The plot envisioned a ghastly replay of the attack that brought down the World Trade Center, only this time the terrorists wanted to crash a plane into the tallest building in Los Angeles. The plan unraveled in early 2002 with the arrest of one of the ringleaders, but President Bush provided new details about it Thursday in defending his handling of the war on terrorism.

Pimp out that terror Mr president!!!

funniest thing that most news articles fail to mention is that he called it the "Liberty Building" instead of Library Building. btw they have a Mccormick and Schmits in there with a very nice happy hour :D mmm fish sticks.

I'm sure you'd be much happier with 10,000 dead Americans. Or am I being charitable. I'm sure with 100,000 dead Americans you might be able to impeach him!

Pleaes al Qaeda, kill us all, rid us of that nasty President Bush.

It's a shame that it wasn't an attack focused on San Francisco.

Had Bush prevented SF from being attacked, I can reasonably hypothesize that we'd see the first time that his rabidly obtuse fanbase finds that they're pissed off at him. We'd at least have seen Bill O'Reilly encounter an "aw, shucks" moment if Bush managed to keep the Coit tower from falling.

We're not? I'd love to hear why we should believe a message post from someone called Metal Boss over all sensory evidence.

If Bush had a role in saving the Gay Mecca, maybe they would desert the democratic party and stop being vote fodder that the democrats can abandon during every presidental race. The 'obtuse' religious right aren't going to desert him for saving human lives.

Between this and Katrina, I'd say the left has their base shored up for a number of years to come.

Wait, so homosexuals should support a group that actively works against them? Whatever you want to say about democrats they're not ones (as a whole anyway) working to take away their rights.
