CAGiversary!
I realized I was just getting frustrated. I've checked out a few gamefaqs and I still cant figure out what the hell is going on with the time-gimmick in level 5. Where your shadow pops out and looks at the ground; seems to be really inconistent in how the shadow behaves (which, I am assuming means I'm not doing it right). I played for about thirty minutes and I was ready to never play the game again. Last time I got this frustrated was while playing the first boss in Too Human.

Just frustrating in a not fun way. And I've really enjoyed Braid up until this point (and do want to finish it).

Can someone explain in laymans terms how the shit I am supposed to control my shadow?

Your shadow does whatever you do (did) For example, if you're standing still then you run to the right and jump on the head of a "goomba" then rewind to the point where you you were standing still, when you allow the game to go forward again, you'll see your shadow run and jump on the head of the "goomba". And yes, your shadow will kill the goomba.

That was perhaps the hardest level for me. After youtubing the solution for one of the puzzle pieces, I couldnt believe that someone even thought to do that. The solution was so esoteric (in my mind) that I'd have never passed it without the help.

I liked the slow-mo ring level tons more.

So, let me get this right/down... I pop out my shadown first? Then i run to the left. Then I rewind time, and then he runs to the left? Or do I pop the shadow out after i run? Damn, for some reason, I just was having the worst time with the controls last night (tried so many different things)...

So what is the deal with the shadow goombas?

That's encouraging that the next level is more fun. I keep hearing that the ending is really cool and I want to get through it.
