WE DO NOT HAVE PDFS OF THE COUPON PRINTING COUPONS, THE COUPONS ARE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED

Please keep trade and other off topic chatter to a minimum. It is healthy and unless it gets out of hand or really off topic or in a direction that is heading towards fraud or illegal actions, please do not worry.

The Disney Movie Rewards site has changed, the coupon printing is now associated with your account, printing 2 times per account is now the limit, as well as per computer. This was tested at the end of the Toy Story craze a few months back. If you have a girlfriend with an account or a brother or sister, see if you can have their extra coupons if you need them.

So here are the coupons:
Got both TS movies for $3.98 + tax at Target by price matching TRU.

Here's how it went down.
16.99 TS 1 TRU price match
-10 TS 1 vendor Coupon
16.99 TS 2 price match
-10 TS 2 vendor coupon
-10 Target promo for both movies
=3.98+tax
I'm amazed at how many people have been getting this. How is Target missing that the $16.99 is AFTER the $10 drop? If they're marking the price down to $16.99 and then giving you the $10 off deal, that's crazy. Is the TRU ad that misleading?

Wait, the last couple times I tried PMing at Target, the said they didn't do that anymore. This was a couple years ago. Have they gone back to PMing?

Okay, so not even counting the insanity last week with Princess and the Frog, as my 2 $5 Toy Story pre-orders were free (as they were for many others on here, though for me it was due to a manager screw up as I noted earlier...with P&TF and the 2 pre-orders costing me about a quarter total).

I just got back from Toys R Us, where the clerk in the RZone told me there were no copies in the blu ray cases (except for pre-orders). Just so happened that I had my pre-order, so I was good. I grabbed a $14.99 Lego set because I knew otherwise there would most likely be possible problems/manager involvement with a negative total (though I'd love for them to actually pay me to take the two movies), and away we went with ringing it up. This did not require any sort of override or manual steps - all coupons and the pre-order card scanned fine, here is what the receipt says:

Toy Story 1 = $11.99 ($29.99 - $5.00 for buying both together, - $8.00 sale price, - $5.00 pre-order)

Toy Story 2 = $11.99 ($29.99 - $5.00 for buying both together, - $8.00 sale price, - $5.00 pre-order)

Lego Racers Ramp Crash $14.99

- $5.00 MFR Coupon
- $10.00 MFR Coupon
- $5.00 MFR Coupon
- $10.00 MFR Coupon

$8.97 subtotal

$3.80 tax :)bomb: damn you CA 9.75% tax)

$12.77 total out the door

---------------------

I'm not going to mention my Target results yet, as I'm going to try for one more attempt to get 8 coupons (3 manufacturers coupons each and 1 Target Disney Blu coupon) total applied for the two Toy Stories AND a pricematch to Fry's for $14.97 each (lulz)...

Here is the plan, although I know it's just wishful thinking:

Pricematch Fry's if possible ($19.97 each -$10.00 for buying both) = $14.97 each, then MFR Coupon -$10.00 each, MFR Coupon -$5.00 each, -$8.00 Upgrade2Blu coupon each, -$3.00 Target Blu coupon, -$10.00 Target automatic discount for buying both (basically double applying the $10 for buying both discount, as some here have reported):

$14.97 x 2 = $29.94 - $20 -$10 -$16 -$6 -$10 = -$32.06

I *think* that's the maximum theoretical discount i.e. the best possible price. Will it ever happen? No chance in hell.

Seems like it. Their ad only says that if you buy one then it's 21.99 but if you buy two then it's $16.99. There's no mention in their ad of "get $10 off for both" the way Bestbuy and Target's own promo has it.

Edit: My mistake. Actually it does say save an "additional $10 off"
Wait, the last couple times I tried PMing at Target, the said they didn't do that anymore. This was a couple years ago. Have they gone back to PMing?
Well it worked for me. Might as well try. The only problem I had at first was I only had the page of the actual item as opposed to the whole ad. They said they need the whole TRU ad and not just the specific page so I had to go back to TRU to get it. Good thing mine's just a block away.

