Would be nice to see. Last year they were pretty good, but I got an even better deal last year around Super Bowl time. I got a 40" 120hz Samsung 850 for $200 less then the BF price I had seen.

Call Of Duty series usually likes to go on sale during the New Years sale. I know every I have so far gotten Modern Warfare and World at War for 40 bucks come New Years sales. Looks like I'll be sleeping in as well. Nothing worth it at all this year.

I'm surprised at the complete lack of excitement for all the new games that will be $40 at various places. This site goes NUTS for b2g1 at Best Buy and such a few weeks back, and three $60 games at that ends up being $40 a piece, and most of the people that take advantage of b2g1 seem to get newly released games; now on Black Friday you can pick up a ton of those new games for $40 without having to bother finding two other games to pair with them.

I actually took back all the stuff I got at Best Buy b2g1 a while back before I even knew what would be available on BF; suddenly I realized that out of the 6 games I got, I really only wanted 3 of them or so, and only grabbed the others to fill out the deal and because they were new and shiny. If not for the sale on ODST at Amazon, I would be more than happy to grab it on BF for $40, and I will likely grab Arkham Asylum at Target. Returned $260 worth of stuff, and could get two of the three I really wanted anyway for barely above $80.

Nothing worth staying up all night for or anything, but I've never had trouble showing up late in the day and finding all the video game deals I wanted, anyway.

I think people went nuts when BB had b2g1 because of a glitch that made the first game scanned free, instead of the lowest of the three.

It was the glitch that made a random slot game free and not the lowest price game that was the buzz in the B2G1 thread.

Edit: quoted wrong person. Monroeski. Yea, it's basically the same price or less if you want less then 3 games. But for the B2G1. I didn't have to get up at 3am and fight with the crowds. I've been to BB 2 black fridays. the first I did the 5am and got the games I wanted but wasted 1 hour in checkout line. The next one I went at 7am and didn't get any games. So I risk a sell out. Not likely on B2G1, but most likely during BF.

I saw 1 used copy for each system at 2 of the local gamestops aruond my area. One had it for 54 and one had it for 49 which is odd having 2 different prices with stores 10 miles apart. Sadly the 360 copy has seen better days and I would not want to pick it up.

I've been able to order stuff at midnight from BestBuy.com in the past, though $2/item shipping can kill the $15 deals pretty quickly, and I'm fairly certain in-store pickup wasn't available (one can imagine why). I'm hoping Amazon matches those so I don't have to worry about it.

Last year Costco has a few online deals and in store deals. They have in the years past done coupons for BF. I got this years. I don't seem to remember anything game related.

Amazon early in the morning. Gotta burn my 40 dollar game credit. Hopefully that will provide me with some good deals, but hey, its Amazon. Not worried.

Small city about 15 miles away has a Hollywood video and Walmart. Getting in on the $30 and under for $5 deal at HWV when they open, and Walmart for NBA 2K10 / UFC Undisputed for 25 each with any money I have left over.

Going to check out Ebgames as well, might buy a broken 360 from a friend for 20 bucks, trade it in for 60 and walk away with a DS lite.

Its shaping up to be a good black Friday.

Personally I struggle with not buying PS3 game deals (MGS4, KZ2) when I don't own a PS3.

Anyway, was just listening to CNN talking head saying retailers are much better positioned this year, not caught with a lot of inventory like when the downturn hit in late September last year - so can expect BF deals to be tepid. Seems in line with what I'm seeing in this thread so far.

I will miss the potentially awesome go-kart tracks made of GH and RB boxes that Best Buy had set up last year, though.

hey i have a question, if i buy the ps3 from walmart right now and go on black friday to do the swap trick( return /rebuy) u think theyll give me the games? technically theres nothing wrong with doing that but i do know some stores dont do returns on that day like i think circuitcity wasnt doing that back when it was open.

Best Buy isn't doing price matching on BF. I know Wal-Marts ad says will match the competition. But who knows about pre-purchased goods. I would see if you can find the fine print in the ad, it might state excludes prior purchases.

The picture in the ad makes it look like the games are actually packed in with the console, so I don't think you'd be able to unless you somehow buy that bundle beforehand.
