Brink $4.99 used on gamestop.com
I'd suggest using the $5 on a very cheap and nasty hooker instead.
^ this

or better yet avoid the STDs and just burn your $5

I actually enjoyed this game enough to beat it. I played through it with two of my friends and although the A.I is crap we had fun playing the game.

same, it reminded me of pre-online games like star wars battlefront as the "fake" multiplayer feel. Im sure its better then that $4 victorious game...!

Game of the Year, honestly. That game did so many things right. Unlike most games, it wasn't repetitive and the story was ACTUALLY good.

Hipster!

But seriously, anyone remember when you could get 2 of these for free shipped from GameFly?

Is it only me but I fail to see any deal in this thread.

Thanks anyway OP.

When this is 5c, I'll take a chance on it.
I think this is the worst PS3 game I played.
Well get ready cause were going to start finishing that game up. I'm almost finished the challenges then start working on Platinum. Unless your going to pass? I think gettinmoney was just waiting for me to get the guns and all attachments.

Play more PS3 games cause there are games way worse than Brink.

i got two copys of this game during that epic gamefly glitch for free (which i thankfully flipped) and i still felt dirty lol. one of if not the most hated game of this gen of consoles for me. when i played this turd it felt like my unborn children were being punished

I normally don't bad-mouth games that make it down to this price point, but I couldn't even justify buying this game when it was $5 for a new copy.

Brink is not worse than Duke. Kind of humorous is that I have both Duke Nukem and Brink platinum but Brink was the better game. Unfortunately, plan on spending about 25 hours to platinum it. Towards the end it is just such a grind to get the last levels to 20 or in my case 24 because of the Agents of Change DLC.

My best suggestion is play the game online when you play through it. That will provide all the levels plus you get the Tough as Nails achievement. I doesn't matter if there aren't people online to play with, the computer will fill in the spots.

Do all the 3 star challenges on a brand new character. Everything they unlock will be available for all your characters and this way the AI stays really crappy as well. If you are level 1 the AI is level 1.

Realize that your teammates are also at your level throughout the game. Basically they suck at the beginning, you will need to do all the work including completing most of the objectives. Once you get to level 15 they will do almost everything if you can keep the enemy away from them. When I played through it with a friend we basically spawn camped the enemy or setup in choke points. We would setup turrets and we both had the Light machine gun (chizznor???). When we did this the AI would take care of the rest of the objectives.

When you get to the end and you have all the trophies except for the one for reaching level 20 then play Container City on Easy in Stopwatch mode. Set the time to 30 minutes and be on the resistance side. You should be able to keep the enemy from even completing the first objective (blow up the gate) because the enemy immediately goes into a choke point where you can cut them down with a Light Machine gun or Assault Rifle. You are also getting bonus points because you are protecting the objective. I could average 18,000-25,000 xp per round on that map. For comparison level 23-24 was about 55,000 xp. So basically it would take about 1.5 hours to do that level alone.

Anyways that is my information on Brink. Is it great? Absolutely not. Is it good? Meh. Is it worth $5 if you want to get a really easy platinum and are willing to grind it out? Yes

I 100% absolutely think Duke was better than Brink, haha. The only way...ONLY WAY...Brink would be a semi-decent game is if you had a bunch of friends to play with. I played enough to get 610/1000 and stopped. Basically I played long enough so I could get a huge amount of credit back at Amazon, lol. Between the credits I got (they actually sent me extra) and what I got for trading it back in I was actually paid about $15 to play it.

Even at that, I wouldn't recommend it unless like I said, you have enough friends to basically fill up each team or at least enough to play against the AI as a team. A lot of great ideas that were terribly executed.

I do remember! I also remember trading both free copies to target for $20 credit during that promo they had a while back. Actual trade in value was 10 cents, lol! :bouncy:

Brink is like if Team Fortress 2 had an embarrassing little brother that was always following it around and trying to be just like it, except the little brother wasn't potty trained and kept crapping his pants in front of all of TF2's friends.

BTW it's $4.49 with PUR in store.