Yeah, I pulled up the TRU ad online, and it is a little odd because it looks just like a sale price and not a promotional deal. I wonder if that would be convincing enough for my Wal-Mart to just match that price since they don't "price match promotions". Although with as difficult as they were earlier, I'd almost be scared to hand them the coupons after getting them to price match.

My local Target wouldn't let me PM TRU's price AND use the coupons. In the end, I just went to TRU, used the coupons, and got them for $3 or so out the door. Best. Deal. Ever.

Btw, my local Target store registers wouldn't allow me to stack the $10 and $5 off coupons. Wouldn't allow it and the manager on the spot there said that I couldn't either. Had no problem with stacking coupons at TRU though.

I think the main thing here is that after the cashier reduces the price to 16.99, Target's register also automatically deducts their own $10 promo to the purchase. I'm not sure how Wal-Mart does it so it could come out differently.

Well, WalMart isn't even doing the $10 off deal...and they wouldn't adjust the prices to be comparable because it was "a promotion, and not a sale". I don't even care about the extra $10 off you saved. I just want the "buy together" price and my $10 upgrade coupons. And with the ad specifically showing the prices AFTER the discount, and not just a simple "save $10 if you buy both", this might be good enough to get them to adjust the price. This isn't relevant for most people. I'm just trying to save myself an hour drive to Target.

Oh that sucks. I was actually about to say why not just try Target. Anyway, it's probably worth a try. The deal is just too good to pass up if you can get it.

This is what happened yesterday:

Princess and the Frog:
34.99
-15.00 preordered both Toy Story 1 and 2
-5.00 Disney promo?
-10.00 coupon (Princess and the Frog)
TOTAL: 4.99 + tax

PLUS two $5.00 preorders.

This is what will happen at 7:00pm tonight:

Toy Story 1 / Toy Story 2
21.99
21.99
-10.00 for buying both Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2
-10.00 coupon (Toy Story 1)
-10.00 coupon (Toy Story 2)
TOTAL: 13.98 + tax

I would love to get the additional $10 off (from stacking the $5 coupons ontop of the $10 coupons), but what about my preorders ($5, and $5)?

Should I basically eat the $10 loss in preorders, for that $15 discount on the Princess and the Frog? What am I missing???

How can I use the preorders, or get the $10 back, and stack the four coupons ($10, $5, $10, $5)? HELP!

bring in the pre-order card and the receipt from yesterday and say i would like to pick up the pre orders. they will then subtract 5 from each movie if they scan the card right.

This is what the order will be without the preorders and borth $5 coupons:
No way to use it against the $5 balance from Princess and the Frog? It is on the preorder receipt.
Probably no way to get it back now. I'm not sure about this but it seems to me that these coupons just get deducted off the total and isn't necessarily connected to the item on the receipt as long as its on the same transaction. Case in point, when I preordered TS 1/2, I also got P&TF, used the 10/5 coupons and ended up only paying $1.99+tax. That means that the remaining balance on the coupon was deducted to the $10 pre-order I paid. So if you want to get back that $10 you paid for the pre-order, you could try and add a filler worth $10 that allows you to use those additional $5 coupons. Might not be something you intend on buying but at least you get something for the $10 you spent on pre-order. Of course, this is all assuming they let you use both coupons as it seems to be YMMV.

no, that is correct.

no, you have already paid for that. you can not get credit for that. you could however add something that is over that amount, theoretically, for free. it appears no one has tried this that has posted here but if everything gets entered in properly it should would.

I am just going to do this since my Target wouldn't price match. I don't mind if its not your policy or if you are just oblivious to it or whatever, but I don't get store managers who are so hellbent on not selling things to you at a lower price! The point is to sell the items so that I don't go somewhere else folks!! Sure, you may not get the same margin on the item, but you got my money instead of [insert retailer]

the MFG Coupon thing is a whole different story. They don't seem to understand that it is cash, so they shouldn't care how much the coupon is for since the MFG is paying them back!!

Ah, okay. Thanks guys. I know this may sound shady, but aren't all UPC's the same for these movies. Anyone know where I can find them?I don't have DVD or VHS's of the movies. Thanks!

