Brothers in Arms PS2/XB 29.99 3/27 BB
There was absolutely zero hype in magazines and TV on it. I knew of it, and I bought it the day it came out. I enjoy it. I'm currently being barricaded by Nazis in a panzer in a farmhouse, which sucks, so I haven't played it in a few days. The Live play is the opposite of kick ass, mainly because there's hardly anyone playing. I've started seeing commercials. Don't get me wrong - I love the game, hell, I even have a five foot BiA standee.. there was just no hype in magazines and TV. As Birbo said, most of the gamers "in the know" knew about it, but your average joe in college or high school knew nothing of it.
Yeah, the internet sites definately gave this game more love than the printed stuff. I've got about 4 chapters left in the campaign. I'm not aware of how many are playing on LIVE, cause I've only played with 3 friends i personally know. It's strategic and intense. I'm not sure how long it will last though. With SC:CT coming, a lot of the strategy people will hop all over that (including me). In the meantime, my gt is psychobrawler if you ever want to play.

As far as the price drop, ubisoft has already said they're working on a sequel for holidays. I'm guessing they want as many people to get ahold of this as possible to understand how great it is, that way the next one can launch to more hype.

And Scorch, like the new avitar... Going to see NIN in Chicago on May 7th, one week after the new CD.
I saw that Gamestop has the PC version of Brothers in Arms for $34.99 new
Gamestop Brothers in Arms

I haven't checked around for a lower price but thought I would post this in case someone was interested.
Oooh, thanks for the heads up on that. I might price match that and then use some of my Reward Zone certificates to get the game for like $15...

On a side note, Trust -- if you do get a chance to confirm the deal, can you check about the PC version at BB as well?
Brothers In Arms is already in the clerance section at my Target!
Not...

This is one of those Chicken Little and Peter & the Wolf moments, "the prices are falling, the prices are falling..."

Well OXM at least gave it something like a 9.6 I think. Going to rent this tonight to check the game out since this sounds like a really hard to beat deal.

This game seems too cheap to pass up... I don't think I can pass on this deal.

The only problem is that I did something similar for Ghost Recon 2 (XB) when it first came out last year. It was only $29.99 but I still haven't opened it, as it has remained sealed for the last 3-4 months! Maybe I should keep the money in my pocket instead.

I knew this might be a good game, but I simply didn't feel like ever playing it. Maybe it had something to do with buying many games on or near release and being horribly let down. Now that it is going to be cheap and is seemingly drawing constant praise, I will buy this even though I just plopped down a large chunk of cash for Chaos Theory.

I know what you mean. I am sitting on so many games like that. Although getting a newly-released game for $30 sounds like a good deal, but if they are not going to be played for 3-4 monthes, maybe it's better to wait for a price-drop to $20 and then get it with a GGC for $15. Of course, there are exceptions like Atlas/Working Designs games or first party GC games that you might have to wait for at least a year before you see any price drop.

Do yourself a favor and get BIA now! Also open GR2, that game rocks and there are two downloads available already.

I'm all on this. I've only heard good things about this game. This whole "sale" thing reminds me of what happened with BG&E.

I have this game, got it at GR for $34.99 with the preorder deal. The offline was very good, but the online is blah. No replay value 2 me i'm trading it in as soon as i pick up another cheapo game to trade in with it so i can do the $30 preorder. GR still gives $35, asked yesterday.

did it drop or is this just a sale, because if it is a sale i will get it this week, if it is a drop i will wait a week or two until i get an extar 25-30 dollars.

You guys would have to wait until Monday to buy BIA because I think Best buy is closed on easter sunday.

It's just a sale. With the great reviews and brisk sales so far for this title, it will be a $50 game for many months to come.

Perhaps, but even a sale at $30 this early is a sign of something.

I went to Best Buy today and the deal is indeed true. I paid $20+tax with the use of the GGC and $5 reward zone card. Just started playing and this game rules.

picked this up in cerritos BB, they had 4 ps2 copies left and 1 xbox left, 24.99 after GGC, gonna go to gamerush later on for 40 bux after trade in 3 get extra 5 deal.
i got it today at bb for 26.74 at GGC and tax. it is a very good game, especially since it was essentially 50% off.
Ditto here, though it was $1.64, due to the $25 gift card I picked up this past week for my birthday. :D Didn't want to let this one slip by, so I went tonight to get it.

It's DEFINATELY worth this price. Single player is very enjoyable. Haven't played multi yet as I want to get farther in the campaign first - brush up on my skills.

Went to CC today and had them pricematch ad so I got it for $27.99. Now it will go on the pile of unplayed games. I just couldn't resist it at this price. Thanks OP.

Yeah I know, but BB is an hour from my house and CC is only 15 min. so I would have payed more for it with the high gas prices these days. I wish BB was closer.

Plus gas costs for the 45 minute trip.

Picked mine up on Monday as I couldn't pass it up for that price. Been playing the single player campaign and it is awesome. Really captures the feel of the Band of Brothers series and has great gameplay. Haven't gone online with it yet. Wish it had online co-op.

Don't pass this one up if you're on the fence at all. Great game for a great price. Thanks for the early heads up OP.

This seems pretty tempting, especially since I have a $20 BB gift card with nothing to spend it on.

How hard is this game on a scale of 1-10, on the easiest mode (if it's selectable)?

Thanks guys!

got mine...first time using the GGC. no problems other than a prolonged and somewhat confusing process at checkout (for the cashier). i had to spell it out what i wanted done. put 24.99 on the card via debit card and pay the $2 tax with cash. other than that nice price for a fairly new game. thanks CAG.

I gave in to temptation and ended up picking this up at BB on Tuesday... too cheap to pass up... Doesn't seem as hard as Call of Duty.

That Lego Star Wars seems tempting for the 2-player co-op. Too many games!
i just bought this game from gamerush and it is awesome! i love how you have to think things over before you move in for the kill.
How much from GR?
