Borderlands GOTY edition 39.99 @ Gamestop.com

Game is great and a great value. Anyone who misses out because the DLC is not on disc is only hurting themselves.

Did your trade-in include the vouchers and the bonus map? I'm tempted to keep the map...

Edit: the actual paper vouchers even if you used them?

You traded them back in to GameStop? How much did they take?

The things I do by the way allow me to save much more money INSTEAD of blowing it all away by being less resourceful. For example

On Pay what you want games I always pay enough so i paid something but never nothing. Usually around .35 cents but on and yet it moves i paid 50 cents i think.

I'll keep some cables when returning consoles under warranty (wear and tear)

Got the xbox 360 hdmi cables 2 of them and a couple of ethernet cords.
Also the ps3 rechargable cord i got about 3 of them.

I can sell em all on ebay for 10 or 15$...depends.

At gamestop i'll beat aused game within 7 days and return it. I got like 3 or 4 gamestops in my city. So i go to different ones and switch em up frequently.

On best buy buy 2 get one free deals. I'll sell em all on ebay for a good 20-30$ profit.

Never donate to those charity's on ebay that claim (You can win a thousand dollars!)
If i were to donate at 10 cents a day thats 70 cents a week at 2.80$ a month. So I just donate a dollar every 7 purchases that way the ratio is much lower.

I bought batman arkham asyluim. Didn't open it. When i went to return it. I told the clerk it was the game of the year edition so she marked the refund under that. Extra 25$!
Now THATS cheapass GAMING

No, that's fraud. It's kind of illegal in the United States Of America.
I'm all for trying to get the best deals, but let's at least remain somewhat ethical.
What happens if your console dies, how do you reinstall the DLC? What happens if you have two consoles in your house, and want to install on both? You can't do it, and that's why people are complaining.
that's strange, because every time i've ever downloaded DLC from the Marketplace, i've always been able to re-download it free of charge if i ever needed to. is that not the case with these codes? i'm only asking because i don't want to have a problem if i switch from my Elite to a Slim...

This is true. I have multiple consoles and you simply select download again under your account that the code was registered on another machine.

I believe the primary complaints for DLC codes vs disk, is previous Game of the year you could install the DLC items on multiple accounts and consoles. If you recall the Fallout 3 and Oblvion GOTY, people were sharing the DLC disk (between friends and forums).

I must admit I was dissapointed with DLC code only as both my Son and I play on different consoles so the way they packaged this it wouldn't benefit us both with one purchase. However, I can see them moving in this direction due to the sharing issue they had previously.

One other item that I believe is correct, but have not researched further, is these DLC's are tied to an account. So if you install it on profile y, on system1, and you log on as profile X it does not have access to that DLC. Only profile y.

People are correct that these versions do tank the resale value, but obviously the developer never received a return on used sales so it was not in their interest to keep the previous method going.