Darn, I got both for about $22 bucks earlier today without knowing about the additional $10 coupons. Oh well, still a bargain!

Why does everyone forget that they've paid $10 for the preorders across Toy Story 1 and 2? You paid for them when you did the pre-order, so that money isn't in your possession any longer.

the UPCs have been posted in the thread multiple times.

I don't even think they scan the preorder receipt at all. I think they just scan the barcode on the preorder slip and it takes off $5 of each TS.

Check page 55. I only have the Ultimate Toy Box version, which doesn't seem to work for those coupons, so I see no shadiness.

That money isn't yours... but you are entitled to have that money deducted from the overall total of the item, when purchased.

This is what I didn't understand a few days ago. But based on some of the posts that have been made, it seems people were stacking the PatF coupons to such an extent that they weren't even paying for the $10 pre-order for the Toy Story movies. Essentially, the PatF coupons were paying for that too. I can't even fathom raping the system that badly, but I guess that's why many don't consider the pre-order they put down to be "their money".

Damn! My Target was out of Toy Story copies despite having three racks for both 1 and 2. Is Wal-Mart offering the instant $10 savings as well? My local store didn't put out an ad this week so I have no idea.
BEWARE TRU PRE-ORDERERS: the guy who rang me up this morning didn't know how to properly scan my pre-order card. I ended up getting out of there for $2.93 for both TS1 and TS2 using the two $10 and two $5 coupons. He didn't give me credit for the $5 each I'd already spent on the pre-orders.

Make sure they scan your stuff properly. I'm not gonna make a big deal out of $2.93, since I essentially got P&TF, TS1 and TS2 for $14. (perhaps this is not in the true spirit of CAG (wink) but I'm okay with the deal I got.)
That $2.93 you got charged is tax. Same thing happened to me and I thought the same thing, but if you look at the receipt, it shows up as tax. I guess there's no escaping the tax man. (the coupons are treated as tender, so I guess are taxable)

The movies really were free, plus you get $17 in movie tickets! Rejoice!

Nope. Everywhere else is though: KMart, ToysRUs, BestBuy

I ended up getting both for about 11 bucks. Target was able to PM TRU 16.99 price for each and I was only able to use the two $10 coupons. I got the last Toy Story 1 copy! :D I'm satisfied :)

Can anyone tell me what the current best deal is for PatF? I see that Target's and TRU's 26.99 sale prices appear to have expired. Yes, I know that you guys were all finagling crazy $1.98 prices on that one, but I'm happy to pay $16.99 if there's a place where I still can (with coupon).

Thanks! Any idea what the K-Mart price is? They fail to mention it in the ad and online.

Wasted nearly two hours as a result of Toys R Us not having the Blu-ray case copies. Half hour to get there, good half-hour plus to be brought the movies from the back only to be given the DVD case ones, more time to go back and look to find they have a single copy of TS1 and I'd be SOL with TS2. So then another half hour to go and try and be slick at Target and get them to match TRU's price then get the $10-off promo they had on top of that plus my coupons but they caught on. So my only chance is to find a TRU this week that has both in stock at the same time and drive around. Ugh...

I almost got them for the $6 total but the store manager was very hesitaint and i just caved and ended up paying under $20 for both. Still a great deal.
Why does everyone forget that they've paid $10 for the preorders across Toy Story 1 and 2? You paid for them when you did the pre-order, so that money isn't in your possession any longer.
Well, I certainly didn't pay for them. When I bought Princess and the Frog at Toys R Us along with the 2 pre-orders, my total was literally $4.38 or something, and according to some on here, I overpaid (although I also got another copy for free...actually, money back @ Target, so basically I paid $5.52 for the 2 pre-orders, 2 boxes of band-aids, and 2 copies of P&TF deluxe combo...or $.52 after the mail in rebate on the bandaids).

BTW, I listed my Toy Story 1 and 2 two pack (the white single case that is double thick and holds both dvds) on amazon yesterday night for $39.99 and it sold within an hour.

