Bricked PSP?

My friend just got his PSP yesterday. It turned on for a couple of minutes (Just the light) and it turned off. Now, the light won't turn on at all. I have heard this before but I don't remeber what the exact problem it is. Is it bricked? What is the real problem? Thanks

Silly question, but did you charge it first?

Also, because of the position of the power/hold switch, I have accidentally put it to sleep or even turned it off a couple of times.

It coulda been that there was veeery little battery power left when the PSP was shut off. It will eventually drain itself if you leave it uncharged for a while.

Lol that sounded silly now read the question. This happend about 10 times now it wn't turn on at all. AC adapter plugged in.

Wow, that sucks. I don't know what the problem is, but I would just return it than.

press the light button for the screen. I just found out that it can turn the screen completely black, it worked for me

No light with AC adaptor plugged in can't be good. Return it.
