Black Ops Hardened Edition "rare"?

So, I waited for the reviews to get Black Ops, and decided I want to get the Hardened Edition. All the sellers on Ebay and Amazon are selling it for crazy overinflated prices claiming it's "rare" and "out of print" already. However, my Gamestop still has 3 of them. Should I just pay the full retail cost and get it at Gamestop while they have them or just wait and get it from Amazon with credit?
 
What game isn't listed on ebay as "rare" or "out of print"? Just get it for the retail price if you want to play it now. I can't think of any games this generation that have had actually rare limited editions, this certainly won't be for such a high-profile game from a major company.
 
For sure don't pay some awful eBay price. I went to a Best Buy midnight opening and got the second to last copy of the 360 Hardened they had left. My cousin wanted it for the PS3 at the same time but that one was gone already at like 12:20 or so when we got to the front of the line. I think stores ARE in fact "selling out" of these since it's hot and the Hardened edition actually has some value to it with the playable maps instead of filler collectors item fluff that collect dust on the shelf. However, I kinda expect that the stores just sold out their initial shipment, and Distribution Centers for stores like Best Buy happen to be sitting on shitloads of them, which will start trickling out as soon as this weekend again. Cause of individual store shelf space, thanks to all the music games, they may be playing it a little more cautious loading up stores with limited editions of games now. I do see Halo Reach Legendaries on clearence at Target for 104.xx and 139.99 at BB already, and full packed shelves of the Reach collectors editions as well. I'd expect similar production numbers from this game.
 
Okay, thanks guys. I was fearing something like the Bioshock LE, but that's not going to happen =D. I'll just wait a while
 
Yeah man I got the regular just because I really wanted to play online, plus 25$ off gtaiv and the 25$ coupon at kmart, but the Hardened will most likely become easier to find in probably 2 weeks.
 
Haha ridiculous isn't it? I'm sort of sad the Hardened Edition doesn't have an art book though. I think I'll just buy the normal version to play over Christmas break then buy the Hardened Edition near when the next COD comes out. The MW2 Hardened Editions only go for about $30 ebay..even though I got mine for 80 >.
