Black Panthers using intimidation at polling site
I understand that violence is violence and that its not just targeted at the most white of white people. I am just saying blacks and whites using strong arm tactics should both be looked down upon and not tolerated.....however I have symphathy for blacks before whites because I have seen first hand some of the shit they have gone through even in these days.
I guess I am a more careful about who I choose to sympathize with. There are so many many people in the world more deserving then these two. I don't have sympathy for thugs of any stripe. I have sympathy for poor hardworking people who are paid an unfair wage, or poor people who can't find a job but I absolutely categorically refuse to feel any sympathy for someone who thinks violent intimidation is an acceptable option - and I reserve special contempt for those who aim their intimidation squarely at the American Democratic process.

What I'm wondering is if those BP members actually went into the polling place to cast their votes. After all, the white man started the whole electoral process.

This has to be the most retarded thing I've read in a while.
Larry, Moe, and Curly all in a row.

"Prove it", which is never necessary when it's democrats being disenfranchised or intimidated.

"..close to being even..." - payback instead of equality under the law

"Fox news....setup...' - the Conspiracy.

You people are the epitome of the left.
If I had to, I would analyze it honestly. But the most I can hope for by posting on a forum about serious issues is to annoy the hell out of those I disagree with. At least I'm honest.

Maybe that's a lame attempt at a joke, but it's not funny. The double-standard in this country on racism and thug mentality would be comedic if it wasn't so frighteningly ignorant and destructive.
what did race have to do with any part of my post? That was a purely political joke about getting even for a stolen election. Oh I'm sorry, how about instead of the "Black Panthers" we use the "Normal white democratic people" or better yet, the "people who have no race, but who are democratic." Are we now one step closer to abolishing the "double standard" on race?

btw, if they did what the video alleges, that would be royally fucked up and they should pay the consequences. As should anyone who obstructs the voting process...I wouldn't really cheer them on.

Obama to black panthers:

seriously though, i don't know what these two were thinking.By standing there and attempting to intimidate people you cause more harm to your candidate than good.

*in that animal planet voice* Black Panthers: an almost-extinct kind of Panther, from the Black family tree, they were brought to North America many years ago, but their numbers have declined rapidly with carnivores on the loose, like the Federal Beasts Incognitos.

But seriously, at least in the north east, most people - black, white, other have voted for Obama, whats with the racism guys, and wtf is up with black panthers 'guarding' the polls? that's messed up. i wouldnt want white supremacists standing around the poll site...

Ya but your also the farther of far right conservative assholes anyways. So its only natural that sympathy for others isnt a foreign concept to you. Again sorry but there is a difference beteween hating anothe race simply because they are another race....and hating another race because of 100s of years of oppresion and dickitude towards your own race.

The English oppressed the Irish for centuries - do you feel sympathy for those Irish who use threats of violence against ordinary citizens in a bid for political power?

We can also play this game in the Middle East, in Africa, in South America - do you sympathize with all groups who use threats of violence against ordinary citizens because they happen to belong to a racial or religious group that was discriminated against in the past?

I just want to see how far your sympathies go, whether there is any consistency here.

Maybe sympathy is the wrong word to use. Maybe its more like understanding. As I said I dont show them sympathy in the sense of thinking "wow what your doing, totally justified and not deserving of punishment" but instead "hmmm.....ya you deserve te be punished and what you did is wrong.....but I can understand where your coming from and why under your circumstances you might feel pushed to commit violent acts".

A wrong act is a wrong act........but you have to understand that there is a huge ass difference between people who commit and act for the sake of hurting others, and those that feel they have been wronged constantly and feel they are in a sick way defending their rights.
