OK, here's the deal, I dont have enough room to put my Wii on my HDTV, so I have been playing it on a 20' flat screen, now the question is...are the s-video cables worth it? I remember back in the day S-video made a big difference on my PS2, but how about on the Wii?
 
S-video is a noticable improvement ofer the composite cables with mine, I can't imagine it not being an improvement for most people as long as your TV isn't a complete piece. The color and brightness calibrations might need to be redone after switching, but worth it.
