Our website, BumsCorner.com, is running a contest this summer, and we're giving away a ton of stuff!

To enter does require registration on the site, and posting in our forums, but we're giving points for every post, and the points can be used towards the raffles. The prizes include:

Copy of Jade Empire for XBox
Copy of Forza Motorsport for XBox
7 PC Games from Merscom (split into two raffles)
5 DVDs (in 1 raffle)
Misty Mundae prize package (including sweatshirt, t-shirt, posters, and a limited edition numbered DVD).
11 DVD collection (including autographed copies!)

I didn't even realize, that's cool that a fellow Ohioan is doing something cool like this. It seems like everybody else in the damn state (well...city, I'm from Cleveland) hasn't even heard of "video games," or only plays Halo and/or GTA.

That's so not true. We're right here playing RIVIERA and Shin Megami Tensei!

(Toledo is cooler anyway.)
 
Well, that's good. But I mean, I did the ilovebees Halo 2 viral campaign and there was a place very near me to get the discs at the end. There were 3 other people there. THREE. Other places ran out, we all got 2 even though that was a big no-no.

I guess I should restate that they play video games (mostly crappy ones though, the ones that nearly everybody plays), but they don't know a single thing about the industry or community.

There are some Ohioans out there that game, but usually they keep it quiet. If Governor Taft found out we had disposible income to waste on games, he'd tax the beejeezus out of them.
 
We cranked up the amount of credits for posts last night, just to make the raffle more interesting.

So far we have a couple console games, a bunch of PC games, DVDs and some movie memorabilia up for grabs (and may have more prizes to add in the coming weeks).

We'd love it if some people from the CAG community win some of this stuff!
 
While I was out of town over the weekend I had some of the DVDs in the contest autographed...just to sweeten the pot!

Does anyone know of any other past Video games and prizes that have been giving away before, and how often are games and stuff are given away on the site?

This is our 3rd (and biggest) contest

Previously, a CAG (Radjago) won our first contest - some Halo 2 swag, and we gave away a Million Dollar Baby DVD during the Oscars.

The current contest we're running is going to be our big one for a while (which is a ton of stuff to give away IMO) - but we are going to run some smaller contests every couple of months. It looks like the next two are going to be movie & TV related swag, but I'd love to set up a CAG only contest sometime on our site, maybe the next time we get some gaming related prizes in.

Yeah, thanks again for the swag. What your site/community lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality. New reviews seem to be up every day and I swear I see a contest up about once a month.
