Black Ops Freind Invites not working

I'll send an invite to my friend, and he cant join it. It says something like " game session is no longer available" And the same goes for when he sends the invite. I am so frustrated, i pay 64 some dollars with tax and this is what happens...wow. Anybody else having this problem?
 
Set the party status to Open, either one of you, open the Friends list, go to your friend and hit Square to join them. No invite necessary.
 
If it is not set to open, then it is invite only. So to join your friend he has to send you an invite before joining and vice versa for him to join your game you must send him an invite first. Simple solution, keep it at open.
