Even then, I have only gone out to the stores once on a BF. It simply isn't worth it, in my opinion. I did get a lot of good stuff from Amazon and GameStop.com, though, this past one.

The last BF was lackluster in my opinion no major deals/reduction in prices for any of the major systems and NO good bundles for ps3/xbox 360 during it either which disappoints me. A few good video game prices but other than that not much. I think this year will be more deals in order to try to bring back more sales.

Black Friday has been horrible. Even stuff that I thought were deals could be had for much less elsewhere. I ordered Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii for $19.99 on Black Friday from Best Buy. They cancelled it and got it for $10.99 at Costco.

Or the Circuit City 33% clearance going on now, those prices are amazing and I didn't have to get up early, or fight crowds to get in on that deal.

Last year I ordered my BF stuff online and that worked out for me. That was the only time I shopped at bestbuy.com ever, was for the WD hard drive. I ordered early and got mine without crowds. I wouldn't even bother fighting the crowds for BF, its not worth it anymore, and the chances are that you will get what you are after is very slim.

All I'm going to say is that I find enough cheap deals throughout the year with me being a member of at least 2-3 deal sites(CAG,SD,etc), so I don't need to go out and bang heads with all of the normal idiots who think those 'deals' on BF are phenomenal.

Matter of fact, when I DID go out last BF to pick up a movie(which I still haven't watched) and some other stuff, I spent maybe $1.50 of my own money, while the rest of it was from gift cards that stores sent me for shorting me on other deals(the .00 guides a long while back and the free copy of the original Transformers animated movie when you bought the live action movie game from FYE).

So yeah, I definitely made out like a bandit last year, though even at 1pm or so, it was STILL hell-ish to get out of a store within 20 minutes.

I had the best experience this last BF... went to target to pick up the Olevia tv and a couple dvd sets... they handed out tickets for the tvs so I was set there eve n before the store opened. Picked up the tv, got my dvds... and was the forst person checked out in the line I went to... they were still letting people in when I carted out of the store. Store opened at 6, I was home at about 6:20

Yea BF was totally gay last year! Like buy Bioshock 360 and receive a free handjob......FROM A DUDE! They were all out at Best Buy and I've still got my free HJ Voucher in my wallet. I am saving for a really "rainy day", if you catch my drift.
But as far as BF2k8 I tend to not get excited for unknown deals that are almost a full human being's gestation period away.

I've never been motivated to fight crowds of idiots on Black Friday much less get up early and wait out in the cold. I can somewhat see doing that if you really want the $299 laptop or other fairly big-ticket item. What happens if all you want is a $5 game? Get up a 2AM and sit in the cold all night and hope that they have more than 5 copies in stock at that price?

Most stores put up their online BF inventory midnight but it's midnight at whatever time zone their main headquarters are in (so if their main headquarters is in California, it's midnight pacific time). And online deals are usually exactly the same as in store except some stores have doorbusters which aren't always available online but then again, some retailers only have specials online and not in store.

Most of the really, really, really good deals you see in your local ads will be in-store only. They want to drag you into the store, so when you realize the good stuff sold out at 5:01, you will buy something else, to compensate for the trip you made.

Still, there are some good deals to be had online, especially through companies that ONLY do business online. Personally, this past BF, I got in on some of Amazon's nice deals, like the Rainbow Six Vegas 360 LE and 360 SIXAXIS for $20 a piece.
