch of cheap DVDs and random stuff, and I laugh at all the people.

With that said, I made out like a bandit this year.

From amazon...

 • Animal Crossing: City Folk bundle with Wii Speak ($40) - and I had already bought it from Target for 50! Luckily I had left it sealed.
 • Personal Trainer: Cooking ($10) - I am always interested in Touch Generations games, so sue me... figured this crazy innovative recipe book would be worth a look for that cheap
 • Resistance: Fall of Man ($15) - I was late to the party on this but couldn't say no to such a great price

From Target...

 • Dead Space (PS3 - $30!)
 • some random DVDs including the holiday classic Christmas Vacation ($6!)
From Kmart...

 • A 2GB SD memory card for my Wii ($7)
From Walmart...

 • No games but ridiculous amounts of cheap DVDs, including (game related) Hitman for $6!
There's so much more I wanted but I already have a huge backlog. I spoiled myself in lieu of other people today... oops

Well this Black Friday was a great one and we had a lot of fun!

With that said: (datura I'm stealing your style of post :p)

From the Mall...
- Got a bunch of stuff from the Disney Store (I'm a huge Disney fan). We got some ornaments, a mickey wreath, and I got some shirts.

From Walmart...
- Price matched Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Bundle for Wii (from Target, $59)

From Toysrus...
- Nothing. Mom and sisters wanted to go here.

From Circuit City...
- 8 GB SD Card
- Dead Rising

From Target...
- Rain Check for Western Digital 750 GB External Hard Drive
- Rain Check for Dead Space

From Amazon...
- Wario Land Shake It!
- NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams
- Cooking Mama: Cook Off (For Sisters)

Overall, absolutely amazing Black Friday. We had so much fun going out at 3 AM and shopping until we got home and crashed in our beds.

Thanks CAG!

I made no real effort for anything this year. All the Blu-Ray titles I wanted I was able to nab from Deep Discount or DVD Planet during the 25% off sale, and I had a ton of store credit at DVD Planet to boot.

I contemplated buying some games from Amazon in the wee hours of Black Friday, but decided against it. It's funny to see all the people bitching in the Amazon thread about stuff they couldn't get, yet I had the opportunity to get them but declined.

So really, all I got for Black Friday was Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for $10 at GameCrazy.

Now I'm contemplating what I want to get from buy.com via ebay via Live Cashback for the 30% off, free shipping, no tax.

I got the Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle + Refurb 20GB HD & Wireless Controller from CC and Dead Rising and No More Heroes from newegg, all from the comfort of... well, this chair I'm sitting in right now (which isn't all that comfortable to be honest). The only thing I left the house for today was to cut a Christmas tree.

From Amazon:

All in all it was decent indeed, now for the real Christmas Shopping, lol

This year's Black Friday was kind of disappointing, wasn't any good games on sale but I ended up picking up...

Pretty good Black Friday for me. This is the first Christmas I had an HDTV, 360 and PS3 to go along with my Wii, so I had more options (both gaming and movie wise) this year.

Started out at 6:30...

The first part of my day was not so productive. First went to two Wal-Marts and both were out of NBA Live 09. Bummer! Then went to a local mall and wanted to use a Radioshack Entertainment book $10 off coupon...but their game section had been reduced since last time I was there. So no LittleBigPlanet. Had to get that at Gamestop. Grumble Grumble. Then went to Target to pick up One Tree Hill seasons 4 and 5, but they were sold out there too. So far, not so good...

Thankfully a trip to Best Buy redeemed my Black Friday experience. Managed to pick up (all for 16.99
:br: I Am Legend
:br: Cloverfield
:br: Prom Night

Not bad. Headed to Circuit City and got (for $10 each)
:360: NFL Tour
:360: Tetris Evolution

Stopped at another Target, got helped by two very nice ladies that got me rainchecks for the OTH sets. Surprising, because usually Target employees are clueless (and I was one of them, once upon a time!) While I was there, picked up:
:ps3: NBA 2K9 - $39

Finally arrived home about 1:00, got on Amazon and ordered :360: NBA Live 2009 for $29.99 which the Walmart visits did not produce.

All in all, a very productive Black Friday for me. Saved a ton of money on stuff I wanted, and only spent ~ $180 total. Took some wandering and I'm dead tired now, but well worth it.

CAG definitely aided me in my search!

Didn't feel like lining up at all this year for BF. So I decided to just head over to the stores at around 10am to try my luck; and to my surprise I got almost everything I wanted!

