Buy 1 Get 1 Free all PO games $14.99 and under at Blockbuster

Gamerguy

CAGiversary!
I unpacked a bunch of signage at my store today, and there's a BOGO sale going on for all "previously played" games $14.99 and under. Sale starts 6/26 and ends 7/17.

There's a list of "featured games" I received from corporate, but the selection varies by store. Everything $14.99 and under works, across all platforms. Of course, you pay for the more expensive one.

Additionally, there's a buy two get two free sale on all the "previously viewed" DVDs. It's really not that great of a sale: we had a 3 for 20 sale a couple weeks ago that was a lot better.

I can't say for sure, but I would assume that GameRush would be running the promo too because we're technically the same store. Call ahead to ask. We'll know for sure by tomorrow. All of the signage was supposed to go up in the stores tonight. My Blockbuster made a huge bargain bin with all our eligible games.
Any games of worth?
Go back and read the first post again. All the details are there.;)

I'll check out my BB tomorrow. I don't think I've been there in... years! I'm glad I decided to check out the deals section before I went to bed. I'm sure there won't be much for 2 games for $7.50 + tax each might be worth it for some games.

I'm going to be broke faster than I thought. Yesterday (the 25th) it was the $9.98 clearance and B2G1F on DS game at TRU... and today, it'll be Blockbuster. What's tomorrow? Wal-Mart actually lowering their prices to something less than retail?!:whistle2:O:lol:

I hear ya...this is turning into a bad month for my wallet. #-o

whoa. ALL previously viewed movies? thats a way better deal if it includes the $14.99 titles.

I know the 3 for $20 deal did, and I think that might still be going on in some places.

The 3 for $20 included $14.99 titles, so B2G2 would be 4 for $30, which isn't as good.

Well as my experience as a Blockbuster employee, the good titles are extremely YMMV, I haven't seen any signs yet due to me working only on weekends. But this deal sucks compared to the buy 2 get 1 free deal on pre-played games.

For 14.99 and under the best you can do is really old previous gen games, sports games, and if you lucky some PSP games. I can't garantee any miracles since the majority depends on what each stores recieved as trade-ins.

The sale is a go, though neither of the Gamerush stores I checked had signs up advertising it.

I don't have a PS2 or Xbox, and their selection for the GBA and GC was crap at best. That said, I did find a Japanese copy of F-Zero: Maximum Velocity and Mega Man Battle Network 3 White, and got both for $10. :)

My Blockbuster had the sale going on but had very little. I'm amazed at what happened... last time I went they had tons of games for sale. But now they're down to a 70 games or so.

I did find a copy of Red Ninja for the PS2 and Xenosaga II. They were enclosed in the plastic case so I couldn't see if the manual was included or not. But it was only $14.99 so I was just said whatever and picked them up. Red Ninja did have the manual but Xenosaga II did not.

Oh well, I'm kinda glad this sale was a flop. I can't spend anymore money as it is.

$14.99 and under?? That creates some notable limitations...damn. I want the next B2G1.

Those looking for Xbox 360 games are SOL. Those pricks raised all of their 360 games that were $14.99 (XBLA Unplugged, King Kong, Lego Star Wars II) to $16.99 (presumably just to ensure that they couldn't be used in this deal).

Bastards!

YMMV of course, but I just went to my Blockbuster and saw that Lego Star Wars was 16.99, but figured I'd give it a shot anyway paired with Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando for 14.99. The guy rang them both up at first, but when I asked about the sale, he looked up at the sign, apologized, and then charged me fifteen and change for both of them. To recap, not only did he give me the deal on a game over 14.99, but then he only charged me for the 14.99 one and gave me the 16.99 game for free.

That cashier.....ROFL :rofl::newbie:

I honestly think the only games my BB has for sale, $14.99 and under that is, are The Hobbit for PS2 and The Hobbit for X-Box.

Color me excited!

