If this has already been posted, I apologize.

If not, here's the deal:

Buy 2 Brand New (no used) games for XBOX, PS2 and/or Gamecube (ONLY - no other systems) and get one free - as long as all three games are $18.99 or less.

What brought me in the store was the new markdowns for XBOX/PS2/GCN games.

I had no idea about the sale, until the employee told me that if I got one more, I would get it for free, as long as they were under $18.99.

This is NOT a YMMV sale. Again, if this has already been covered, sorry.

Here's what I took home, all new:

Indiana Jones & The Emperor's Tomb (XBOX) $16.99
Capcom Fighting Revolution (XBOX) $14.99
Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded (XBOX) $14.99 (FREE)

Manhunt (XBOX) $14.99
Silent Hill 4: The Room (XBOX) $14.99
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (XBOX) (FREE)

Beyond Good & Evil (XBOX) $9.99
Siren (PS2) $9.99
Ultra Bust-A-Move (XBOX) $9.99 (FREE)

Total Spent: $88.70 / 9 games = $9.86 each (or $9.10 plus tax)

I thought it was a good deal. Plus, I'll sell the Ultra Bust-A-Move, to help defray the cost of the rest.

Anyway - check it out if you haven't already!

Good luck.

Steve

This deal's been on and off since November.

I actually think that that deal isn't running at the moment (it recently ended, maybe the employee was not informed?) but I haven't worked in a bit so I could be wrong.

Were all these games sitting out in a marked area or did you have to ask when you go into the store ask them to print a report for NEW games for whatever system because even at my store we have some games that aren't out.... especially with the newest mark down.

as far as I know the deal is still in affect. the deal was better awhile back because it was buy 2 get 2 free

..i'm actually shocked that a store still had a new copy of Beyond Good & Evil on XBox. I haven't seen one of those come through, new or used, in fucking eons.

I would jump on this deal but the EB/GameStop Buy 2 Get 1 Free Deal has given me a nice stack of games to play for a while. Thanks anyways for the heads up OP!

Was also there a week ago and this deal was going on, but by today its over. Samething happened to me a EB with the buy 2 xbox used games get one free :(

I'd visited three different GC's in my area today, and they all said the same thing, so I picked up three sets (one at each location.)

I printed off the markdown list from another post in the Video Game Deals thread that lists them.

Went in, saw which titles I wanted, and they rang up with the markdowns at the register. That easy.

They can look up in the computer to see if they have a title in stock (at their store), and whether it's a new/used copy.

Hope this helps.

Was pretty happy about it, since the markdown brought new copies down to $10.

When you consider that three $10 games only costs $20 plus tax, it's like getting the game for under $7. Pretty cool.

Yeah, this has been running (off and on) as Scorch said, for a while. Usually they have a rack set up in the middle of the store with all these games in them and for whatever reason 3/4 of them have been opened (it is this way at the 3-4 GC stores I frequent, anyway).

I had a coupon from a Wii purchase in Dec that was a Buy 1 Get 1 free on these games ($18.99 or less). That one was pretty nice and yet I still had a hard time finding two games I wanted .

But this brings up an interesting point. Why is it that GC and EB/GS never have Buy 2 Get 1 free on all new games like TRU does, or even as other stores (like Best Buy, Fred Meyer, etc) will do on Greatest Hits/Player's Choice titles? You'd think if nothing else this would drive used game trades towards them (since that's what they make their money on anyway). (Ie, people might trade games in to get credit to spend on the B2G1).

Some EB/GS stores do a lot better than others with new game sales. You can always tell when one store has 5 rows of "new" ps2 games, and others will have 2.

I think they bring in enough trade in's already with the B2G1 free on used games. It also helps that they give out cash. I wish Game Crazy could offer that too, it'd bring in a better selection of used games and probably more B2G1 free sales @ GC ;)

how does a new copy of beyond good and evil still exist! i've been wanting that for the longest time and don't really feel like getting ripped off by getting a used copy at gamestop for 20 bucks.

GS/EB don't want their new games to compete with the used games. They make a hell of a lot more money selling you B2G1 used than they would for B2G1 new. I don't know why GC has this for cheaper new games, maybe since they are smaller than GS/EB they do this to drum up business.

I think TRU does this to clear up stock of older games before the Christmas rush and as a loss leader to bring in customers.

I got my NEW copy of BG&E (PS2) off of EBay for around $9 shipped. I always thought that was the average price for it these days.

Couldn't help myself today...

Demon Stone (XBOX) $14.99
Otogi 2 (XBOX) $14.99
Activision Anthology (PS2) FREE

Baten Kaitos (GCN) $17.99
Winning Eleven 9 (XBOX) $14.99
Indigo Prophecy (XBOX) FREE

6 games; $68.15 (including tax) = $11.36 per game (or $10.49 ea + tax)

Still feel pretty good about it.

But the last store also had...

Sealed copy of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2) for $29.99

3 copies of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS) GUIDE for $7.99 ea!

It was a good day for me!

Peace,
Steve
There's nothing but B&M with GameCrazy though right?
Yup. GameCrazy does not sell online.
B&M for sure.

This deal was still active for me today, even though the signage I saw said it ended 3/23. The employee just took the lowest item off.

Nice for the DS guides. As for Disgaea, it is a universal price. Actually you might get it cheaper somewhere else.
