I think thats the name of the game, there was like a 100 levels and every 10 or 20 levels was a boss, and you were this creature that shot loads of bubbles out. I'm looking for the GB version, I need to get over my fear of this game. I used to have so many nightmares we thought I had to see a pyschiatrist. I just saw a ebay auction for the one on gba and it reminded me of the terrible times.

Yes thats what its called, Bubble Bobble. I cant begin to tell you how terrible that dream was. If I remmber correctly, you were timed within that game. When the time ran out this little ghost dude would speed across the screen and this eerie music would play, its so scary 
As far as I know, the original NES version is the only good version. GB and other portable ports don't fit the whole thing on the screen so there's side-scrolling. But I guess if you don't have an NES, it doesn't matter which version you get.
I'm still hoping Bubble Bobble Revolution for DS will be able to match the resolution of the original game in the classic mode, but it probably won't.
