Wanted to know if anyone else was going to get Bleach DS 2nd as I know a few of us bought the first one. It was released in Japan yesterday, although my order from YesAsia will not ship until Feb 22nd. And I pre-ordered it on January 9th! WTH is up with that?

So share your Bleach DS 2nd FCs if you have one, or post for a placeholder so I know who to hunt down when I get my copy. :)

Almost the same situation here, except I ordered mine from YesAsia. I preordered it Jan. 11th and my shipment just got delayed until the 22nd. I'd definitely want to battle against some fellow CAGs.

Now all we need is Datel to hurry up with that Freeloader. ;)

I've just got it today (20 minutes ago), but unfortunately I have some problem with my router and DS configuration: recently my ISP did something to its DSL network which made my router disconnect itself every 10 minutes. Finally I found the solution by flashing the router's firmware back to the old version, but using the old firmware, I couldn't make my DS pick up the wireless signal (if I used the new one, my DS could pick up the signal but I couldn't bear that disconnect problem).

My router is Netgear DG834G v2.00.

By the way, about the game, I can't see any big improvement in graphic and gameplay: the same card system is still there, the same graphic, and the same combat system (even intro is not much different from the previous installment). But I may be wrong since I've only played it for 20-30 minutes. :whistle2:#

Why buy this game when you can just get Jump! Ultimate Stars? :whistle2:k

The characters from Bleach are in that game anyway :booty:

Because this game is far deeper than JUS's "Smash Bros. in 2D" fighting system? And because while JUS has Ichigo, Renji, Rukia, and Hitsugaya playable as battle characters, BDS 2 has over 40 (right? my copy's not here yet...) Bleach characters. And it plays akin to Guilty Gear and Street Fighter, not SSB.

You know he was kinda just joking right?

Wow, so this game is excellent. It feels much more solid than I was expecting and it seems to have quite a bit of depth. Definitely think this was a worthy purchase.

I'm kind of a Bleach fan (I watch it on CN since there's nothing better on at 1:30 (or whenever the late broadcast of it is) but I think I'm getting this since it's developed by Treasure :)

Is it all in japanese?

There's a lot more Japanese than the typical fighting game has, but you should be fine. The main menu's in Kanji, but it's kinda easy to figure out what a mode is because the announcer says "Arcaddo Modo" or "Tuurraining Modo." The gameplay is self explanatory -- knock the shit out of your opponent. At least, that's in the arcade mode... story mode might require a translation guide if you wanna get all the shit you can out of that (it seems sorta like Guilty Gear's story mode in that you don't really need it to enjoy the game.) There's some cards that give you various effects when you use them in the game, but those seem relatively easy to understand as well. I think most baka-gaijin's wouldn't have a problem playing this.

So if you'll excuse me...

...would I like this game if I don't like/watch any anime?

It looks pretty cool, but if I have no idea who is who, then will this game still appeal to me?

I've only seen a little bit of Bleach and yeah, the gameplay is definitely good enough to appeal to people who haven't seen the show.

Well, I would like to get it, but my wallet has taken a serious beating these past two months, with Crackdown, Jump Ultimate Stars, etc. I'm not sure I can put down another $50 on a game I'm not positive I want.

If there is ever a price drop, though, I'll be sure to pick it up :)

I certainly hope my copy arrives tomorrow or Wednesday...I'm kicking myself for choosing the slowest shipping option (Airmail, 5-10 days or something like that) from Play-Asia...Anyone with experience with Play-Asia's shipping have any idea when I should expect the game if it shipped on the 14th?
