Haven't seen this posted, so I thought I'd do it.

I just got back from a local Blockbuster and noticed an awesome sign on the front. It said Buy any previously viewed movie or video game and get 50 percent off the sticker price. Obviously, this is one deal you can't pass up.

Games I saw that I can remember:
Simpson's Hit & Run (PS2) originally priced at $14.99 - $8.50 after deal
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2) originally priced at $19.99 - $10 after deal
Mace Griffin (PS2) originally priced at $14.99 - $8.50 after deal
Several Xbox, PS2 and Cube sports titles priced at $19.99 - $10 after deal

There were a lot more, and this was just a small Blockbuster I happened to go by, but I drove by a bigger Blockbuster on the way home and saw the same sign so, this should be a national deal going on.

Good luck guys, and post any games that you get through this deal here.

I plan to go pick up a few tomorrow.

i checked the nearest blockbuster (no gamerush inside) and they didn't have this one going on. i did, however, pick up dino crisis 2 for $3, which isn't too bad.

the movies were still 2 for $20.

And if it is true you should not have posted this. If the deal is good at one store in one small hick city 99.9% of the people here can't take advantage of it. People will drive there expecting this deal and it is not true and wasted time and gas.

Yeah, I'm some 15-year-old alright. Actually, I'm going on 23 and have been in the Air Force for four years doing Public Affairs. PA has one of the highest wash-out rates in the military, so you have to know your shit if you want to do the job, son.

And yeah, if a clerk tells me a promotion is ongoing, I will hold them to that even if it wasn't supposed to be. Just wait a bit, I'll be having some great pics of the store, along with my new games.

I have feeling it'll 50% for all at some point. hopefully not before MGSTTS is sold at the BB down the street (32.99 -> 16.50).
 
I just came back from 2 different BBs on my way and after shopping groceries at Safeway. They were only BOGO 50% off, so no go for me. Who knows, this may too be a specific location, YMMV deal, or perhaps a deal that will soon circulate around.

A cool thing that popped in my mind while typing this was that of all 4 of the Safeways around me, all 4 of them had a BB lurking around real close in the same area. 8)

Man all the blockbusters near me suck. The games that I see are LOW for the XBOX-39.99 or Star Wars Clone Wars 54.99

I bet all the blockbusters are going to have this deal real soon. I think graveaddicts blockbuster started it early or accidently started the deal early when they got the marketing materials. Maybe in a few days this will be worldwide for all blockbusters. It could be a graduation or fathers day deal thing. Lets just hope it is, because my BB has a lot of games I would be happy to get at 50% off.
 
i went to another blockbuster, and they didn't have the 50% off either. they did have BOGO free on NES, SNES, genesis, and N64 games, though.

That would be a really cool deal if they did that. Don't forget, though, that DVDs are also a part of this deal. So if it does go into effect, look for those too.

Also, I asked the clerk when they started the promotion, and she said they started last weekend.

I dunno, maybe you guys can get them to price match my Blockbusters. You can see the phone numbers on the receipts I added to my other posts. Might not work, but it's definitely worth a try. And you have a photo showing their promotion.
 
when you buy a used game from blockbuster ask for a real game case, they usually have them behind the counter, and ask for a manual. If they are cool they will pull one from the rental copies. I got my Max Payne 2 in a green case with instructions, you would never know it was a blockbuster copy.

I was hoping you would realize the error of your ways and try to be a little bit nicer but I see that's not going to happen anytime soon. As far as people saying "haha" to you for misspelling a word....no one is doing that. Everyone has typos and misspells words, incorrect grammer. Your posts have gotten somewhat more legibile since people pointed out to you how bad they were. But if I went back and looked at your older points, not taking into consideration spelling errors, small gramatical errors, and typos, I would conclude one of a few things (yes I do know you say you are a college graduate):

a) English is not your first language (nothing wrong with this if it's true)

b) Borderline retarded

c) Extremely poorly educated.

And none of that would matter at all if you were nice to people and not trying to act superior.

I checked my local stores and they are all franchise. These stores don't have this deal. They told me that corporate is probably running the deal and they don't have to partake. I guess I'm assed out. They had mario sunshine and rebel strike III too! Damn it!
 
My store is corporate but it's not running it. If it was at all corporate locations I think it'd be on the website....

Only read halfway through these postings and realized starman sounds really dumb so I thought I'd post that. Its probably already decided by others on pages 4 and 5, but I just wanted to voice my opinion.
