Title says it all. If you're looking for any used xbox games, it will be the time to pick them up. I don't think there are any restrictions on the games that qualify for the B2G1 either. The sale ends on 2/18. If something new comes up for the following marketing period, I'll let you all know. I'm hoping for a trade deal to come up soon.

EDIT:
The GI coupon may not work since it says not valid with any other offers, we'll see when it goes into effect if it works or not.

awesome, some of the title are very accessible, and i never would've thought because of the cover is bad.

just need to cross check if they can be had online else where for cheaper :)

Word. Go to Circuit City and pick up Hulk: UD for 8.96!
Conker: Live and Reloaded - If you never played the N64 original, buy this game for the single-player mode. It's the funniest game I have ever played (although that's not saying much, games aren't often funny), but seriously. It's hilarious. Also, the platforming gameplay is perfect, and the additional sequences - such as a Saving Private Ryan third-person shooting sequence, a Matrix hallway shootout complete with destructable environments and bullet time, and a raptor-riding boss-fighting battle - control perfectly and are executed flawlessly.
Xbox version is better for multiplayer, N64 is better for single player. Why? Because the N64 version is (suprisingly) uncensored. The Xbox version fails for censoring The Great Mighty Poo and his musical.
Shenmue 2 - Haven't played it yet because I don't want to be left with the ultimate cliffhanger indefinitely (Shenmue III is NOT in production), but Shenmue was a brilliant game with an engaging story and I can't see Shenmue 2 screwing that up in any way.
From what I've heard, Shenmue III has been finished for quite a while. The only problem is deciding where it'll be put on. There's also talks of just putting the first three chapters into one game with the rest of the series.

Is that the only part of Conker that is sensored? I'm tempted to pick this up, but I'm still a little unsure. It's $17 at my EB, which is a little much. I missed my chance to pick it up at target on clearance.

Yeah the selection was limited at another EB games I went too, about an an hr away, don't ask. Also my bro sent me my stuff in the mail, I got the limited edition of Jade Empire works gret, no extra disc and DOA Ulimate 1 and 2 both work well. The Warrior Within won't load on my xbox or my roomates newer one, it's going back to the store. Is there anyway to return them online. Might try to pick up Silent Hill 4, Godfather, and Blitz the League
No, the whole game on Xbox is pretty much censored unfortunately. :\
Thanks, I didn't know about it being censored. I think I'll pass on that game and look for the n64 version. Right now I'm looking at picking up Ninja Gaiden Black, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Futurama, and Halo 2. I might pass on Halo 2 for this deal since there is like a $3 difference between the new and used versions.

I've already picked up Shenmue II, Raze's Hell, and Crimson Skies.

If anyone's looking for a third game on the cheap, I recommend NFL 2k5. This is the game that scared EA so much that they spent mad cash to buy up the NFL license before word got out that *gasp* Madden sucks compared to this. It was 1.99 at my local EB and I can't imagine any place having it for more.

The only issue (and this sucks big time I admit) it isn't backwards compatible so as much as I want to play it online on my 360, I can't. My xbox's port for it's internet connection got fried a couple years ago, long story.
Remember to check your discs before you leave, people! Got Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (THIS GAME KICKS ASS), Manhunt, and Spider-Man 2 today, and Spider-Man 2 had some sort of acid spots all over the "read" side of the disc. I mean, I Disc-Doctored this bastard four times and the spots are still deep enough to feel when you rub your finger over them. It's like fucking braille, and they bought the damn thing back from someone. This is the fourth game out of maybe 15 total games I've bought from them that is unplayable off the bat.
I haven't had anything that terrible yet but I did get the "Platinum Hits" disc of Dead or Alive 3 in the original style box. I'm going back today to get the right box. Or the right disc.

Picked up Street Fighter: AC, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Midnight Club II. Also got KoF: Max Impact Maniax new for 14.99. They had one of those awesome SF controller for 5 bucks, so of course I grabbed that as well. Not too bad for 45 bucks.

Hoping for a 360 BC update soon.
Picked up:
Panzer Dragoon
PSO 1 + 2
Star Wars :KOTOR
Jade Empire LE
Half Life 2
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Don't know if i'll ever find the time to play these tho. Maybe i should retunn them lol

I went back today and got Intellivision Lives, Rallisport Challenge 2 and Prince of Persia : Warrior Within for 16.99 after Edge card and tax.

The only reason I mention this is because Rallisport Challenge 2 is the best Rally racing game I've ever played. The original Sega Rally comes close but with only a few tracks and 3 cars, it doesn't last as long.

I ended up with a pretty beat up copy of halo, and nice copies of Forza motorsport, and Fable:The Lost Chapters.

I noticed, once I got home, that on each of the price tags it has a little (BC) beside it. Is Gamestop marking the backward compatible games?

Yes they do mark them on the price tag. But they are still a little behind. Counter Strike has recently been added to the BC list, but price tags don't show it. The tags I saw might have been done before the list was last updated though.

