Went to a local a Gamestop today and they had a sign up today for this sale starting up again. It looks like its going on through May 27, 2007. Picked up a few games. The extra 10% off with you GS card works as well with the deal.

Another Gamestop said it didn't start until Monday, April 16.

Im going back tommorrow to return the games the didn't work and gonna see what I can pick up or if theres anything left. it's a great deal if you still own an xbox hopefully all my games work.

How long is this deal going on for? i forgot

If your still looking for the product number for bgda2 its 950467

also some others that arent on their site:
F1 2001 950103
Barbie Horse rescure(it's good filler just to unload on ebay if you cant find a third game) 950411

and BGDA2 for ps2 is 938764 if anyone is interested in that...

you can get these numbers by calling a store and asking for the game and when they dont have it ask them for the product ID number.
Conker's BFD has no possibility of going on Virtual Console. Microsoft owns Rare, Rare made Conker, MS owns Conker.
I wouldn't say never per'se; after all, M$ itself looks at Nintendo as more friend than foe. Case-in-point, look at the M$ owned franchises that apeared on NDS and GBA. If M$ can develop games for Nintendo systems, whose to say they don't strike a deal with Nintendo to release Conker (and other N64) games on the VC.

Conker was excluded from Diddy Kong Racing DS. That alone should be enough to note that Conker ain't appearing on a Nintendo console again.
Not entirely. I've had moments where something appeared to be in stock through the search and came out empty handed upon leaving the store that supposedly had what I was looking for.
That could be because of the following reason's.

1. Game got sold before you got to the store.
2. Game could be missing.
3. Game could be defective. When we move stuff to defective it counts it in the store locater.
4. Game could be on hold for an employee.

I was simply given an odd look and told they haven't had what I was looking for in a good long time and to not trust the site. >_>;

These are all possible reasons, granted, but sometimes it's just wrong. It's always been "mostly accurate", since when I used ebgames.com to find SNES games, and it's the same as it ever was even on these backordered games - mostly accurate.

It's definitely worth giving a shot, no doubt about it.
in the latest gameinformer, there is a 10% off used.

is it possible to do 20% off + b2g1 xbox?
YMMV, but that didn't work for me last time they had b2g1 used Xbox games. They only gave me 10% off the non-Xbox used titles that I was buying.
Can anyone help me find Futurama for the PS2 or Xbox using their super special and confusing but effective method?
Try this for Futurama XBox:
http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product_id=950339

Or for others...
- In the yellow 'Used Games' list at the top select a platform (e.g. XBox)
- At the very bottom of the page click 'Show backordered used products that may be available in stores.'
- Use the 'Product Search' box to do a search on futurama
- You should see a list of back ordered items. Click on the one you want and enter a zip code for a store search.

Xbox Futurama can be found. Good luck with the PS2 version tho. Ive been looking for that for eons.

And here is the PS2 version's listing on GameStop:

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?cookie%5Ftest=1&product%5Fid=938620

Use the zip code locator to see if any stores in your area have it. Since it isn't a super rare/valuable game, call the store before you head out to ensure that they still have it. Good luck to you and the other dude who's been looking for eons!

I think it just went down but thank you to everyone that helped! :D
There is one Xbox version kinda near me and i will try and get it. Thanks again!
What a great time for this deal to come around now that the BC list has been updated.
when was it updated?
Just now. Run to EBstop before they find out and jack up the prices.
meh, the only that interest me I already own...

but why the hell do they bother adding games that are already on the 360 like Tiger Woods, and leave others off

i had pretty good luck with it today. i picked up indigo prophecy ($13), thief 3 (10), and forza motorsport (8, better than waiting for the 2 demo). thanks for the heads up on this one. i've been wanting these games for a while.

Heh I was reading through this thread wondering if there'd be a new BC update witht he Spring update or if it'd hit earlier. Two posts later I see that it has been today :p

Good update too: Panzer Dragoon Orta, JSRF, (only GunValkyrie needed to complete the Smilebit trilogy) Wolfenstein, Breakdown (awesome game! it's cheap at Gstop), Mercenaries, Phantom Dust, Street Fighter AC.

Still no TimeSplitters FP but I can't really complain with an update like that. Gotta go dig out Panzer Dragoon to see what it looks like upscaled to HD.

Why are people acting as though they could never afford these games until this deal came around? Most of you are saving less than 10$ and acting as though you got 2 free. You still had to pay for the first two you have been waiting for. Why didnt you get them already?

Well, I know a lot of us weren' t buying some of the Xbox titles because they weren't backwards compatable. Well, now a few additional good ones - like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Mercenaries and Phantom Dust - have been added.

The B2G1 deal just sweetens that fact.

Is Phantom Dust worth a buy? I'd pair it with Buffy and get another cheap-ass game free, but I have Buffy.

Also, if you don't have Buffy, you suck.
Fable LC went PH so it shouldn't be terribly hard to find.
I thought Fable LC was only in the PH, and that Fable was in the normal release?

I managed to find a used CIB Steel Battalion for $49.99, less 10%, plus Sniper Elite ($34.99) and Scarface ($34.99). That's $76.50 for all three. Steel Battalion goes for over $100 on ebay, so I am happy.

I also managed to track down a Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2x. Haven't seen one of those around for awhile. It was only $2.99.

You are correct, sir.

I love it when a gs has mutiple copies of a game box and when you hand them one to put the disc in they say "sorry, despit displaying 10 empty cases of this game we dont have it"...so far its happen for phantom dust (The only reason I even went to the 3 gs's),mercenaries and Castlevainia....but I did pick up Doom 3 LE ($17.99),Wolfstein and DOA 3 for $24 so its cool...I'd love to find SFA Collection and P.Dust though.....

