They would not sell it to me at Gamestop... the price did not match the price on the game. They looked at it sort of weird and said they would need to hold it until they find out if it's a legit price drop in the system or a mistake.
I agree that the employees of this store are bullshitting you, they probably wanted it for themselves and screwed you out of a copy. When Dragon Quest 8 dropped to 20 bucks I went to a GS and asked for a copy and stated I beleive it had dropped to 20 bucks, the guy knew nothing of the price drop and checked it on the computer to be sure and with a suprised look on his face fetched the game without argument and told one of the other guys the price had dropped and that he'd be looking to buy his own real soon.
The thing I like about it most is the Crash mode. On top of the races are these 100 mini games that are great for quick plays.
As for the load times, 15 seconds for innitially loading a track, half that for a restart. EA has always sucked with load times and they always will probably because they want to preload all that expensive licenced music, but these load times are a bit easier to accept that the console versions to a slight degree.
Visibility is pretty good though understandable sometimes you might find it hard to see that semi bareing down on you, comming the opposite way at 200 MPH untill the last second sometimes. It's pretty bright, they didn't have all the lighting effects to deal with in the PS2 versions so it's clearer. As for comparing it to Burnout 3, it's more a compilation than
just B3. There are tracks from the first 3 games as well as Crash stages (though I think most are from B3)
My 2-cent: 30 fps is perfectly adequet, it's the standard visual range. When it drops BELOW that is when it's visually unplesant. while it does happen it is rare, If you have a problem with 30 frames then it's more a personal preferance than a lack of inteligence (or even masculinity) You dont like 30 fine don't play it but dont expect others to share such a minor complaint.