We have 1 really well ran GS in Tulsa and one very poorly ran GS. They both have there pluses and minus. the poorly ran one has som rare finds as everything is so un organized you can dig up weird games in the wrong bins.
my blockbuster's 360 prices are all rediculous. They have Saints Row and NBA 2k7 used for 45 bucks.
Have them scan them. A lot of Blockbusters fail to update the prices on the boxes. I think Saints Row is $24.99 now. Not sure about NBA 2k7.

just came back from blockbuster only to have some ghetoo manager tell me "naw man i aint hurda dat"

Jesus, the games Ive been wanting for sooo loooonnggg...Is there any proof i can print out for him?

Yeah, maybe Gamerguy could scan the signs for us? please man?

and the 2 i absolutely had to have were oddworld and pikmin 2...but pikmin 2 was 16 bucks, think i can get lucky?

Im also looking at Ultimate spiderman for 10, rugby 06 for 7, and a handful more. This might make up for Kmart being empty. :p

It requires them to scan a barcode. It all shipped in the store POP maps that were released yesterday for activation today. Anyone who doesn't know about it that works there isn't doing their job because it's supposed to be a national sale.

To confirm the above posts, yes, I was told to mark all the Xbox 360 POGs (previously owned games) to $16.99 about a week ago. I didn't know about this sale then, but I assume that it was indeed done to prevent 360 games from being eligible.

That said, find a dumb employee who scans the $14.99 or less one first, and theoretically, you can get any pre-owned game for free if it gets scanned second.

Now let's hope no honest employee/manager is reading this thread to figure out the bug lol

Bastards!
Yesterday, when I did my successful GR-to-GC credit transfer, I went back that night to my local GR. They had 2 old ladies working in the games section. One was putting games back into their security boxes and the other was taking them out (probably to re-sticker?). This GR was a mess so I figured they were organizing, not upping prices for the sale. Wow, that sucks.

edit... They must've changed their stickers last night. All the 360 Arcade Unplugged games that I got yesterday afternoon were still stickered as $14.99, but rang up as $16.99. The lady adjusted my total and gave them to me for their stickered price.

They should change their name from blockbuster to ballbuster

^ doubt it. never seen ANY in my store. hell, i remember when they stopped renting GBA games.

Man, i REALY wanted to get some stuff from there. Where else can I find Pikmin 2 AND Oddworld for 14.99 total?
Are there many DS games below $15?
I can check in the next few days. I did remember seeing a few new DS games for $14.99 or less. The only one I can remember right now is True Swing Golf for $9.99.

Got Syphon Filter & Exit. The first game scanned at 14.99 then when the cashier scanned the 2nd one it rang up as 0. The cahsier was unaware of the promo so he scanned teh first title again to charge me for the 2nd game. I told him that it should be BOGO and he scanned a barcode next to his computer and apologized and adjusted accordingly.
What's blockbuster's return policy on used games? I've never bought from them before.
From the sticky in Request A Video Game Deal and the CAG wiki: http://wiki.cheapassgamer.com/index.php/List_of_store_return_policies

Blockbuster

Thanks Op, cleared out out my credit from the Blitz-The League for $25.00(still at $25.00). I was able to get the following

NBA PSP-$7
Clock Tower 3-Free
Lego SW-Original TRilogy-PSP-$15
Lego SW-ORiginal Trilogy-XB360-Free-Fluke, was mispriced at $15, so they gave it to me at that price
Ultimate G&Ghosts-PSP$15
NFL Street 2 Unleashed-PSP-Free
MX Vs ATV:pSP-$10
Resident Evil 0-GC-Free
Fatal Frame 2-Xbox-$15
Kingdom Hearts 2-Free
GTA LCS-PSP-$15
Firefighter FD 18-Free
Crazy Taxi 3-XBOX-$7
Advent Rising-XBOX-Free
Most of the games were in great condition. This was in the Escondido-East Location, and they had a huge amount of games for the PSP left...Thanks Again

I should check this out on Friday when I get paid, since I'm sure by now my local TRU is OOS of many of the $9.98 titles, though I'm not sure I wanted many of them anyway.

Maybe BB dropped their used price on Scarface finally? I doubt it, though I think it's dropping universally to $20 anyway.
