Alarmed, you are the fuckin man! ;) preach on brotha!! i've always wondered about the whole "XL screen resolution debacle"... but now because of all the great people on this site, and your great enthusiasm.. its clear to me the DSI XL is the way to go.

I found a Bronze XL for $80. They had a burgundy one too, but I think the cashier was going to buy it for his son when he saw the price.

I found a Blue DSi at a different store for $70. The lady got snippy when I wouldn't buy their crap RadioShack DS case.
 
I picked an XL up from RadioShack in Freehold, NJ for $79.97. I'm not a big fan of the color, but for $80 I couldn't pass it up. It was a display model, so I can't flip it as New for another color though...
 
Wow, 2 people picked up $80 DSi XLs TODAY from a month old thread? Guess I'll have to go hit up a few stores tomorrow. Not expecting to find one but my wife has a birthday coming up and I'm a cheap bastard, otherwise I wouldn't be here. I'll report my findings, or lack thereof, tomorrow.

Well it will probably not be a surprise to anybody but 3 Radioshacks in Suffolk county had exactly zero Dsi of any kind, though they did carry the 3DS.
I may try 2 more in NAssua tomorrow, I'm only reporting here if I find any, but I doubt it.

First off, a HUGE "thank you" to the OP! Was able to get the very last DSi XL (bronze) at a Radio Shack in east Portland, OR today. Still marked on the shelf at $169.99. The gal working there nearly fainted when it rang up for $79.97, over half off of their marked price!

So, don't give up hope, all you who are still hoping for this deal! They are still out in the wild!

Thank you from me as well. After reading about it here, I decided to try the Radio Shack a few blocks away hidden near a grocery and a few banks. They had a single Bronze XL on clearance at $79.99, and now they have none.

Hahahah Where are they located? I walked in and right away the guy was like "Oh, uh, Hello what are you looking for?"
I told him nintendo ds. He says "Uh, well actually we are out" lol. Okay, there was two of them working. Noone in the store. Amazing.
 
I went to the Plainfield, CT store. You're definitely right though. The 2 working at my store were also a bit surprised seeing a customer, lol.
