One sentence commentary on the first five episodes of season four.

In spoiler tags, just to be safe. :)

Episodes 1 and 2, "Yanks in the UK" (I and II):
Damn that Grayson Barasa! By the power of Grayskull, I smite thee!

Episode 3, "The Man in the Outhouse":
Sweets and Booth during the diner scene with Brennan was fun. Poor Coldplay.

Episode 4, "The Finger in the Nest:
As someone who loves his doggies, the ending was quite saddening and a nice bit of commentary on dog fighting.

Episode 5, "The Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond":
We miss you, Zack. :whistle2:(

Tonight's episode, episode five, was solid. Bones is like House. While most episodes feature a story that is resolved per episode, there are main stories that are nicely progressed through the season. Last season's finale, with Zack, was incredible. I was floored by the revelations and events.

No last season's storyline with Zack was trash and pulled from their ass.

And what is the over-lining theme/arc for this season? Is there one?

I enjoy this show, it's one of the few that my girlfriend and I can agree on. And with Gormagon no longer in the picture, it seems like there's not much of a underlying story. Unless you count the sexual tension between Booth and Bones. And Angela and Hodgins, but that's just something to fill time and create 'drama'.
