Just bought a GC game and I have two questions, one should it have a manual? Two what is the return policy? Theres a minor scratch.

You knew it didn't have a manual when you left the store, right? I'm confused by that question.

Not sure what the return policy is, if the game doesn't work.

they don't always come with a manual, but you can usually ask for one and they try to find one for you. 30 days with reciept.

It's always a good idea to carefully inspect any used games you're looking at prior to purchase. This includes checking disc condition and whether or not it's complete (case, manual, etc.). If the store won't let you look it over, don't buy it. Do not let yourself be surprised when you get home to find your disc scratched and no instructions present. If this is what happened this time, hopefully you'll learn not to make this same mistake again.

The Blockbuster here tucks the manuals between the outside cover art and the back of the case. That way, you know it is included and it doesn't get wrinkled and creased by them trying to smash it in the BB case.

Mostly, it's kids that have no idea that if it gets scratched up, it won't work. Plus if it is damaged, they always have mommy & daddy to buy them another copy if it's screwed up. But it could also be that the people scratched the hell out of it, knew it didn't work and just traded it in to get rid of it(and those people are definitely A-holes for doing that).

I don't buy BB Used game, because all of their of PS2 games in in BB rental case, which sucks big time. I managed to picked up MGS2: subtance used at BB, I had to replace it with the MGS2: Son of Liberty case, and order the insert cover for it.

I bought two used game at blockbuster this weekend doa volleyball and Dino Crisis 3. Doa was complete and disk only had fingerprints. DC 3 when they took it out of the case was still shrinkwrapped, they just unwrapped it and sold it as used.

Probably shrinkwrapped becuase nobody wanted to play Dino Crisis 3. It's terrible!

I know a few guys who leave their games out of the case. Just have them sitting loose all over their coffee table. Too lazy to bother with the cases I guess... [-X

Well it's like this...

Generally when in GR I find the games I want...Some you can tell if they are likely to have manuals or not. Lots of times though I just pick up the game and see how much it weighs...lots of time you can tell if a game has the booklet in there with it if it's heavier than one you know doesn't have a manual in it (which is extremely light, esp in the security cases).

Worse comes to worse just tell em you're going to buy them then tell them you won't buy them unless they have a manual. *shrug*
