Didn't see this posted but if it is my bad...

but i was wasting time today at work this morning and noticed
frys.com has the James bond collections vol 1 thru 4
at 34.99 each, not bad when amazon has for $58...

so if anyone hasn't bought them yet here's your chance...

Not too bad. I still need Vol.2 and Vol.4, but I think I'll probably hold off on this still.

You can find the sets used for about the same price, and there's a few other things on my list right now that'll prevent me from picking these up.

That is a good deal though, if you have the cash I reccomend picking them up.
 
hmmm... i wonder how much the ultimate set that's being released on 11/6 will be priced at B&Ms... i'm guessing that's one of the reasons that the individual sets is dropping off in price...
 
The problem with the sets is that you cant just pick and choose the best of the series, the good ones like goldfinger, dr no, moonraker(OK flame me on that one, but its my fave heh) cant be lumped together into one set. YOu have to get the entire pack

But this is great for the completists out there.

OH yeah i would really love it if they just merged all of the bond sex scenes all onto one dvd. That would be the ideal bond collection

I haven't heard anything about this, what is it? Is it just a set with all 21 DVDs together? Is there going to be different content than what's in the current sets?

The current sets are a huge improvement over the last sets. I had 9 out of the 19 DVDs from the last set, sold them for more money than I paid for the 2 sets I currently have (which have 10 DVDs all together).

I can't wait to get the next 2 sets, but like I said there's other things I'm more interested in getting first.
 
Oh boy, I just picked the last three up for 27.99 each, you guys better get 'em now!
-EDIT- By last three, I mean 2, 3, and 4. As far as I know, they are still in stock. Sorry for the momentary confusion.
 
price is really dropping on those... got em for 27.99 each. i really think it is them clearing out stock to make room for the ultimate james bond collection

fiendish, the ultimate set is basically all four box sets together along with the recent casino royale. exact same discs, exact same content. only difference is it comes in a collector's box. hopefully the box will be made the order for those who previously purchased the sets. probably not though.

the list price on the ultimate set is pretty high. got all four individual sets for $120... dunno if i'd be able to find that ultimate set for that price point. having now written that, i probably WILL find it at costco or something. but can't pass up on a good deal like that. we'll see what happens
 
I went ahead and ordered all 4 of them, since Casino Royal is the only one I own on DVD.
Sadly they were $27.99 when I first put them in my cart but while I was deciding they went up to $29.99. :cry:
Still a good deal though.

That set has been out for awhile over seas in Europe/Israel.

Anyway, again I must ask, but does anyone know if this is good in store?

this leads me to believe the price is online only. haven't yet been to a fry's recently, so i can't say for sure. but fry's stores don't match frys.com in my experience, so it seems it would have to be purchased online.

and checking the pages, the individual prices have gone back up to 29.99...odd. luckily i got in at the 27.99 price. i was worried the price might drop down even further, since it started out at 34.99 when this was first posted... but maybe not...
 
Strange... the individual pages still list 27.99 but the cart says 29.99. Anyone know of a way to get cheaper shipping on frys.com? I am seeing 7.18 for ground at the moment. Would overstock, Deep Discount or some other DVD site price match this?

Yeah I sent them an email about that. Hopefully they will adjust the price of my order.
 
This is a unbelievable price here in Canada...because out prices are still high for items even tho the dollar is the same, but the shipping kills it, it's like 60 buck after shipping and taxes.
 
I ordered mine on Saturday night and I got them today before I woke up. I didn't even think they would ship them until today.
 
Well they sent me an email saying they would review my case and may refund me $8. It's not a big deal, I've already opened the DVDs, but getting $8 back would be nice.