PSO Episode 1 & 2 has little chance of being added to the BC list. Microsoft has all but forgotten the game even exists online (the game's lobbies have been stuck on permanent Valentine's Day and several files have been lost to make any updates) and Sonic Team is shutting down the GameCube and Dreamcast servers globally.

man that sucks, I just like the offline mode that lets you play multiplayer on 1 console. I guess i should just return it for something else. Thanks for the advice!

Picked up:

Crazy Taxi 3
Jet Set Radio Future
Shenmue 2

Odd thing I noticed something after I bought them. These are all Sega game, all sequels, and each of the game's previous titles were on Dreamcast. Freaky stuff. I had been meaning to pick these up for a long time but was just waiting for the right time. $15 for 3 great Xbox games. Can't beat that.

Only the GameCube version allows multiplayer offline, I'm afraid. Mainly because Nintenod's online strategy for the Cube (or rather lack of one) was still up in the air and Sonic Team was unsure if there'd even be an online version whereas Microsoft had Live all planned out.

Though thanks for reminding me Crazy Taxi 3 existed. x_x; I must hunt for that now.

I could have sworn that PSO Ep.1&2 on the Xbox allowed offline play...the caveat was that you had to have a valid Gamertag...then again, I guess that's as good as requiring XBL still. :p

true, you had to sign on to get offline play (wtf? seriously), but it won't be bc... that's for sure

Yeah, that's pretty much the bottom line...with PSU, I'm sure there's that feeling of no need to continue with the older game.

while i see the logic in this case (sega stopping support for the pso), THAT's what M$ should be doin', after all. it IS suppose to make games bc... kinda thought that would happen to doau, since doa4 was out (online play), but i guess it just matters according to fan requests, ease of porting to 360, and support of the publisher... otherwise, why would newer games be bc before the classics?

The best deal on this promotion for the real cheapasses is easily the following 3 games if you didn't get them yet (plus, they're not that hard to find). It even covers a lot of genres. The XBOX Exhibition Demo Disc: Volume 2, Sega GT/JSRF combo pack, NFL2K5. All for less than $4 (Each game is $1.99)! Here's why:

Exhibition Volume 2: Contains the FULL JAPANESE VERSION of Capcom vs. SNK 2! Okay, maybe not full, but might as well be. All you'll be missing is some minor things Replay Mode and the stuff that is unlockable (custom grooves and boss characters). Network Mode for online play is also disabled (does anyone even play it online now?) and you also can't save your settings in the options. Every other mode (Arcade, Versus, Training, Survival) are fully operational. For $2, it's definitely worth a purchase since the real copy used goes for $17 (should you even find it). Comes with some other demos and videos too, but CvS2 should be the main reason for the purchase.

Sega GT/JSRF combo: No need to really say anything about it since just about everyone else did already. Costs less than JSRF by itself, and comes with another game in the disc. Although the shiny box for the original JSRF is pretty nice.

NFL2K5: More filler for me than anything, but it's a game that has a lot of diehard fans that still supports it with updated rosters and enhancement packs to keep it fresh. You'd need an action replay for all of that, though.

man i really wanted to play pso 1 n 2 offline multi. I almost beat the 1st one on the GC and now its really hard to find for it. damn... Any other good suggestions? Any chance on SF: Anniversary Collection going BC or you think they'll hold off and jsut release XBLA ones?

Get a dreamcast and PSO 1 & 2?

I was going to pick up a few more games besides some really cheap ones, but neither of the GS or EB near me had the two main ones I was looking for. I was wanting Fable:The Lost Chapters and Ninja Gaiden Black. I'll probably just go to gamecrazy to pick some of the games I've been looking for. Their prices seem a little better.

Well, if they really wanted "bang for the buck", they'd get not only the GT/JSRF combo

but on top of it, the Tetris/Star Wars combo, as well as the demo disc you listed, for less than $8 they'd be getting FIVE GAMES which are all worth playing [this is great if you have an original XBOX]

Even better if they get 2 month live trials with them.

i prefer substituting the nfl2k5 game for the top spin/ncaa 05 football game... topspin's awesome
nah, i think my store is expensive because it's in a ritzy area... halo for 9.99 haloII for 12.99... i picked up soul calibur II 9 or 7 then saw half.com has it for 3.95. time to hit another store.
ask for a price check, a lot of stores just dont update their tags. i can pretty much promise you all the ones that were tagged over 10 bucks will ring up for less
It's not supposed to, and never has in my experience. Mine says on the back of it "Discounts apply to USED PRODUCTS ONLY: games, accessories and DVDs". Doesn't mention systems.
if you buy the edge card at the same time you are buying a used system you can get the 10% off to count for the system. that is the storewide policy.
This sale reminds me how much stuff still isn't BC.

There's still a few things that I'll pick up though, hopefully tonight!

Has anyone noticed the used prices on Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, Darkwatch, Fable: TLC, and Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction?

I checked their site but didn't see them.
dark alliance 2 rings up at $34.99 at my eb

So you're supposed to get 20% off the B2G1 Xbox games with the Edge card and GI coupon? The cashier only gave me the 10% Edge discount on the Xbox games, but I bought Advance Wars GBA and got 20% off (marked $10, rang up $8).
