Burnout 3 $19.99 Target B&M
I played it online today, it's a blast but everybody is british :O Then I found that you can change lobbies and I went into the U.S. lobbies and they were empty. There are plenty of british people to play with, but a lot of them don't take too kindly to americans so beware...
Try playing with the French on there.. they really hate americans.. yes much of it is british.. but you can luck into some Americans (i notcie they like to play starting around 10 PM-3 AM EST time) and also try to get in on the Prime time live events (if you're on xbox anyways) they usually have more americans on.. but regardless you can play the single player forever.. the only problem i have with the single player.. is the rubberband AI (thats when they'll catch up to you really fast when you are way ahead and you'll catch up to them really fast if you are behind).. good for beginners but that should be able to be turned off for more experience people.

I had a horrible time with French people when I went online. They were really trying to rip on me for being an American. BUt in the end they were still French....

And they've never had any true military victories. Just one that ended in a tie. Just try googling french military victories and clicking on I'm Feeling Lucky.
burnout3 hasnt droped yet at the target off of lakeworth RD. I couldnt find it for the xbox., didnt even have a spot for it. I found it under PS2. 39.99:roll:
The ones I have seen are off to the side here in NC. (not in the locked glass case)

They were at the end of an aisle in the bargain-like rack, along with copies of The Hobbit and the Platinum Hits titles.
In my opinion, custom soundtracks really make the XBOX version preferable. I usually use my computer playlist when playing this type of game, but the way Burnout 3 integrates your music into the game is really great.

Oh and more importantly, the XBOX triggers work a lot better then the PS2's shoulder buttons. The XBOX triggers give you pedal-like analog control and work really well for a game like this.

And I can't confirm since I haven't actually played the PS2 version, but I'm just assuming the XBOX one just plays smoother since it is a very graphically intensive game.
I have both versions and I prefer the PS2 version simply for the comfort of using the PS2 controller over Xbox. In case you are wondering, the PS2 version does not use the shoulder button to accelerate, it uses the x button. The shoulder button is used for the boost. This control scheme is nicer in that it really saves me the strain on my index finger since on the xbox version I am constantly have to hold the trigger button down. The strain of constantly holding the trigger button on the xbox version is felt after ten minutes of play. I use the wireless logitech xbox controller.

Target @ UNCC/University area has a couple more in stock.. probably about 5 more.

When this deal was first posted, they were fresh out -- none in the clearance area, none in the case.

So, it's worth checking back to see if they get any more in stock.

If it helps any, they didn't have them priced @ the university location and they were inside the glass case.

Lynwood, WA had a few copies for both systems today, although the Xbox version was in a row on the bottom shelf, might be easy to miss unless you were specifically looking for it.
I almost bought a copy, but no employees seemed to be around. I guess I'm a littl glad because I beat it on xbox a few months back, so it would be a little pointless to do it again. I'll save my money for the new one that's coming out.

"Got it for Xbox ($20) in Federal Way, Washington today. They had a few copies. Still not too late for y'alls."

I went and picked one up at the same location today. They still had like 5 left. Its been a while since I went to Target so I forgot they moved it to the mall. I was like WTF why aren't there any cars here then I remembered it got moved. I also noticed they had THUG2 for $20. I'm sure its been mentioned before but I don't feel like reading to see if someone else said it. So just in case I thought I would mention it for people that might be interested.

A Target in a mall, that crazy. Is it small or what?
A Target in a mall, that crazy. Is it small or what?
There are two Targets here that are in malls. Both have two separate entraces - one in the mall and one outside. These Targets are open regular hours - when the mall closes, they just close the mall entrance.

Both have two floors and adjacent to the escalator there's an escalator specifically designed for carts - just roll your cart in it and it will go up or down with you. With both floors, the size equals out to the size of a Target with only one floor.

I believe both were formerly Montgomery Wards - Target bought a lot of their stores when they went out of business. That being said, I'm assuming a majority of mall Targets were former Wards stores.

The Target here is the same way, except it is attached to the mall and is HUGE. It's only one floor but was added on to the mall last year or so. It's one of the biggest Targets I've been in.

The Targets in Richmond have now marked it down -- it is not clearanced, but marked down as the Greatest Hits version is coming out soon.

Any xbox ones around or just ps2? Its a bit of a hike for me.

Just got back from my local Target, after weeks of not finding this for the XB only to see one copy left in the case... score!

Been waiting to get my own cop0y of this for a while... this is one racing game I love to play

For those in Vegas - the Target out in Summerlin has 3 copies of the Xbox version left and probably 10 or so copies of the PS2 version left.

I grabbed an Xbox copy on an impulse buy. I'm not a real big fan of Burnout. But for $20 I'll give it another try and see if maybe I didn't give it a fair chance the first time.

picked one up in NJ - appeared as if someone was trying to hide it, as it was mixed in with a stack of copies of zelda:windwaker...i mean come on, a green box in the midst of black ones?! it was crying out for attention :)

it couldnt have been a CAG - you're all smarter than that

thx op :D

in vegas-
craig and clayton has like 10 copies xbox
meadows and decatur about 8 copies xbox

glad BO3 dropped to 20$ cuz i was seriously thinking of getting burnout 2
$20 is a steal for Burnout 3.

(yeah, not too surprising to read that from someone with a Burnout 3 avatar and sig, huh? )
Nice sig. Oh, and avatar.

You should still get Burnout 2. It's great, and it's different enough that you will be missing out if you never play it.

Only seen the PS2 one. I am certain there will be a PS2 restock with a Greatest Hits label at some point, and I can't imagine that MS won't move it to the Platinum Hits label, but no XBox that I saw.

I would suggest calling ahead -- the store I finally saw it in was the Virginia Center Commons store on Rt. 1.