Here's what I learned today...

- if the website says they have 4+, they may *not* have it
- if the website says they have 0, they *may* have it
- if the case doesn't have the manual it may be behind the counter
- if you're lucky, a cool person may let you trade a crappy disc-only copy (from another store) for one with a case and manual
- if you want to do an exchange or return, you'll have trouble with the 'free' one on the receipt

picked up rtcw finally, ive wanted that since release, along with psops, thats goign back since it doesnt work, and sw episode 3. which from my 15 minutes of play, is far better than i expected.
i really wanted indigo prophecy, but it was disk only, gonna track that down and ty and pair it with cal of cthulu and something else.

Not a bad sale... but damn if it wasn't tough even finding three games I wanted at the same store.

Regardless, picked up:

Hitman 2
Hitman Contracts
007: Agent Under Fire
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Syberia

For about $22, I was pleased.

Wow, Great stuff for 22. Im gonna check out this sale tonight. Im holding on to my XBOX games and Always on the lookout for more.

Yup... it's a pretty okay sale. Bear in mind two things, though... one, condition may have to be overlooked a bit on this one. EVERYTHING in the bins at the two I went to were beat to hell. Acceptable, to be sure, but nothing that would even pass for looking 'new'. Two, just because it's marked a certain price doesn't mean it is. Out of those six games I bought, only ONE was the marked price, which was 'Chaos Theory' at $9.99 (which means the stickers were JUST changed because it was $12.99 the day before the sale). Every other game I picked up was cheaper than marked.

Good luck!

Since triggerman asked about it and carthitup mentioned they changed their prices, I edited it posted to show what they cost now. Gamestop price dropped a lot of games right before the sale started. Although it still seems that SC: Chaos Theory LE is still $17.99 used(wonder why the regular edition dropped, but the LE didn't).

I just swaped psiops for futurama! Huzzah! the guy screwed up on the prices though (for the B2G1) and i got charged a few dollars more but he felt bad so he renewed my edge card for a year! Huzzah for nice Ebgame employees. Thanks again for everyone that helped.

I tried to get SF Collection, Mortal Kombat Armageddon and Bloody Roar Extreme today. They found everything but MK:A right away and then their Gamestop-ness kicked in and they couldn't find MK:A. I asked if they could just charge me the used price for a new copy (which was 2 dollars more) and they couldn't (or wouldn't I suppose).

It boggles my mind how Gamestop either A.) Doesn't train it's managers to attempt to take care of customers (I waited at least 15 minutes while they tore the store apart looking for MK:A) or B.) Doesn't give it's manager's the ability to take care of customers.

Does anyone know if it's literally impossible for GS to override prices and whatnot?
Does anyone know if it's literally impossible for GS to override prices and whatnot?
I don't think it's impossible but the last time I had a price overrided was a few years ago, before the merge so that was on a completely different POS. I haven't worked at an EB/GS myself but, where I've worked elsewhere, some of those repricing functions are locked out or unavailable to the standard cashier. The managers usually have access to those functions and it's pretty much up to their own judgment whether or not an item gets marked down.

As for games being missing...sometimes that depends. In my local stores it's because the worker who will only be there for three weeks before never showing up again just throws the case back out onto the floor after forgetting to give it to a customer, or some other mistake. Sometimes it's because it's the last empty case they have left and someone left the old game's sticker or slip on the case by accident.

It sucks, I know, but sometimes things just aren't as organized as the customers or the employees would like.

Riiiight. I am not sure exactly what you expect. They can't ring something as used and sell you a new game. Both of the games have separate sku's and doing stuff like that throws the inventory off and can alter what you are shipped. Taking care of the employee doesn't include botching the inventory count. If somebody is looking for something over 15 minutes, they are trying to take care of you. Most people wouldn't look for 5 minutes if there was only 1 copy and they couldn't find it.

Picking up...

Panzer Dragoon Orta
Shenmue 2
Oddworld: Munch's Odysee
XIII
Brute Force
MVP Baseball 05
Ninja Gaiden
Max Payne
JSRF/Sega GT

For about $32 tomorrow

You can get 18 games for about $62 if you buy only $7.99 or less titles. 30 games is about $103, all under $7.99.

You of course can't be fussy about what you buy.

The games have a date on the yellow sticker. Usually the one on the front top has the most current date. If the date is a couple months old it's probably wrong and should have been changed by the stores clerks. Games generally do not go up in price, though Gamestop seems to be getting better at raising/holding prices on uncommon/popular titles.

I'm actually going to pursue a complete Xbox collection over the next couple years and these sales are fantastic if you plan ahead. I'm planning on going back to a few stores looking for games on the backwards compatibility list (any I don't have).

Most of the clerks are unusually happy when you buy a bunch of games. They hate looking up alot of games at once, but they are happy they don't have to count them on their inventories, or change the prices on them again...

I really hope you were being sarcastic. If not, I feel really sorry for you.

I got PD Orta, Counterstrike (seems really dated and boring) and RtCW for $16.xx

Their inventory was obviously already screwed up as evidenced by the lack of a copy of MK:A when they had a beautiful, shiny case for it. Furthermore, they open the goddamn new games and stick them on the shelves. The right thing to do would have been to figure out a way to make it right. I mean, his tag said "Store Manager", he's supposed to "manage" things like this.

Just wanted to let you know the JSRF/SEGA GT 2002 isn't completely back compatible on the 360. I'm sure its an easy fix and will happen soon, but for now its "BORKED!!".
anyone try to use the 10% in gameinformer along with edge card with b2g1?
It didn't work last time around for me, they only gave the Edge 10% discount.

I snagged Return to Castle Wolfenstein, GunValkyrie, and Grabbed by the Ghoulies today for under $10. Not too shabby.