Walmart:
•8" Portable DVD player - $49
Office Depot:
•4gb mspro duo memory card - $14.99
Best Buy:
•Smallville Season 1 - $14.99
•Family Guy Season 5 - $14.99
•Kung Fu Panda Blu-ray - $16.99 (surprised when I found this, seems like somone was trying to hide it)
Target:
•Dead Space - $30

The only thing I missed out on was the Radioshack sale for the DS3 controllers for $30. I know I could've priced matched it at Walmart, but I totally forgot at the time >.< Oh well, overall good BF day for me.

Nothing that I absolutely had to have this year so I decided to sleep in and hit the stores around 11.

1. Target - Got Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and some GI Joes.

2. Walmart - Got Over the Top for 2 bucks! Nothing else that I wanted. Grabbed some snacks then went to checkout.

3. Fry's - Total bust. Traffic going in & out was a complete disaster though parking was surprisingly plentiful. Just wanted a laptop cooler and some DVD-R's, but they were sold out.

4. Best Buy - Bought Doomsday and Run Fatboy Run for $9.99. Also got Across the Universe, Charlie Wilson's War, Last King of Scotland, and War for $4.99.

And that was my shopping day.

did all my shopping on amazon yesterday. got shield s1-6 and supernatural s3 blu ray for $22 (best buy)

was at the mall tonight and got some clothes but thats about it. got a nice alfani jacket for $90

My mom, sister and I decided to pool funds together and get my dad an HDTV for his office since he spends a lot of time up there and watches most of the Phillies games there during the season. I wasn't dead-set on getting one -- I just wanted to get one if it was available, and at a good price. So, I went to Walmart (arrive around 6am) looking for either the Samsung and Sony Bravia 32" LCD for $498. By that time, they were all sold out, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people were asking about if before me, too. So I just walked down to circuit city (next door) to check for the hell of it, and found the Bravia for $499 (there were about 9 of them available).

With how many people appeared to be looking for that deal in Walmart, I'm surprised that any were still available at a store that was right next door. Oh well, it worked out pretty well for me, assuming that it isn't broken (knock on wood).

This was my first time ever going out for a black friday deal, and it was certainly an experience. It was kind of amusing seeing that many people scrounging around, but I have a feeling that the amusement would have worn off pretty quickly had I spent another 20 minutes out there. I might try going out for BF again sometimes in the next 24 years. Maybe.

I headed to BB first to score Wonder World Amusement Park because they advertised limited copies. After waiting in line for an hour I was in and out with my copy. Next headed next door to Target in the hopes of scoring Boom Blox for $20, but the line was a little long and I still wanted to hit CC. So I went to CC and waited 30 minutes to be funneled in by groups of ten to score a copy of SMB:BB for $10, but missed the last copy by minutes. I saw the last copy in the hands of a lady in the electronics checkout line. By this time it was a little after six so I headed back to Target, but no luck finding it. Ended up leaving immediately due to no organization and probably the rudest customer base of any Black Friday before. I was surprised to see the 120 GB HD still in the case at Target. Hopefully it survives by next week for a possible drop. After Target I decided to go to what I now deem Hell-Mart on this holiday we call BF to pick up some gifts for my wife and possibly price match Boom Blox, SMB:BB and DS3 controller. However, this trip did not last long due to Wal-Marts incompetence at management. Sure it's great to see that you have workers at every register to serve the projected crowds. However, it would be smart to have more CSM or whoever price overrides on hand in order to push the lines through a litte quicker. After another strike I headed to Gamecrazy where I scored 2 copies of RB6V2 and then I headed to Sam's Club for their annual free breakfast. Grabbed my breakfast and picked up kitty litter then headed back to my wife's friends house to meet up with her. I ended up falling asleep while visiting with her friend's family and husband who had just returned back from Afghanistan. Ended up waking up at around 2:30 and leaving their house at around 4. On the way home I stopped by my local Wal-Mart with no luck, but my wife suggested we go to the Wal-Mart in Oak Grove, KY. Good thing I did this because I ended up scoring Boom Blox and my DS3 controller. Now all I have to do is hope Game Crazy price matches and I can score SMB: BB later today. Though I will continue to go out on Black Friday until one of us dies, this by far was the weakest/crappiest in my 10 years of participating. So in the end I ended up with:

- Boom Blox
- Wonder Amusement Park
- RB6V2 x 2 (one for my buddy spectreon)
- DS3 Controller

Not too bad seeing as how I was shopping for myself.