I didn't realize that they gave me the DVD cases since I was in a hurry to work... Will have to go back later and hope they have them in.

Well I'll post my Toy Story Blu-ray adventure,

Toys R Us. Chapter 1

Had both preordered through toys r us w/ the princess and the frog deal, paid only $7 and some change for the movie and preorders. Walked in today excited to get the movies, ends up they sold all the Blu sized cases and only put aside regular ones which I wasn't happy about cause whats the point of a preorder then? Anyways, they put my name + number down & said they should have em Friday and would call. Thats fine I thought, no rush, got home and started thinking, if they dont come in this week it's gonna be a hell of a time getting the $10 Disney combo for buying both. So I went back, planned on either trying to pay it off now or buy the DVD size case and just exchanging later.
Now comes the part that makes me want to burn down the building...
Spoke w/ the manager about this because no one could distinguish the difference between the two cases . She said that it would be fine to get regular now then exchange later, but that the blu sized case would cost more,. What, why, how much? I ask. She said she didn't know how much more, but it costs more than the standard case. HUH? I told her to grab the ad, which clearly has ALL EDITIONS for the same price. "No, thats wrong" She says, " No its not" I replied. So she continues to tell me about how the ad is wrong and then says "did you bring the $10 coupon?" I said, " I have a $10 coupon why do you ask?" "You need the $10 coupon to get the $10 off for buying both" I'm all set to rage at this point, I end up asking for the $10 reserve back, since they dont have my reserve and the price is now gonna be more AND I cant get the $10 for buying both without using the $10 upgrade coupon. I get the $10 back, having made $3 and getting patf free, I head to Target....

Target. Chapter 2

Walk to electronics, they had 3 TS1 blu cases left, grab one. No TS2 blu, I watch some kid grab the last one, they end up having more in the back (thank god). Went to the check out. Employee rung it up, $10 came off instantly for buying both, then gave the two $10 coupons, total came to $18.14. Thank you very much Target.

Tl;Dr

Toys R' Us wasn't gonna use the instant $10 off, upped the price of the blu sized case all on their own, AND didn't bother hold any of the blu sized cases for my reserve.

Target was smooth as butter.
There are so many CAGs that oddly have not understood the nature of this deal, and that is the problem. Here is the legit, not "raping the system," way the deal worked:
PATF: 26.99
TS 1 & 2 preorders: 10
Preorder deal: -15
Preorder glitch deal: -5
PATF $10 Coupon: -10
This was the totally legit, obviously within the terms of the promotion way to have PATF pay $3 towards both TS movies, as the total for preorders and PATF was $7-8 (or $2-3 if you stacked coupons). Oddly, many CAGs were looking at this payment as what was paid for PATF, but it wasn't, it was for 2 $5 preorders and PATF. The failure to understand the nature of this transaction is what is leading CAGs to now pay $10 more for TS 1&2 than they should.

Just walked out Target for $6.32 for both Blu Ray. Here a key to get it work correctly. Have the cashier ring one up do the TRU $16.99 price change. Then have them ring the second one up with the price change. Then after the Target system gives you the $10.00 off package deal hand them the $10.00 off coupons. The problem that the cashier was running into on mine she was trying to scan them both at the same time. The machine was scanning the second one at $12.99. Sorry if this has been previously posted. Hope it helps anyone out.

The person you talked to at TRU has absolutely no idea what they're talking about - in fact, I'd email or tweet them and bitch.

Out the door with both for $17.30... thanks to all for the links and such!

This different case thing is irritating... my Target claims they didn't get any of Toy Story 1 in the Blu-Ray case variety. Rather than drive around during rush hour looking for Targets, I decided just to get one along with a Toy Story 2 Blu with the hopes of exchanging later. Does anyone know if the DVD and Blu versions have identical SKUs? This seems like it could be a headache to exchange down the line if the sales staff doesn't realize that they are identical, especially once the sale is off.

They have different ones. I don't think there'd be any problem exchanging it as long as they're not open. I read earlier that someone made the same mistake and made an exchange no problem.
