ok i signed up for the free trial,canceled in the 2 weeks, and returned all my movies...or so i thought.

i canceled my account on october 26th.

this past saturday, nov 6th, i received a blockbuster dvd in the mail, which i found strange, especially since i never got an e-mail about it shipping before i closed my account.

i contacted blockbuster about this and they said that the movie i got was still out and i was being charged 21.99 for it, and if it was an error they would still charge me a $2.99 restock fee!

problem is, i only had $15 in the bank account linked to my bb account.
so i check my online balance, and there it is...-$5.xx

so i grab $10 from my roomates bill money (which i have because i pay, i didnt steal it ^^) and ride down to the bank at 5 am and put 10$ in to get my balance back up to +$4.xx

fucking bastards. they have shitty service and now they try and pull shit like sending me a movie late and un-notified to get 20$ out of me!? avoid them like the plauge!
 
Glad I didn't sign up for this. I had a bad feeling about it.

In other "x ripped me off!" news, I tried to log into my GiftFox.com account the other day to check the status of my DS, and it tells me my account no longer exists. :evil: I sent them an email asking just what the fuck is going on, and have yet to recieve a reply. I don't see it ending well.

I believe there was a BlockBuster offer on the GiftFox site, but I wasn't referencing that. I was just pissing about how confused I was to see that my account no longer exists.
 
My question was more towards punqsux... but i would be pissed too if i were you ledhed... i dont think youll get a response to your email though. Just out of curiosity what was the offer you completed under gift fox?
 
Just anothing wonderful thing about blockbuster Ii ahd the movie pass which I started on the 5th of Spetember. After the first month the pass got renewed on the 5th but this moth the decided to move the renew date to the first so when I went to cancel on the 3rd the guys told me it was too late and now im stuck paying 2 for another month
 
Holy crap, the same thing happened to me. I signed up for the free trial and about two weeks after I cancelled I recieved another dvd from them. I didn't even bother to check my account to see if they charged me. I just thought they were being nice and sent me the only movie left on my queue.
 
I got 11 free rentals because I signed up for the rent 3 on a low balance card. they then canceled the account. I then changed my account from 3 to 8 and they sent me 8 more movies before the got the 3 back. They then canceled the account because they card was declined again. I also got 6 free instore rentals. My card was never charged.
 
you know guys, this is kind of ironic don't ya think. You try to rip them off for two free rentals and instead they get you for 3 bucks.
 
they are saying my card is invalid now, as a matter of fact, every site is saying the same thing. help?
 
Ah, finally people understand my frustration with BlockBuster. I used to return games on time and months later I would get a bill stating that I returned it days late after this went on 3-4x's I canceled my account with them.

Sadly I rejoined, but only because of GameRush, I still do not rent and I do not plan to rent from them again. I did trade in a ton of CC games and made like $200+ in profit so I got satisfaction in a way...
 
My Blockbuster.com account is working just fine. No extra charges at all. Been using them for about 3 months over NetFlix. Good service, fast delivery, free coupons so I can rent games. $16/month.

I may switch to Netflix again....but not sure. BB is just fine.

The best thing to do, is know when you are going to cancel and do it a few days before they charge you again. You should be able to finish your paid month and they won't charge you for the next month. Plus, for extra safety, take all the movies out of your Q list!!
