1. No, all the "crying and complaining" comes because when you buy the GOTY version, you're getting a one-time install of the DLC, so you don't "own" the DLC at all.
2. After the vouchers codes are used, the GOTY version is no different from a plain vanilla Borderlands game.
3. What happens if your console dies, how do you reinstall the DLC?
4. What happens if you have two consoles in your house, and want to install on both? You can't do it, and that's why people are complaining.
5. Stop supporting BS releases like this, instead of attacking people who complain for good reason.[/QUOTE]
Time to analyze this post:
1. Why wouldn't you own the DLC when you buy the game? That's just silly, so you are saying that Gearbox comes to your house and takes the content away at some point? Capcom did the same thing with RE5 Gold and I didn't see this mass outcry over this tactic. You put the code, you download the content and then you play the game. Nothing wrong there.
2. Agreed, same thing with RE5 Gold on XBOX 360. You know that Gearbox does not get $$$ from the resell of used games at GameStop, right? It is about money, my friend.
3. If the console dies, you should be able to re-download the DLC through XBOX live (for xbox consoles of course). Microsoft does allow you to re-download content if you delete it. I have done this with Arcade games and music videos. This should happen as well with the DLC from Borderlands. Sony, well that I don't know. Maybe call their 1-800#.
4. I think your scenario of wanting to play this game in multiple consoles at home is very unlikely for most people. I know this is a hassle, but just play the game in 1 console accessible to everyone. You know you can have multiple files (saves) with the same console.
5. I am not attacking people. I am just telling you how I see it. Don't like , don't buy, as simple as that. That way you will send a message to Gearbox.
