Borders: 40% off all DVD/Blu Box Sets AC Runs thru 23rd

The deal is appreciated, but Border's normal prices on this stuff is absolutely crazy to begin with.

Yeah what you said is true SDC, but certain things turn out to be good deals.

For instance, with the coupon, the boxset of Battlestar Galactica Season 4.0 should total up to $25.16. Not bad. That's using the online price, which I'm going to assume is the same price in store.
 
Thanks for the post. It takes a bit of hunting to find something to make the coupon work. It would be so much better if their instore prices are typically more than online.
 
Here's one example I found, assuming same prices in-store and online:

Jericho - Complete Series - $72 @ Borders. AC, it's $43.20, so tax figured in there, around $46-47.

Jericho - Complete Series - $46.49 @ Amazon, shipped and to my door.

So, that's a wash.
 
Also with Borders coupons if the title is already on sale, the coupon does not count against the sale price - only the original price. So in most cases you get prices worse than Amazon after tax with Borders coupons.
 
If you can find one in stock at a store, Battlestar Galatica: The Complete Series on Blu is 154.19 + tax with the coupon applied.

I'm not sure how you get that number. My calculations show it at $206 after coupon and before tax.

What, you don't think $342.99 is a reasonable price to pay for Battlestar Galactica on Blu-ray? ;)
 
This coupon is so great. Just used to to PM at Best Buy. Got the Berserk Complete Remastered Collection, which even with 40% off at Borders would still be nearly $30, which is the regular price at Best Buy. Neither the manager nor the employee even thought about checking, they just took 40% off their price without batting an eye, bringing it down to $18.

Now if only this coupon were good through the 25th so I could get the Devil May Cry blu box set down to below $30, so it'd be free when I PM the toys r us deal for Batman Arkham Asylum at Best Buy.
