Boy Meets World on DVD?

CAGiversary!
Is there anywhere online where I could find this for not-ridiculous price? I know they only put a few seasons out, but I grew up with this show and I would love to get whatever I could of it on DVD.

They DVD rights were sold a year or two ago, that is why the sets went OOP, watch tvshowsondvd.com for any news, for when the new buyer plans on releasing the series on dvd.

No, he's right, they only released one through three. There were plans for a fourth but it was cancelled. The sets went out OOP, another publisher bought the Home Video rights. The new publisher alluded to rereleasing the first three and finishing the series in 08 after the acquisition but nothing has been said since.

I got the first three seasons and then they stopped putting them on DVD. :( I would buy the rest of the series for sure if they ever came out on DVD.

Haven't seen one yet.. If anything, I would watch them on the internet if I can't seem to find a show on blu-ray or even dvd.

I'm glad I was able to get them used for about $30 each at the beginning of the year. Now that they are $75+ i'm tempted to sell.

Being such a huge fan of the series I purchased each set upon release. It really upset me that they only went up to volume 3. Almost as bad as Malcolm in the Middle only getting the season 1 release.

I think Shout! Factory has the right idea by allowing consumers to buy future seasons of a series directly from its Web site. That way it won't be competing with other companies for shelf space in stores like Best Buy or Walmart. And it will allow consumers to get new seasons of Mr. Belvedere, Ironside and others beginning in 2010 straight from the company.

This is a better alternative than the burn-on-demand stuff offered by Warner Bros. and Amazon.com.

At least this way you get official discs with packaging and artwork. The price may be close to the SRP, but at least you can own them.

If it is successful, just imagine the number of people who would pay to own complete music-intact episodes of Ed or The Wonder Years.

There's a bunch of dirty bootleggers and counterfeiters over at ioffer.com that sell these for real cheap. (nudge) They're jerks for bootlegging, though.

Will I not get in trouble for posting that since it was negative?

I may or may not have gotten the full series of The Wonder Years on there...

I don't understand why people buy from bootleggers. It's just as illegal to buy from them, as it is to just torrent it yourself.

Because burning mpegs/avis/whatevers and creating menus (and verifying that it all works correctly) from torrents is a pain in the ass. Surprisingly, some of these bootleggers do a really good job presentation-wise. I'm willing to pay them $20 for the time and effort it took them to make those DVDs. Yes, it is as illegal as torrenting them, but I can always claim I didn't know they were bootleg. And for the record, I didn't know ;).

If you want to spend your time converting files and burning them to DVDs by hand, be my guest. Or I guess these days media centers nullify the need for DVDs... back when I might've purchased those bootleg Wonder Years DVDs, the 360 wasn't out yet and most media centers were well out of my budget, so having a DVD of my favorite show was a must.
