If we could order online these prices.. why would we go to the stores at 3am waiting for them to open..?
Well, I ordered from BB online for a black friday once, but it was like 2 years ago. I was very excited because it meant not leaving my house at 3 AM, and it went into effect at midnight I believe. I'm realllly hoping it's available online for at least BB and CC, but I'm betting not.

Keep in mind that a lot of these deals will also be online with free shipping. Circuit City usually puts their BF ads online...Best Buy puts a lot of stuff online as well.

Is it ever possible to find Fry's ad before it gets in the newspaper the day the things are on sale? They usually come at 6am but I'll already be going to stores so I wouldn't know what deals will be on Fry's.
Keep in mind that a lot of these deals will also be online with free shipping. Circuit City usually puts their BF ads online...Best Buy puts a lot of stuff online as well.
Yep, this is why I haven't decided on whether I should go out to these stores on Friday because chances are they will have it on their website. Guess we'll find out in a couple of days when these stores start showing their sales.

in the past BB would post the same dvd prices on their online site. not for all of the other crazy shit in their ad, but the dvds were definitely on the web.
in the past BB would post the same dvd prices on their online site. not for all of the other crazy shit in their ad, but the dvds were definitely on the web.
For me, the only part that matters.

I realllly want Target to do theirs online, but I doubt they will. Is Target still shipping movies through Amazon? Cause then they definitly won't... unless Amazon has some kickass prices on what I want (Offices' and Houses and SMG for Wii).

I picked up The Office Seasons 1 & 2 and South Park Season 10 at Target today just to be safe. I plan on cruising by there sometime Friday afternoon for a price adjustment once the madness has settled down.
Well, darn. It really does seem to be Stargate SG-1 and not Battlestar Galactica.
To me for SG1, thats not really a deal, as I keep seeing seasons 1-5 for 20 at wally world. In fact, watching the first seasons now

So nobody is taking advantage of early sales online?
I've picked up House Season 2 and Office Season 2 from BB ($15 each), Office Season 1 from Amazon ($10.99), and House Season 1 and 2 from Buy.com ($16 each; my friend wanted house as well but every site is limiting it to one copy. I'll have to get a second Season 1 someplace else since it's not available anywhere online at a decent price... maybe I'll risk J&R.)
Circuit City really is dropping the ball though; I was ready to buy Office S1 & 2 from them, and House S2, all at better prices... but for a few dollars more I went with other sites since I mainly want SMG Wii from CC.

Best Buy has their HBO 50% off stuff online already. I'm grabbing Sex and the City comeplete boxset for the gf for $100!

Wait wait wait. Is it SG-1 or BSG? Can we get some final word on this? I already have the first 9 seasons of SG-1, but BSG at that price... DAYUM! It's like the one thing I want to get more than anything on Friday-- that's just a steal.

Also-- why aren't the PSP UMD movies from GS/EB for $4 on here? I'm gonna grab a couple so I have something to watch when I'm bored of playing. Steamboy, FF Advent Children, Kung-Fu Hustle... heck yeah!

I'll probably also pick up a new ProDuo 2 gig for my PSP.

It's Stargate SG-1. You can check the official ad at CC's website.

The UMD's were mentioned in the Video Game Deals Black Friday thread.

Well, looks like Amazon is beating everyone House and Office, and I was too damn impatient. Trying to cancel orders now, but eh... best buy is taking forever.

CC is finally up though; picked up SMG for $35 and Red Steel for $10. Nice.

Sorry mi compadre, but the site is only listing thursday specials. When I searched for SG-1, I found the season, but at full price. The only thing SG-1 under 20 is a soundtrack for $13. Gonna need some help on this.

Second-- why are movies for the PSP listed under VG deals? They're movies. It matters not that they are played in a system designed for gaming-- its still a multimedia device, and as such they should be given the same respect as any other video format, and placed here in the DVD BF section where it's more appropriate.

The UMDs were mentioned in the other thread because the ad was posted there.

Well, some semi-good news for me!
I was initially way too impatient and bought everything all over the place. I wanted both Offices and Houses, and needed an extra set of Houses for a friend that is online illiterate. Amazon dropped Office s1 early to $11, so I bit when I bought my mom the new Dylan 3 Disc CD. I wanted House from CC, but they took forever, so I bought:
House S1 from buy.com and Jr.com
House S2 from buy.com and BB
Office S2 from BB

Well, BB is way too quick in processing so I have to return the package to the store once it arrives to get refunded, but I was able to cancel buy.com and jr.com, and placed an order for 2 of the Houses and the second Office at Amazon. Free ship+no tax+lowest price FTW!
do u know if u can get CC prices at target because i'm looking to get king of queens seasons 1-8
I don't know if it's worth fighting through a Target crowd. Hell, I hate going in there on weekends any other week-- now imagine having to wait in line at the service counter on BF to price match. Bring a lunch is all I can say.

I grabbed South Park Season 7 from BB.com. I really wanted 7-10, but 8-10 were OOS when I looked, and I don't want to go out tomorrow.

I also wanted Spongebob season 4, but it turns out it's in two volumes, and I hate that shit, so I won't be buying that. I guess I'll have to wait for another sale on South Park.

