So, how was Black Friday for you? What horror stories have you? Where did you go, and how'd it turn out?

I woke up at 5, and got to Target at 5:30. Got in, picked up Family Guy v2, Kodak camera + docker, and some SD cards, along with a few DVD for 6 or 8 dollars.

Anyway, after I got what I wanted I went to the games to see what was up.
All these mother were fighting over the Game Boy SPs. It as insane. Surprising, too.

I went to Wal Mart around 12, and they seemed fully stocked in games and DVDs, but were pretty much all out of TVs. Oh, and iPods too. No iPods.

So, how was your day?

I'm hoping this is leading up to the merchants eventually forcing shoppers into pit fighting one of these years. Man, that would be great. All the borderline rioters of today getting forced into life and death battles over cheap electronics.

Went to Kohl's at like 11 AM, got a lot of really good deals on tops and other things, it was busy when I first got there but the line to check out was almost nonexistent by the time I left. Got a $50 coupon to be used next week on stuff since my mom and I spent so much; that will be fun. My mom gave it to me since there's no Kohl's where we live (and there's one right near my college campus).

Then I went to Target. They had plenty of copies of Mario Kart DS, which was the main reason why I went. Got a couple other necessities, and got 10% off everything because my mom had one of their credit card coupons. It was not busy at Target at all. All in all, an easy day.

There was nothing great in bf for me,except for the buy 2 preowned get 1 free at gamestop and ebgames.

0ut of the ten stores I went to the majority of customers keep asking for the 360 system and only geting 2 games instead 3.What amazed me the most, that there was a big sign clearly indicting theres no more 360 and the buy2 get 1 free deal. No wonder eb/gamestop employees are so grump because all these dumb ass shoppers that pay attention and read the dam sign.

Had a good black Friday, got everything I was looking for, didn't have to resort to violence since I went to Best Buy at 9am, as chaos levels decreased as the day went on

Woke up at five, went to the mall at 5:30. I then sat on a 20 person line, outside EBgames, of people waiting for a 360. Naturally, there were none available. However, it is then when I delt with the misinformed EB employee, who told me I can't buy a 360 till May. Sad thing is, I honestly don't know what to believe as far as 360 shipments go, and theres a part of me believing that idiots ramblings

didn't get much-- just went out to send a package, get Elfen Lied Volume 4, and get my money back for my DoA 4 pre-order (now that we have those handy $10 off BB coupons.)

Pretty average except the fact that I almost died like 6 times on the road because of dumbass drivers. I had to use my middle finger more times in a 15 minute drive than I have in my whole life.

Navigating a mall parking lot on Black Friday = certain death.

Wasn't really a Black Friday deal, but after going around to random stores in the mall, I went to Target and got God of War for 28.88. Now I'm just sitting here enjoying beating on minotaurs until I can stab them in the mouth.

I was at wizzork fo` mizzle of tha day. motherfucka wizzle absolutely insane. i hate thizzem all. C-to-tha-izzant thugz read tha sale signs? why mizzle they insist tizzle th'n is on sale when they arent? why do they expect me ta pizzull sold-out merchandise out mah ass?

Went to target at 5:00, froze my ass off in line to get the digital camera for my sister, she better like the thing after what I did to be able to score one... Those things were gone within 15 mins of opening.

Yeah, they were gone by 6:30 here. They had a ton, though.

I went to CompUSA to get the 3.97 wireless router and USB adaptor. Unfortunately I got there at 12:20, and the store was PACKED. Not sure what the connection is, but easily over 1/2 of the mob was Asian.

Well, they were all taken - but all of a sudden people were all pointing at the ceiling and sure enough, a LOAD of the routers on the very top shelf. Several people (myself included) scaled the walls like King Kong and kindly dropped one or two to the grateful masses waiting below who couldn't or didn't want to climb the wall (One Asian lady holds her hand high in the air and says to me "You are size", then points to the top). :)

I was bummed that the USB adaptors were out and walked around with my g/f. We found nothing else of value, but at one point I heard a girl in the line that was at this point now a good 150 people long discussing her USB adaptor with her friends. I asked if she could tell me where she got it and her friend says "Why, do you need one?" I did, and she pulled one out from the shelf behind her where she had decided to abandon her second one.

Finally, it was time to suffer through the line. There were two MASSIVE lines going down either side of the store, but there were two registers between where the store shelves and product prevented the line from forming to the back of the store. I expected that each long line just fed into its corresponding "inside" register, but when I went up there the lines were not feeding into the middle registers. So I go to the guy who is about 15 people back at one of the middle registers and say "Is this the back of the line?" - "Yep!" After much clarifying that I wans't cutting in front of all those schmucks in the 150+ line, I stepped in.

Being the good CAG that I am, I noticed the other "middle" line was even shorter, due to a large group of tables/display mods directly behind it. I asked that guy at the back if he was truly the last person in line and he laughs and goes "Yep"! Now all I had to do was get over there, and leaving my place in line was now a risk as the "long" line had witnessed my maneuver and was now feeding into my short line. Finally, this hilarious African-American lady steps up and goes "Here's the problem, just move these right here!" and grabs the DVD display and moves it completely out of the way. I stepped through, waited through about 7 people in line, and got out of there 1.5 hours earlier than if we had gotten stuck at the back.

Got exactly what I came for and we got out in a reasonable amount of time. Now my parents can have wireless - something I've been promising we'd be able to hook them up with cheaply for a couple of months.

I dug through the best buy ad and decided to go and get the e-machine for my sister for x-mas. Got there at midnight, I was staying up all night anyhoo and was hella-bored. Ended up being 15th in line. Had a decent chat with the people in front of me. They were bored too so the guy called his brother to come hang out. At the front of the line, the first guy in line who was there at 6pm the night before, had two friends. One was playing a guitar and the other had a banjo. The guy with the banjo kept playing the same song over and over. Back to the guy in front of me-his brother showed up and was def someone I could get along with. BIG smartass and after being there for about 10 mins of hearing the same banjo song he stepped out of line and yelled at them to play something diff cause he was tired of hearing the same hill billy shit over and over. Needless to say they stopped.
The geek squad showed up in the vw bug and backed up with a projector and showed National Lampoons X-mas Vacation.

Inside it was a mad house as usual. For those that dont know-when you get the folders for buying the cameras or the computers, they call you up by number and get to check out all your shit there avoiding the line. Granted you took awhile to get called but that gave you plenty of time to get the other stuff. I saw they were taking awhile so I stashed my basket in the home theatre area behind the chairs, went down the plaza and did my target shopping. Came back grabbed my basket and I was next in line for the computer. When they called my number I started walking around to get in line for the geek squad check out. Someone thought I was cutting in line and called the manager out on me. When he asked if I was cutting in line, I said yes but no lol. Technically I was overall but I was there for the cmputer. So when I held up my #15 folder and the geek squad member told him I was next there, the manager explained to the guy behind me and I turned around to ask how it felt to be a complete tool by not asking me what was up. Other than that I got everything I wanted.
