Buy 1, Get 1 Free on PS2 games @ FYE, after mail in rebate

Be warned though, I was there earlier in the week so I noticed some games from the PS2 clearance from before. When i got home, I checked to see if they were worth it. Went back today, some of them were marked up. One was even labelled higher than earlier in the week but still scanned it's old price.

Also, the mail in rebate doesn't print out. You need to get it from the cashier. And this is going on until 7/14.

They have been doing this for a few months now.

It's now "period 6" of their promotion schedule and they have been offering this since period 3 or 4 this year. Each period has its own rebate form.

Some stores are straight up B1G1 out the door (YMMV). Others, like my store, are B1G1 after rebate.

Can I go to a store that require rebate and return that in another store that does direct and repurchase it and other games to get BOGO free?

I decided to stop in FYE today and see what they had, since I got skunked at 3 Gamestops today (all picked through).

They didn't have much, but I managed to grab the last copies of both God of War II and FFXII (both black cases too; I hate GH) for $35 out of pocket (after 20% off by signing up for their club thing) with a $20 MIR on top of that. So, ~$15 for brand new copies of two of the best games for PS2...not a bad deal.
