BULLSHIT (I am referring to thread "what systems do you own")

I am sure there's a lot of kettle-painting going on all up in this thread.
Cause Banky is curious .. like a cat. I guess that's why his friends call him Whiskers. HEY! If the moon was made of ribs, would you eat it? He would. He'd wash it down with a tall, cool Budweiser.
Hey Maklershed, if you had the choice to the top scientist in your field or get Mad Cow disease, which would you pick?
I'm curious how games look regular vs the DVDO upscaler. I'm getting a regular Xbox soon to pimp out and make a rombox and this is interesting to me.
Me as well, since I play a lot of N64 on my flatscreen. The picture is real blurry and there is some motion-lag. My Phillips DVD player upconverts via HDMI, I wonder if I hooked up my N64 to the DVD player if the picture would improve....

Wow, I Google this guy's gamertag to see if I can ask him where I might be able to find a certain arcade jamma board and the fighting games for it and this is what I find(I'm not mentioning it just in case it might interest anyone else and slim my chances of finding one, lol).

The user you know as Praystation used to shop at my store, I managed a Game Crazy that went out of business near where he lives, he's actually a pretty cool guy. I'm not the type to post anywhere, but you guys have it all wrong. Who else do you know that offers to GIVE you a Sega Saturn after a few days of hanging out with you talking about games, it was probably less time than that. I turned him down when he invited me to see his collection while I was working there because I was busy. Oh, and he has a girlfriend. There is a language barrier there, its not his first language, he's just excited about games and wants to share that excitement. I declined his offer for the SS since I didn't need any more to collect.

Anyways, I can tell you from personal experience and as a person with a collection that is easily 3 times larger than his with an extensive set of rare games(nothing like NWC carts), he's not trying to virtual e-cock any of you...

...and its quite tough to think up a clean setup when you constantly collect games, I've revised in my head my perfect set up a few times already over my many years of collecting and have only recently had the time(unemployed now) to make it a reality, but have been thinking about making a supergun and buying arcade PCBs. Collecting is a slippery slope, you're never satisfied, let him be proud of his collection. With that said though, anyone else have any pictures of their game collections?

Hi Praystation

Look at my collection!
full-20earth2.jpg

It's there somewhere.

@Logg No sir, I assure you we are not the same person, but I do find it funny that I set up an account and take the time to write a post to defend this guy who I've met in real life and all you need to do is post 2 words to make me regret doing so, you win, lmao! :whistle2:#

Nice guy in real life or not, look at the thread title and OP-- it's like he's begging to get trashed and nitpicked. And the fact that there's a whole other thread dedicated to discussing what you own. But praystation decided his collection was too awesome for that thread and that everyone who wasn't taking pics of their set up was a liar.

Most of my systems are in my closet or in boxes, I pull them out when I need them.

I've been meaning to get some stands to set them all up nicely and permanently but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Also, managing all those cables is a real bitch. I've been planning out how to do it for a while now.

The crowd here would be more impressed with stories of how you acquired stuff cheaply, but that is a nice setup. I'll probably take a different approach than the video processors, I have a spare HD CRT that can do all that shit natively, two TV's might be a little much though.

You have some good games but presentation is just as important when it comes to collecting. Next time instead of dropping big cash on a video game buy some better storage. And take off those nasty Gamestop stickers. For someone so passoinate about collecting why would you leave them on?

Me too. I like my living room to look clean and presentable. If I ever get my own personal game room then I'll invest in nice selves.

To be honest, his setup really isn't THAT bad considering it looks like he has playable access to most of those systems.

Although with as much time and effort as you likely have put into such a collection, yeah, invest in a nice cabinet/storage system!
I turned him down when he invited me to see his collection
That might have been the single-most best decision you have ever made. Ever hear of Jeffrey Dahmer?

What about Gacy? I personally think he fits better into this scenario considering the fact that he raped young men.
^ Awesome stuff, what games do you have in that 4-Slot Neo Geo?
I have only a few MVS games.

World Heroes
World Heroes 2
Fatal Fury
Fatal Fury 2
Samurai Showdown
Baseball Stars
Shock Trooper
Metal Slug 3
Bust a Move.

I don't know many other people with a TI99/4... I wonder where my stack of games got to, they never made it into my pics.

Have you tried any of the following systems with that Video Processor?

1. Famicom/Nes
2. Turbo Duo
3. Saturn
COmpare to this one when I moved in a month ago:

Good thing the power socket didn't burst in flame. I am now using a BackUPS
Good thing you changed your set-up; that was a little excessive. I could've jumped in and wrapped myself in wires and been perfectly preserved under a cartridge pyramid for 500 years. ;)
Instead of posting a bunch of pics (which I'm too lazy to do), here's a link to my room...

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2038122&id=1170907465&l=e20c3c98b9

It's about 3,500 games right now and at least 75+ consoles/computers.
Brian you have a lot of shit, man. I seriously hate it for you when it comes time to move. I had to move recently and it was a huge pain in the ass packing all my games/systems/toys, and I don't have nearly the amount of crap you do.

Wow both collections are very nice. I dont know why everyone shit on the first guy. I have a very similar collection and the only reason mine doesn't look so messy is because I've spread the consoles out room by room. Living room being all next gen systems, with a few other systems like original xbox ps2 etc. master bedroom a 2nd WII for Netflix and a few games that dont take much motion haha and stuff like gamecube ps1 etc, and the 3 spare bedrooms are randomly hooked up with things from atari - nes- snes- sega etc on 32" TV's and I do have a game room FINALLY but thats all for stand up arcade games/mames etc. I used to try and put it all in my living room but it's a cluttered mess plus guests didnt have any random games to play (not that they usually do) but nothing like going to a friend/family members house and being able to bust out some pong or donkey kong or Mario before bed haha. But the 2nd collection...WOW. Just a few arcade games away from being heaven.

oh and about getting laid with a room like that? ha it doesnt matter if you've got 1 video game system over 50 if you've got game it doesn't matter if you game. I've never had a problem getting laid with more games than a teenage asian kid. I wont say women weren't ever put off by my systems etc. but at the end of the night it has nothing to do with the size of your collection haha. But a quick tip I wouldn't sugguest someone bring a girl/woman over thinking your collection will get you laid :)

This is about 1/4 of my collection. I just keep out stuff I play and have the rest boxed up. Like the ps1 games pictured are about 1/4 of the total I have, I just kept out the ones I like to go back and play on occasion.

Have some more in the garage loft with my systems I need to get down and organize sometime soon but was to lazy to take pics.
