black friday

CAGiversary!
do any canadian stores do black friday deals? I remember getting crackdown and another game for 10$ last year on sale at eb, but I have a feeling that it was for boxing day. does amazon.com ship games to canada like it will for books? I know there's going to be a bunch of sales there at least.

Black Friday deals at www.NCIX.com . Online deals and in store deals. I just got an email from them on black Friday, whatever black Friday means. Can't wait for boxing day.

I'm still waiting for deals on laptops with P8400 processor. If anybody know any laptops on sale with P8400 don't hesitate to share. Boxing Day is exactly 1 month away, but 1 month can be a long wait when you're waiting. Really dying for a new powerful laptop.

Black Friday is an American thing. The Friday after Thanksgivings. As the urban legend goes, it's the day retail stores sell the most, and thus post a profit for the year. Blank ink is used to show profit.

Which just makes The Brick even more retarded than they already are. They figure "durrp, red iz can-da, roights?". So they're having a Red Ink deal. Yeah, red is the color of ink you use when you're posting a loss / debt.

The NCIX black day sale is a silly attempt to cash in on a buzzword. If it was a real Black Day sale, they'd be having stupid sales like 19" lcd monitors for $25.

But isn't The Brick going through some finance problems though :D:D:D:D:D? I remember reading that a few weeks back in the National Post.

Sears is doing a Black Friday deal too but calling it "Boxing Day Friday". Nothing on games though. Some okay deals on TVs. 32" Samsung LNA450 for $550 or Panasonic 42" PX80 for $900.

I live in the US but my bank account is in Canadian funds... what I'm trying to say is that even though there are some OK deals here, the poor exchange rate usually kills them! Yes by that I'm referring to your amazon.com question (you can always go through Goomba for the shipping)

Unfortunately, Amazon.com will *not* ship video games, video game consoles or video game accessories to Canada.

You mean amazon.com. If you see a really good deal on games from US stores, give a holla to goomba, he'll hook you up with it.

Partly correct, Amazon.com do ship SELECT games to Canada, but the shipping cost is outrageous, to the point that it will kill even the best discounts they offer.

I added Dead Space for the 360 (one of the games that will work) to my cart and the shipping cost is $20 for it. I can't find a way to choose the cheaper shipping option so I assume you are forced to get the expensive shipping.

You can tell which ones can be shipped, in the description it will say

"Shipping: This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S."

Games that aren't shippable here will have in the product description

"Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S. and to APO/FPO addresses. For APO/FPO shipments, please check with the manufacturer regarding warranty and support issues."

The point of this all is, select games can be sent to Canada from Amazon.com, but you will probably save money by having goomba get it for you.

Thanks for the heads up, almost missed their sale. Too bad even a Drobo on sale is out of my price range though. :(

The Brick, really? That's a surprise to hear... I think they're opening a new store in our area.

Ironically, if you were to order books or DVDs from Amazon.com, very likely, they'll be shipped from their Canadian warehouses, regardless if the items were on their .ca site or not. >:p

That's the 1080p model right? The 800 is a bit better quality but... damn.

No, 450 model is 1080i,, the 500 series is 1080p

I'm excited for Boxing Day. I hope the economy completely destroys itself and there's furious looting just before Boxing Day.

go on ...
My mortgage agent gave my parents some $300 credit for that store .

On a side note : The brick sucks. They sell Gun (launch game) for 60 bucks. And they don`t have any electonics in stock ( you must wait) and some items are ridiculously overpriced.