I went to Buy.com, and grabbed a few DVDs. Honestly, its probably your best bet because you get free shipping over orders of $25, and you get $10 off with google checkout. Not a bad deal. Picked up King Kong, 300, The Departed, V for Vendetta, Knocked Up, Children of Men, LA Confidential, and Crash for $57.

Explain what "Google checkout" is for the uninitiated?
Explain what "Google checkout" is for the uninitiated?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Checkout

http://www.buy.com/corp/promos/google_offer.asp

It's hard to explain, it's basically another way to make online purchases. Perfectly legal, you use google checkout (instead of Buy.com's checkout) and you get $10 off your order (1 time only).

Hope that makes sense, the two links I gave provide a much better explanation than mine.

Christ, I hate navigating CC's online store. It's actually gotten worse to find something, especially when it comes to 24. They should just have a DVD department on the site, instead of burying it in the "Home entertainment" section. Also, the 24 sets are apparently "on backorder" except for season 3 and the original season 1 box (before redesign), even though they were $50 apiece-- clicking on adding anything to your cart gets a message that they're "updating the page". S'been like that for 2 hours now.

I hope their box sets are available online-- thus far I've been very lucky to find everything else I want at other chains is online, and thusly have prevented any B&M visits. Though I am still wondering about this would-be/probably-isn't rumor about the Kohl's PS3 60 gig....

Got back from Wal-Mart and got a few of the $2.96 titles.

Here is what I remember that they had at that price.

In Good Company (FS Only)
Alexander: Director's Cut (FS Only)
Bad Boys: Special Edition
The Fifth Element: Ultimate Edition
Zathura
The Long Kiss Goodnight
Miami Vice: Unrated
Fast and the Furious: Tricked Out Edition
Austin Powers 1 & 2
Spider-Man

Just got back from Circuit City's black friday sale. I went to get the James Bond Ultimate Collection Vol 1 that was in their ad for $18.99. When I got there they also actually had volumes 2, 3, and 4 also for the same black friday sales price of $18.99! This is a helluva deal. Each of these box sets normally sell for about $55-$75 each. I went ahead and bought all 4 volumes at only $18.99 each. This deal seems to be online too! go now before they are backordered.

My local Hastings had a BUNCH of TV seasons on sale.

We thought they had Scrubs on sale as well (S. 1-5), since we were among the first in there, and they were sitting on a rack marked 15.99. Not like randomly, but in a row, from 1 to 5, with several of each season. We get up to the register and they don't ring up right. The manager looks over at the rack, and was like "Well, they're not over there, so I can't confirm that they're part of the sale." Ummm, DUH, because everyone grabbed them. Shouldn't you have a list? Shouldn't someone have NOT put them there if they WEREN'T on sale?

So I put them back and a few others that I didn't really need that bad, and said screw 'em, they wanna be bitches, I ain't gonna get as much. Fudge 'em.

just got back from best buy

I got all 3 seasons of house for 14.99 each. At first, only season 2 rang up for the sale price, but i showed them the ad saying it said ALL SEASONs. the lady was trying to confirm with someone else but basically said screw it, and just gave me all 3 seasons for 14.99.

so even though the ad probably meant for just the seasons of South park and rescue me, you guys can ask and try to see if it'll apply to all the shows on the ad.

Same here. I was just about to post that. Being nice/polite when asking helps too :)

I wish they had another copy of House: Season 3 at my local BB. I wanted to get one for my girlfriend (who picked up Seasons 1+2 today).

Went to Target around 1 PST... if this is an example of your average Target crowd on BF, I cannot recommend enough going now. Lines were non-existent, DVD's were well-stocked (though xmas staples like Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation are actually running out), and I nabbed each for 6, Goonies for 4, and two Season 5 24's @ $15 apiece (lowest anywhere, even DD). One for a friend, one for me in case my family doesn't nab one for me.
Target's smart-- they overstocked on DVD's.

Oh, and a Eureka bagless HEPA vacuum, for $69, down from 120. My roommate does a really crappy job of cleaning her cat's hair up. :p

Oh ho! But there is a catch my friend when you live in Illinois or California as I do in both: State sales tax.
Which means Amazon would save me a grand total of 2 cents for both sets. #-o

Still, for anyone else, absolutely! Go for it! Stick it to the G-man! :p

some of the fry's deals are on outpost.com

i know la femme nikita seasons 1-5 all are $14.99 at outpost.com anyways. dunno how long that will last

edit:

oh and i got from best buy:

rome s2 with cork pull(this was the bonus they had from the week it was released) $42
sopranos s6 part 2 $42
The extras s1 and 2$13.50 each
smallville s3 and 5 $14.99 each

carnivalle s1 and s2 $19.99 each-- funny story here, i told the cashier that they were $19.99 on the website and asked if they would pricematch their website, the cashier said she would get a manager to confirm the price, but there werent any around so she did it with no hassle or checking the price online, i remember in another thread that guys had to appeal to get them to honor their policy of pricematching their website(it is sold out online, but still says $19.99) i was glad to get the dvd with no hassle for $19.99, but in retrospect i could have easily lied about the price like, $14.99 or whatever, but like i said, $19.99 with no hassle is a good enough
